Introduction
This manual guides users through the setup and operation of the Wasserstein Premium Solar Panel, designed to provide continuous power for the Google Nest Cam (battery). Ensure your Nest Cam has the latest firmware before installation.
What's Included
- Solar panel and 360° mounting bracket
- Screws and wall anchors for mounting
- User manual
Installation Guide
Mount the solar panel up to 4 meters (13.1 ft) away from your camera. For optimal performance, select a location that receives several hours of direct sunlight daily. The panel can be mounted on wood surfaces directly with screws, or on brick, concrete, or stucco using anchors after drilling pilot holes (1/8 inch or 3.17mm drill bit recommended). The 360-degree rotatable mount allows for precise sun angle adjustment.
Connecting Your Camera
Connect the Wasserstein Solar Panel to your Google Nest Cam using the provided magnetic charging cable. Ensure the connector is oriented correctly.
Checking Battery Status
The solar panel aims to keep the Nest Cam charged around 70%. Battery status is visible in the Google Home app, especially when levels drop below 20% due to insufficient sunlight. Charging pauses once 70% is reached to preserve battery health.
