Replacement of Batteries

Using the Remote Controller

Recommendations for locating and using the remote controller holder: Keep the remote controller in a wall-mounted holder.

Operating Instructions

The air conditioner operates by drawing air through a filter, cooling/dehumidifying or heating it via a heat exchanger.

The direction of the air outlet is controlled by motorized flaps (up/down) and vertical deflectors (left/right). Some models may have motorized vertical deflectors.

"SWING" Control of Air Flow

The deflectors are positioned manually in front of the flaps to direct airflow upwards and downwards. Do not manually adjust the deflectors, as this may damage the mechanism.

Never insert fingers, sticks, or other objects into air inlet or outlet vents.

Modes of Operation

Cooling Mode

Cools the room and reduces humidity. Activate by pressing MODE until the COOL symbol appears. Set temperature lower than room temperature. Adjust temperature, speed, and airflow direction.

Heating Mode

Heats the room. Activate by pressing MODE until the HEAT symbol appears. Set temperature higher than room temperature. Adjust temperature, speed, and airflow direction.

Note: Units with an electric heater may have a delay before outputting hot air. In HEATING operation, a defrost cycle may activate automatically to remove frost from the condenser.

Timer Mode - Timer On

Programs automatic switching-on time. With the unit powered off, press TIMER to set temperature, then press TIMER again to set the rest time. Press TIMER a third time to confirm. Ensure MODE and FAN speed are set, and the unit is off before programming.

Timer Mode - Timer Off

Programs automatic switching-off time. Press TIMER to set the rest time. Press TIMER again to confirm. The timer function can be set at half-hour intervals.

Fan Mode

Operates in ventilation only. Press MODE until the FAN symbol appears. Fan speed can be set to LOW/MEDIUM/HIGH/AUTO. The remote control remembers the last used speed. FEEL mode automatically selects fan speed and operation mode (COOLING or HEATING).

Dry Mode

Reduces humidity for a more comfortable room. Activate by pressing MODE until the DRY symbol appears. This function uses alternating cooling cycles and fan operation.

Feel Mode

Automatic mode. The fan speed and temperature are set automatically based on the room temperature. Adjust temperature (±2°C), speed, and airflow direction.

Ambient tempOperation modeAuto temp.
< 20°CHEATING (FOR HEAT PUMP TYPE)23°C
20°C~26°CDRY (FOR COOL ONLY TYPE)18°C
> 26°CCOOL23°C

Sleep Mode

Activates the SLEEP function for comfortable night-time operation. In cooling/dry mode, the set temperature gradually increases by 1°C every 60 minutes (total 2°C rise in 2 hours). In heating mode, the set temperature gradually decreases by 2°C over the first 2 hours. After 10 hours, the unit switches off automatically.

Protection

The air conditioner has safety protection features that may activate under abnormal conditions.

For T1 Climate Condition Models:

No.MODEAmbient temperature
1HeatingOutdoor temperature > 24°C
Outdoor temperature < -7°C
Room temperature > 27°C
2CoolingOutdoor temperature > 43°C
Room temperature < 21°C
3DryRoom temperature < 18°C

For Tropical (T3) Climate Condition Models:

No.MODEAmbient temperature
1HeatingOutdoor temperature > 24°C
Outdoor temperature < -7°C
Room temperature > 27°C
2CoolingOutdoor temperature > 52°C
Room temperature < 21°C
3DryRoom temperature < 18°C

Note: The unit may delay operation for about 3 minutes after being turned off or changing modes as a self-protection action. Capacity and efficiency are based on full-load operation tests.

Installation Manual

Selecting the Installation Place

Indoor Unit

Outdoor Unit

Installation Diagram

Diagrams show recommended spacing and placement for indoor and outdoor units, including maximum pipe length (15m) and height difference (5m).

The purchaser must ensure the installer has the necessary qualifications and experience.

Installation of the Indoor Unit

Drilling a hole in the wall for the piping

  1. Decide the hole location for piping.
  2. Install a flexible flange through the hole.
  3. Ensure the hole slopes downwards towards the exterior for proper drain pipe function.

Electrical connections---Indoor unit

  1. Remove the front panel.
  2. Take out accessories.
  3. Remove the cover.
  4. Refer to the circuit diagram for electrical connections.
  5. Connect wires to screw terminals using suitable wire sizes and national safety codes.
  6. The connecting cable must be suitable for outdoor use.
  7. Ensure an efficient earth connection.
  8. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by an authorized Service Centre.

Refrigerant piping connection

Connections to the indoor unit

  1. Remove the indoor unit pipe cap.
  2. Insert the flare nut and create a flange at the connection pipe end.
  3. Tighten connections using two wrenches.

Indoor unit condensed water drainage

  1. Place the drain hose below the piping, avoiding siphons.
  2. Ensure the drain hose slants downwards for drainage.
  3. Do not bend or twist the drain hose. If an extension is used, ensure it is lagged where it passes into the indoor unit.

Installation of the Indoor Unit (Continued)

Installation of the Outdoor Unit

Outdoor unit condensed water drainage (for heat pump models)

  1. Fasten the drain port in the 25mm hole.
  2. Connect the drain port and the drain pipe, ensuring proper drainage.

Electrical Connections (Outdoor Unit)

  1. Remove the handle on the right side plate.
  2. Connect the power connection cord to the terminal board, similar to the indoor unit wiring.
  3. Fix the power connection cord with a wire clamp.
  4. Confirm the wire is fixed properly.
  5. Ensure an efficient earth connection.
  6. Replace the handle.

Connecting the Pipes

Bleeding

To prevent compressor malfunction due to air and humidity in the refrigerant circuit:

  1. Unscrew and remove caps from 2-way and 3-way valves and the service port.
  2. Connect the vacuum pump hose to the service port.
  3. Operate the vacuum pump for 10-15 minutes until an absolute vacuum of 10 mm Hg is reached.
  4. With the pump running, close the low-pressure knob. Stop the pump.
  5. Open the 2-way valve by 1/4 turn, then close it after 10 seconds. Check joints for leaks.
  6. Turn the 2-way and 3-way valves fully open. Disconnect the vacuum pump hose.
  7. Replace and tighten all valve caps.

Operation Test

  1. Apply insulating covering around pipe joints and fix with tape.
  2. Fix the signal cable to the piping or outdoor unit.
  3. Fix piping to the wall using clamps or plastic slots.
  4. Seal the wall hole to prevent air or water entry.

Indoor Unit Test

Outdoor Unit Test

Note: The electronic controller allows the compressor to start only three minutes after voltage is applied.
