Introduction
This manual provides essential guidance for Hobbywing's QUICRUN 3652/3660 G2 series sensorless brushless motors. It covers critical information for users to ensure safe and optimal operation of these high-performance RC components.
01 Warnings
Users must carefully check power devices and car frame manuals to ensure reasonable power pairing. Avoid incorrect pairings that could overload and damage the motor. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent loss of control. Never apply full throttle without a pinion installed, as high RPMs without load can damage the motor. Avoid motor case temperatures exceeding 100°C (212°F) to prevent magnet demagnetization.
02 Specifications
This section details the specifications for various QUICRUN 3652SL-G2 and 3660SL-G2 models, including KV ratings, LiPo compatibility, no-load current, dimensions, shaft details, bearing sizes, pole count, weight, and recommended applications for 1/10 scale RC vehicles like buggies, trucks, and monster trucks.
03 Installation & Connection
Guidance is provided on motor installation, including using appropriate M3 screws for mounting and confirming screw length to avoid damaging the motor. The manual explains connecting the motor to an ESC, noting that the wire sequence (A/B/C) is flexible and can be swapped to change motor rotation direction. Inspection of installation and connections before powering on is recommended.
04 Gearing
Proper gear ratio selection is vital for motor performance and longevity. The manual advises keeping motor operating temperatures below 100°C (212°F) to prevent demagnetization and damage. It recommends starting with a smaller pinion (larger FDR) and checking temperatures regularly, adjusting as needed for different conditions.
05 Assembly and Disassembly
To ensure longer service life and higher efficiency, regular checks of bearings and cleaning of internal dirt are suggested. The manual provides steps and diagrams for motor installation and disassembly, recommending following reverse steps for disassembly.
Parts List
The document includes a parts list, identifying components such as the Stator Set, Rotor, Rear End Bell, and screws for fastening the rear end bell.
