Product Overview

This document provides assembly instructions for the Welch Allyn® Spot Vital Signs 4400 monitor. It covers the assembly of the main unit and specific configurations for the 4400-DST (stand) and 4400-MBS (mobile stand base).

Main Unit Assembly

Step 1: Install Battery ?

Open the battery compartment and insert the battery.

Step 2: Close Battery Compartment ✔️

Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Step 3: Connect Power Adapter ?

Connect the power adapter cable to the main unit.

Configuration A: 4400-DST Stand Assembly

Step A1: Assemble Stand Base

Assemble the DST stand base. Attach the power adapter bracket to the stand using screws (10 mm spacing indicated).

Step A2: Connect Cables

Connect the power cable (1) and sensor cable (2) to the main unit. Connect the temperature probe cable (3) and other sensor cables (4).

Step A3: Insert Temperature Probe ?️

Insert the temperature probe into the designated port on the main unit.

Step A4: Mount Main Unit to Stand

Secure the main unit to the assembled DST stand using four screws (1 x 4).

Step A5: Final Connections and Charging

Connect the power adapter to a power source ⚡. The unit requires approximately 2 hours (2h) for initial charging.

Configuration B: 4400-MBS Mobile Stand Base Assembly

Step B1a: Assemble MBS Basket (Option 1)

Attach the basket to the power adapter bracket using two screws (3 x 2).

Step B1b: Assemble MBS Basket (Option 2)

Attach the basket to the power adapter bracket using two screws (4 x 2).

Step B2: Connect Cables

Connect the power cable (1) and sensor cable (2) to the main unit. Connect the temperature probe cable (3) and other sensor cables (4).

Step B3: Mount Main Unit to MBS Bracket

Attach the main unit to the assembled MBS bracket using four screws (1 x 4).

Step B4: Insert Temperature Probe ?️

Insert the temperature probe into the designated port on the main unit.

Step B5: Final Connections and Charging

Connect the power adapter to a power source ⚡. The unit requires approximately 2 hours (2h) for initial charging.
