Polarized Plug: This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce risk of electric shock, plug is intended to fit into polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not try to modify the plug in any way.
Short Cord Instructions: A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use. The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.

Functions
- Pulse Vacuum: Press and release to vacuum manually. Repeat until desired vacuum is reached, then press 'manual seal' to complete the seal.
- Manual Seal: Seals the open end of a bag without vacuum. When 'Vac&Seal' is active, pressing this button stops vacuuming and starts sealing to control pressure and prevent crushing delicate items.

- Sealing Element: A non-stick heating element that seals the bag and prevents it from sticking to the bar.

Operating Instructions
Making a Bag with the Roll:
- Pull bag material from the roll to the desired length and cut with scissors. Allow extra length for sealing (approx. 3 inches plus 1 inch for each reseal).
- Open the front cover and place one open end of the bag material on the sealing element.
- Close the cover and press down firmly to lock. Ensure both sides lock.
- Press the “Seal” button to start sealing.
- When the sealer stops, the bag is sealed. Press both cover unlock buttons to open and remove the bag.
Vacuum Packaging Your Filled Bag:
- Place items inside the bag.
- Open the cover, clean and straighten the open end of the bag, ensuring no wrinkles or ripples.
- Place the open end of the bag in the vacuum chamber beneath the air intake.
- Close the cover and press down firmly to lock. Ensure both sides lock. Press the “Vacuum&Seal” Button. The bag will be automatically vacuumed and sealed.
- When the sealer stops, the process is complete. Press both cover unlock buttons to open and remove the bag.
- Refrigerate or freeze contents if needed.
NOTE: For best sealing, let the appliance cool for 2 minutes before reuse. Wipe out any excess liquid or food residue from the vacuum chamber after each use.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Vacuum Sealer:
- Unplug the unit before cleaning.
- Clean the vacuum sealer with a damp sponge. Do not immerse in water.
- Use a mild dish soap. Do not use abrasive cleaners as they will scratch the surface.
- Dry thoroughly before using. When storing, do not lock the cover to prevent gasket deformation.
Bags:
- Bag material can be washed in warm water with dish soap. Rinse well and dry thoroughly before reusing.
- Bags can be washed on the top rack of a dishwasher by turning them inside out. Stand the bag up so water can penetrate. Dry thoroughly before reusing. Note: Bags used for greasy foods should not be reused.
Storing Your Vacuum Sealer:
- Keep the unit in a flat, safe place out of reach of children.
- Ensure the cover is not locked when not in use and during storage to prevent gasket deformation.
Vacuum Sealing Tips:
- Do not overfill bags; leave enough space at the open end for placement in the vacuum chamber.
- Do not wet the open end of the bag, as damp bags may be difficult to seal.
- Clean and straighten the open end of the bag before sealing. Ensure no foreign objects, wrinkles, or creases are present on the open area, as these can cause sealing difficulties.
- Avoid vacuum packaging items with sharp points (e.g., fish bones, hard shells) as they can puncture the bag. Use a container instead.
- Allow the vacuum sealer to rest for 2 minutes after each sealing or vacuum sealing cycle.
- To prevent liquids, crumbs, or food particles from entering the vacuum chamber and potentially damaging the appliance, freeze moist and juicy foods first, or place a folded paper towel inside the bag near the top. For powdery or fine-grained foods, do not overfill the bag. You can also place a coffee filter inside the bag before vacuum sealing.
- Pre-freeze fruits and blanch vegetables before vacuum packing for best results.
- Liquids need to be cooled before vacuum packing. Hot liquids can bubble up and overflow. A jar attachment is required for sealing jars.
- Store perishable foods in the freezer or refrigerator. Vacuum packing extends shelf life but does not preserve food indefinitely.
- Pantry items like flour, rice, cake mixes, and pancake mixes stay fresher longer when vacuum packed. Nuts and condiments retain their flavor and prevent rancidity.
- Keep camping supplies (matches, first aid kits, clothing) clean and dry. Keep flares for emergencies ready. Keep silver and collectibles untarnished.
- Fill a bag about 2/3 full with water, seal the end (do not vacuum), and freeze it. Use as an ice pack for coolers or sports injuries.
Troubleshooting
Vacuum Sealer Has No Power:
- Check if the vacuum sealer is plugged in. Test the electrical outlet with another appliance.
- The vacuum sealer will shut off automatically if overheated. Allow it to cool down for 15 minutes and try again.
- Check the power cord and plug for damage. If damaged, do not use the vacuum sealer.
Vacuum Sealer Does Not Perform First Seal on the Bag:
- Ensure the bag cut from the roll is properly positioned as described on page 4 of the operating instructions.
Vacuum Sealer Does Not Pull a Complete Vacuum in Bags:
- For proper sealing, the open end of the bag should rest entirely within the vacuum chamber area.
- Check the seal bar and gaskets for debris and proper position. Wipe clean and smooth them into place.
- The vacuum sealer bag may have a leak. To test, seal the bag with some air, submerge it in water, and apply pressure. Bubbles indicate a leak. Reseal or use another bag.
Vacuum Sealer Not Sealing Bag Properly:
- If the sealing bar overheats and melts the bag, you may need to lift the cover and allow the seal bar to cool for a few minutes.
Vacuum Sealer Loses Vacuum After Being Sealed:
- Leaks along the seal can be caused by wrinkles, crumbs, grease, or liquids. Reopen the bag, wipe the inside top of the bag, and smooth it along the sealing strip before resealing.
- Check the bag for a puncture or hole that may have released the vacuum. Cushion sharp edges in the bag's contents with paper towels.
