- Search Scan (SE): When the radio detects a signal, it remains on that channel and stops scanning.
Frequency or channel scan
In channel/frequency mode, press MENU and 1SCAN. The radio scans all channels from the current one. If a signal is detected, scanning stops for 8 seconds. Press PTT to transmit, and scanning resumes after 8 seconds. Press any key except PTT to end scanning; the radio returns to the channel or frequency used before scanning.
Priority channel scan
Priority scan means the radio starts scanning from the priority channel first, then scans other channels (e.g., 1-2, 1-3, 1-4 if channel 1 is priority). Procedure: In channel mode, press MENU and 2PRI. The radio scans the priority channel. If a signal is detected, scanning pauses for 8 seconds, then PTT can be used to transmit. Scanning resumes after 8 seconds. Press any key except PTT to end scanning.
