The manual is available in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, German, and French.
Important Safety Warning
WARNING: PROLONGED CONTINUOUS OPERATION OF AN AMPLIFIER IN A DISTORTED OR CLIPPED MANNER CAN CAUSE YOUR AUDIO SYSTEM TO OVERHEAT, POSSIBLY CATCHING FIRE AND RESULTING IN SERIOUS DAMAGE TO YOUR COMPONENTS AND/OR VEHICLE. KICKER PRODUCTS ARE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING SOUND LEVELS THAT CAN PERMANENTLY DAMAGE YOUR HEARING! TURNING UP A SYSTEM TO A LEVEL THAT HAS AUDIBLE DISTORTION IS MORE DAMAGING TO YOUR EARS THAN LISTENING TO AN UNDISTORTED SYSTEM AT THE SAME VOLUME LEVEL. THE THRESHOLD OF PAIN IS ALWAYS AN INDICATOR THAT THE SOUND LEVEL IS TOO LOUD AND MAY PERMANENTLY DAMAGE YOUR HEARING. PLEASE USE COMMON SENSE WHEN CONTROLLING VOLUME.

Installation
Mounting
Choose a structurally sound location to mount your KICKER PXIBT100.2. Ensure there are no items behind the mounting area. Select a location that allows at least 4 inches (10cm) of open ventilation for the amplifier. Drill four holes using a 7/64" (3mm) bit and use the supplied #8 screws to mount the amplifier. Mount the unit behind the fairing, underneath the seat, or in another secure location isolated from weather.

Remote Mounting
The remote bar mounting clamp can be installed on either the left or right side on the back of the remote.
Use the included remote mounting plate for a custom, flush installation. Exercise caution to avoid drilling into wiring or vehicle mechanisms. You are responsible for the safe and secure mounting of the unit and remote. A cut-out template is provided to assist with installation.
Diagram Description: Illustration showing the remote mounting clamp and plate. It indicates the clamp can be attached to either side of the remote. Dimensions are provided: Width: 86mm, Height: 41mm, Depth: 18mm. It also shows a 1m cable and mentions using the included 1.5m remote extension cable if necessary.
Wiring
Disconnect the vehicle's battery to prevent electrical shorts. Connect the PXIBT harness to the amplifier. A good ground connection is crucial. For motorcycles, extend the ground wire to the battery. Install a 15A fuse in the yellow +12V constant wire, within 18 inches (45cm) of the battery and in-line with the harness' power cable. When removing the amplifier, disconnect the ground wire last.
Diagram Description: Illustration of the PXIBT100.2 unit with its wiring harness. The harness includes wires for: +12V Constant (yellow), +12V Ignition (red), Remote turn-on out (blue), Ground (black). It also shows RCA outputs (red and white), a 3.5mm aux input, and connections labeled L+, L-, R+, R- for speakers (2 or 4 ohm).
Operation
Crossover Switches
Use the HI-PASS switches located behind the rubber protective cover to set the internal crossover frequency. Options include OFF, 60Hz, 80Hz, or 120Hz, depending on the configuration of switches 1 and 2. Do not change switches while the audio system is on.
Music Playback
The PXIBT100.2 receives audio via Bluetooth, 3.5mm AUX input, and USB input. The USB input supports MP3 and WMA file formats.
Bluetooth Pairing: The unit enters Bluetooth pairing mode on first use. To re-enter pairing mode, press and hold the PLAY-PAUSE button until the Bluetooth LED flashes blue rapidly. On your audio device, enable discovery mode and select 'KICKER PXIBT'. A solid blue Bluetooth icon indicates a successful connection. A slow flashing blue icon means the unit is paired but not connected.
Input Selection and Controls
Briefly press the POWER button to cycle through Bluetooth, AUX, and USB input modes. The unit remembers the last selected mode. You can press and hold the POWER button to turn the unit ON/OFF. It is recommended to wire the RED (+12V Ignition) wire through a switched accessory to turn the unit ON/OFF with the vehicle.
Brightness Control: Press and hold the Track button for 5 seconds. The volume buttons will then control the LED brightness (0-10). The unit exits brightness mode after 5 seconds of inactivity.
Input Status LEDs:
- B/T - Slow Flash: Paired; no connection
- B/T - Rapid Flash: Pairing mode
- B/T - Solid: Bluetooth Connected
Diagram Description: Illustration of the control panel layout. Buttons are labeled: Volume (+/-) for audio and brightness control, Track (forward/backward), Power/Source Select. LED status indicators are shown. Control functions are described: Volume buttons adjust brightness up/down when in brightness mode. Short press on the center button acts as PLAY-PAUSE. Press and hold the center button enters PAIRING MODE. The POWER button is for OFF/ON and SOURCE SELECTION (Bluetooth/AUX/USB). Notes indicate Bluetooth range up to 30ft.
Troubleshooting
If the PXIBT100.2 is not functioning, check for blown fuses, incorrect wiring, or improper switch/gain settings. A Power Protection LED indicates the unit's status (Red for issues, Blue for normal operation).
- Blue LED off, no output: Check +12V power terminal, remote turn-on terminal, power/ground connections, and ground terminal conductivity using a Volt Ohm Meter (VOM).
- Blue LED on, no output: Check RCA connections, test speakers with a known good speaker, substitute the source unit, and check for RCA signal with a VOM.
- Protection LED flashing with loud music: Indicates low battery voltage. Check vehicle charging system connections, battery, or alternator.
- Protection LED on, no output: If the amplifier is very hot, thermal protection is engaged. Check speaker impedance and airflow. If the unit shuts down while the vehicle is running, voltage protection is engaged; check the vehicle's charging system (10-16V operating range). If the amplifier plays only at low volume, short circuit protection is engaged; check speaker wires for shorts or damaged speakers.
- No or low output: Check source unit balance control and speaker output connections.
- Alternator noise-whining sound: Check 3.5mm cable for damage and routing. Adjust gain settings if too high.
- Reduced bass response: Reverse speaker connections (positive/negative) to check for phase issues.
CAUTION: Ensure correct connections when jump-starting a vehicle to prevent blown fuses or damage to other systems.
