What's in the Box?

Quick Start

  1. Install AA and AAA batteries correctly, observing polarity (+/-). Ensure battery covers are fully closed.
  2. Turn down the speaker volume before plugging the receiver into the 1/4" (6.35mm) mic input.
  3. Turn on the transmitter and receiver. If the receiver light turns from green to RED, they are successfully paired. If not, reset the microphone (See P16-17). The light stays RED when functioning.
  4. Turn on the camera. You can now start recording.
  5. Slowly adjust the speaker volume from zero to the desired level to avoid feedback noise (howling). Extend the receiver antenna to increase transmission distance if needed.

Use with Camera

  1. Connect the receiver with the provided 1/4" to 1/8" Camera adapter.
  2. Plug the adapter-cable into the mic jack of the camera.
  3. Press and hold the black button on the XLR plug to connect the lavalier/headset mic to the transmitter. Pair the transmitter and receiver.

Note: The 1/4" to 1/8" adapter is not compatible with phones, computers, tablets, or Apple products.

Use with Cell Phone

  1. Connect the receiver with the provided 1/4" to 1/8" TRRS Phone adapter.
  2. For Android: If the default video recorder app does not detect the mic, download and install an app like "Open Camera" from the Google Play Store. Open the app, switch to video mode, go to video settings, then audio source, and select "External mic".
  3. For iPhone (7 and later): You will need a Lightning to 3.5mm adapter (not included). Connect the mic system using the adapter. Use the Voice Memo app or the Camera app to record audio.

Note: The phone adapter is not compatible with cameras, computers, or speakers.

Bodypack Transmitter Connection

  1. Press and hold the black button on the XLR plug to connect the lavalier/headset mic to the jack of the bodypack transmitter.
  2. Wear the headset microphone correctly. The black cushion is for fixing position, not an earphone.

Tips for Wearing

  1. Ensure the transmitter and receiver are in direct line of sight. Keep the receiver high and away from large metal objects to avoid interference.
  2. The lapel mic is directional with a cardioid pickup pattern. Clip the mic under your chin as close as possible, with the mic head pointed at your mouth.

Warning of Low Battery Power

The battery symbol flashes for 3 seconds as a low-battery warning. Replace batteries promptly when the indicator blinks green or when the mic cuts in and out. Higher usage may drain batteries faster. Turn off the transmitter after use and remove batteries if not used for a long time to prevent leakage.

Note: The transmitter is only compatible with the included headset and lavalier microphones.
