Installation

Lifting and Moving the Monitor

  • It is recommended to move the monitor in its original packaging.
  • Disconnect the power cord and all cables before moving or lifting.
  • Hold the monitor with the screen facing away from you to avoid damage.
  • Grip the side and bottom of the monitor frame firmly. Avoid holding the transparent part, speaker, or speaker grill area.
  • At least two people are recommended for transporting large monitors.
  • Avoid jolts or excessive vibration during transport.
  • Keep the monitor upright; never turn it on its side or tilt it.
  • Do not apply excessive pressure that could flex or bend the frame chassis, as this may damage the screen.
  • Be careful not to damage protruding buttons when handling.
  • Avoid touching the screen at all times.
  • When attaching the stand, place the screen face down on a cushioned surface to protect it from scratches.

Installing on a Table

  • Lift the monitor and place it upright on the table.
  • Position the monitor at least 100 mm (3.9 inches) away from the wall for sufficient ventilation.
  • Unplug the power cord before moving or installing to avoid electric shock.
  • Use the provided power cord and connect it to a grounded outlet.
  • Contact your dealer for a replacement power cord.

Adjusting the Angle

The screen angle can be adjusted forward/backward (-8° to 15°) and left/right (30°). Do not hold the lower part of the frame or press the screen while adjusting to avoid injury or damage.

Adjusting the Stand Height

Hold the monitor with both hands. The height can be adjusted up to 110.0 mm (4.3 inches). Do not place hands on the stand while adjusting height to avoid injury.

Using the Kensington Lock

Connect the monitor to a table using a Kensington security system cable (optional). Refer to the Kensington lock owner's manual or visit http://www.kensington.com for details.

Installing on the Wall

The monitor supports VESA wall mount plates or compatible devices. Install at least 100 mm (3.9 inches) from the wall and allow 100 mm (3.9 inches) clearance on each side for ventilation.

Installing the Wall Mount Plate

Attach a wall mounting bracket (optional) securely to the back of the monitor and the wall. Use VESA standard screws (e.g., M4 x L10 for 100x100mm mounting). Consult the wall mount kit's installation guide for specifics. Ensure screws are not longer than 8 mm (0.3 inches) from the back of the monitor to prevent internal damage. Unplug the power cord before installation. Use authorized LG wall mounts and qualified personnel for ceiling or slanted wall installations. Excessive force when tightening screws may cause damage not covered by warranty.

Connections

Connect various external devices to your monitor. Change the input mode to select the desired device.

This monitor supports Plug and Play: the PC recognizes attached devices without manual configuration.

If the monitor is turned on in a cold environment, the screen may flicker; this is normal.

Avoid pressing the screen with your finger for extended periods, as this may cause temporary distortion.

To prevent image retention, avoid displaying static images for long periods. Use a screensaver.

Wireless communication devices near the monitor can affect the image.

For optimal connection, HDMI cables and USB devices should have bezels less than 10 mm (0.39 inches) thick and 18 mm (0.7 inches) width.

HDMI Connection

Transmits digital video and audio signals. Ensure the product and external devices are off and unplugged before connecting HDMI cables. Supported audio formats include Dolby Digital/Plus and PCM. Use certified Ultra High Speed HDMI cables (shorter than 3m) with the HDMI logo. If no sound is heard, check PC audio settings. If the connected device supports HDMI Deep Color, the picture may be clearer; otherwise, disable the monitor's [HDMI Deep Color] setting via [General] > [External Devices] > [HDMI Settings].

DisplayPort Connection

Transmits digital video and audio signals. Ensure PC's DP version compatibility. For Mini DisplayPort outputs, use a Mini DP to DP cable or gender supporting DisplayPort 1.4.

USB-C (UPSTREAM) Connection

Transmits digital video and audio signals. USB-C does not support fast charging. PD and DP Alternate Mode are supported. Features may vary based on device specifications. The USB-C port is for PC connection, not monitor power; connect the adapter for monitor power.

USB (USB-IN) Device Connection

The USB-IN port connects USB devices to the PC when using USB-C upstream, or to the monitor otherwise. It is recommended to update Windows before use. Peripheral devices are sold separately. USB-IN supports USB 2.0. Cautions: Devices with automatic recognition programs or custom drivers may not be recognized. Some USB devices may not be supported. Use USB hubs or HDDs with external power. Some USB hubs may not work; connect directly if issues arise. USB-C Dockingstations or Hubs may not work with smart monitors.

Headphones Connection

Connect peripherals via the headphone port. Peripheral devices are sold separately. Audio functions may be limited by PC/external device settings. Angled earphones may interfere with other connections; straight earphones are recommended.
