Jaeger-LeCoultre Watch Operating Instructions and Guarantees

Introduction
Thank you for choosing Jaeger-LeCoultre. Our Maison has applied its expertise and exacting standards to create this model. We invite you to consult the operating instructions and hope your Jaeger-LeCoultre timepiece brings you great joy.
Accuracy and precautions for use
MANUALLY-WOUND OR AUTOMATIC MECHANICAL WATCHES
The accuracy of mechanical watch movements is determined by the balance wheel, which oscillates at 28,800 vibrations per hour. Despite meticulous craftsmanship, accuracy can be influenced by gravity, magnetic fields, accidental impacts, and oil aging. Accuracy is measured by the regularity of rate in various positions.
Individual activities can cause slight irregularities. If you notice a discrepancy, entrust your watch to an authorized Jaeger-LeCoultre retailer for adjustments. Mechanical watches should not be used for sports with a high risk of impact or abrupt actions, such as golf or tennis.
Water resistance
Your Jaeger-LeCoultre watch is water resistant up to 3 bar, indicated by the symbol ? and/or the engraving "3 bar" on the case-back. This means the model has been tested at an overpressure of 3 bar, equivalent to an immersion pressure of 30 meters (1 bar = ±10 meters).
In accordance with the ISO 22810/NIHS 92-20 standard, to ensure long-term durability, it is recommended to:
- Have the watch's water resistance checked by an authorized Jaeger-LeCoultre retailer at least every two years, and each time the watch is opened or before prolonged/regular immersion.
- Verify bracelet suitability for intended use at purchase.
- Avoid subjecting the watch to abrupt temperature changes.
- Protect the watch from drops and impacts, and have water resistance checked after severe impacts.
- Avoid using controls or the crown while underwater or before the watch is dry after immersion.
- Restore the crown and push-pieces to their normal positions, or close compression keys, after each manipulation.
- Rinse the watch with fresh water after use in sea water.
You may use your watch while swimming, provided you do not exceed the immersion pressure and avoid water sports that could cause impacts. This watch is not diving equipment. Leather straps are not suitable for aquatic activities.
"1000 Hours Control" test
Jaeger-LeCoultre places great importance on quality and final checks. The "1000 Hours Control" is a series of internal qualification and production tests that go beyond official timing tests. These include movement checks before and after casing, and full watch testing under conditions simulating daily wear.
The "1000 Hours Control" legend or seal on the case-back certifies that the watch has successfully passed all qualification and production tests, ensuring rate regularity, resistance to temperature and atmospheric pressure variations, shock and magnetic field resistance, and water resistance.
