Step 1: Set Up Your Television
For most newer Toshiba TVs, the remote should work directly after inserting batteries. Test a few keys. If they do not function as expected, proceed to the next steps.
Troubleshooting:
- Ensure your TV is powered on (not in standby mode).
- Press and hold the RED and BLUE buttons simultaneously until the LED indicator behind the Power Key blinks twice.
- Point the remote towards the TV.
- Press and hold the POWER KEY until the TV turns off. The remote will cycle through different power signals every 3 seconds. Release the POWER KEY as soon as the TV switches off.
- The LED indicator will blink twice.
- Test the remaining keys on the remote. If they now function like your original remote, it is ready for use.
Step 2: If Step 1 Does Not Work as Expected
If some keys are still not working correctly:
- Ensure your TV is powered on.
- Press and hold the RED and BLUE buttons until the LED indicator blinks twice.
- Point the remote towards the TV and press and hold one of the non-functional keys (e.g., MENU).
- The remote will send signals every 3 seconds. When the desired function appears on the TV screen (e.g., the MENU), release the key.
- The LED indicator will blink twice, confirming the remote is ready.
Step 3: Enjoy Your Television
Once the remote is set up correctly, you can enjoy using it with your television.

Battery Installation:
The remote requires 2x AAA batteries. Ensure correct polarity when inserting batteries.
