Installation
Camera Assembly
Description: Diagram illustrating the camera bracket assembly. Components shown include M3 bolts, M3 nuts, M6 bolts, M6 nuts, rubber O-rings, Ø6mm drilling holes, rubber washers, metal washers, and the installation surface. The steps involve fixing the supplied camera bracket to the vehicle, fixing the bracket with the camera according to the drawing, and adjusting the viewing angle of the camera while fastening the screws firmly.
Cable grommet
Description: To install the cable grommet, drill a suitable hole (approximately Ø 19mm) and insert the grommet. Before final fixation, apply a proper sealant between the hole and the grommet, and also between the cable and the grommet to prevent water ingress. A diagram shows the Ø19mm hole and the grommet.
Wiring to Monitor
Description: Run the cable from the camera to the monitor. A diagram shows the camera connector, an extension cable (not supplied), and a monitor. The monitor features a 'Camera pin configuration' box detailing the connections: Heater function (9~12V DC), Video out, Audio out, Power (9~48V DC), and GROUND. The monitor is identified as either an MXN10Q-TVI Monitor or MXN10-TVI Monitor.
IR LED ON/OFF Function
The IR LED function can be controlled via the GREEN loop wire:
- Green loop wire un-cut: IR LED function is ON / Standby
- Green loop wire cut: IR LED function is permanent OFF
Securing cable connection
Follow these steps to secure the cable connection:
- Match the arrow marks and press the connectors together. (Diagram shows two connector halves aligning with arrows.)
- Screw the camera connector up clockwise. (Diagram shows the connectors being screwed together.)
- Tighten cable connection firmly in order to prevent water ingress. (Diagram shows the tightened connection.)
Note: The warranty will not be valid if the problem is related to moist / corrosion in the connector.
Caution !!
- Before making the connection, disconnect the ground terminal from the battery to avoid short circuits.
- The plugs should be fully inserted into the connectors or jacks. A loose connection may cause malfunctioning of the unit.
- A damaged cable may affect the operation of the camera and may even cause a malfunction of the camera or monitor: Avoid a damaged cable!
- Protect the cable by using a guide tube, pipe or run the cable inside the vehicle as much as possible. Caution! Run the cable in natural shapes in order to prevent cable breaks.
- Preferably use an acid free grease in between the waterproof screw type connectors and tighten them firmly each other.
