Product Overview
The Koss TWS150i earbuds feature the following components:
- Charging case with battery life status lights
- USB charging port
- Earbud status light
- Touch strip
- Voice mic
- Acoustical vent hole
- L/R indicator
- Magnetic charging contacts
Power On
There are two methods to power on your earbuds:
Method 1: Automatic Power On
Open the charging case. The white lights will illuminate for 1 second, and the earbuds will automatically power on.
Method 2: Manual Power On
With the earbuds in an off state, touch and hold the touch strip on both earbuds for approximately 3 seconds. The lights will illuminate for 1 second, indicating they are powered on.
Note: Ensure any protective film is removed from the earbuds before powering on and pairing.
Pairing with Devices
To pair your Koss TWS150i earbuds with a mobile phone or other Bluetooth device:
- Power on the left and right earbuds using one of the methods described above.
- On your mobile device, navigate to Bluetooth settings and find "KOSS TWS150i" in the list of available devices. Select it to pair.
Notes:
- When powered on, the earbuds will automatically attempt to connect to the last connected device within 10 seconds. If the connection fails, they will enter pairing mode.
- If the earbuds are not connected to any device for 10 minutes, they will automatically turn off to conserve battery.
Controls: Music and Calls
The touch strips on the earbuds allow for convenient control:
Call Management
- Answer Call: Double-tap the touch strip on either earbud.
- End Call: Double-tap the touch strip on either earbud.
- Reject Call: Long-press the touch strip on either earbud for 2 seconds.
Music Playback
- Pause/Play Music: Double-tap the touch strip on either earbud. The indicator lights will illuminate once every 5 seconds while paused or playing.
- Next Track: Long-press the touch strip on the right earbud for 2 seconds. (Note: This function is not supported when only the left earbud is used.)
- Previous Track: Long-press the touch strip on the left earbud for 2 seconds.
Power Off
To power off the earbuds, simply place them into the charging case and close the lid. They will automatically power down.
Charging
Earbuds Charging
Place the earbuds into the charging case. The charging indicators on the case will flash while charging. When the earbuds are fully charged, no charging case lights will be illuminated.
LED Status When Charging Earbuds
- The 'L' side charging case light slowly flashes when the 'L' earbud is charging.
- The 'R' side charging case light slowly flashes when the 'R' earbud is charging.
- When both earbuds are charging simultaneously, both 'L' and 'R' charging case lights will slowly flash.
- Once the earbuds' batteries are full, the charging case lights will display the battery power level for 5 seconds.
Charging Case Light Status
The lights on the charging case indicate its battery level and charging status:
LED Status When the Charging Case is Charging
- Below 30% power: The left light flashes.
- 30% to 60% power: The left light is always on, and the center light flashes.
- Greater than 60% power: The left and center lights are always on, and the right light flashes.
- 100% power: All 3 lights remain on.
LED Status When Charging Case is Not Charging (Earbuds inside)
- Below 10% power: The left light flashes.
- 10% to 30% power: The left light is on.
- 30% to 60% power: The left and center lights are on.
- 70% to 100% power: All 3 lights remain on.
Connection Issues
Bluetooth Off on Source Device
Problem: If Bluetooth is turned off on your source device, the earbuds will automatically turn off after 10 minutes. If earbuds become disconnected, the L/R earbuds' red and white lights will flash alternately.
Solution: Ensure your source device's Bluetooth is turned on, then power on the earbuds again.
Out of Connection Range
Problem: If the connection between your device and the earbuds exceeds the effective range, the earbuds will power off automatically after 10 minutes.
Solution: Ensure your device is within range, then power on the earbuds.
Factory Reset
Follow these steps to perform a factory reset on your Koss TWS150i earbuds:
- Open the lid of the charging case and allow both earphones to power on.
- While the earphones are in the charging case, tap the touch surface of either the left or right earphone 3 times quickly (within 1 second) to power them off.
- Remove both earphones from the charging case and close the lid.
- Press and hold the touch surface of either the left or right earphone until the LED flashes red 3 times (approximately 10 seconds).
- Repeat step 4 with the opposite earphone.
- Open the lid of the charging case and return both earphones. Close the lid.
- The factory reset is now complete.
Safety and Care
- Using earbuds at high volumes for extended periods may result in permanent hearing damage. It is advised to keep volume levels moderate to low at all times for your safety.
- Do not use while driving a car, cycling, operating machinery, or performing other activities that require you to hear surrounding sounds.
- Earbuds may not function properly under high temperature or high humidity conditions.
- Do not use any corrosive cleaner or oil to clean the earbuds.
- If the earbuds come into contact with liquids, wipe them away quickly. If submerged in water, do not turn the earbuds on until they are completely dried. Liquid submersion voids the warranty.
- Keep the earbuds and packaging out of reach of children.
Battery Warning
- Do not disassemble, strike, crush, or put the battery into fire. Do not expose the battery to conductive materials, liquids, fire, or high temperatures.
- Do not allow metal objects to touch the two poles of the battery. Do not continue to use the battery if it exhibits bulges, leaks, discoloration, odors, or any other abnormality.
- Do not use the battery after it has been submerged in water.
- Improper use of the battery may result in explosion or leakage, causing burns and other personal injuries. If the battery leaks, it should be carefully disposed of according to local laws and regulations concerning battery disposal.
FCC Warning

These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.
