Welcome to the XGIMI Aura User Guide. This document provides comprehensive instructions for setting up and using your XGIMI Aura projector.
Introduction
Thank you for purchasing and using the products of Chengdu XGIMI Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as "XGIMI Technology" or "XGIMI"). Please read the Product Instructions carefully before using this product for both your safety and interests.

Overview
Front & Top View
The front and top view of the XGIMI Aura projector highlights the laser light source unit and the LED indicator. The LED indicator provides status information:

The right side of the projector features a Power button and a USB 2.0 port.

The rear panel of the XGIMI Aura is equipped with various ports:

Note: Use HDMI 2.0 cables when using HDMI 2.0 interfaces.
Remote Control
The remote control provides access to all projector functions. Key buttons include:

Getting Started
1. Placement
Place the projector on a stable, flat surface. Ensure the lens is aligned with the projection plane (display wall/surface) and the rear of the projector is parallel to the projection plane.
To achieve optimal projection, ensure the projection plane is white and flat, or use a projector screen. The wall for projection should be larger than the size of your desired image.

Projection Distance and Screen Sizes
The screen sizes for each projection distance may differ depending on the installation environment. The following table provides measurements in centimeters and inches:

2. Using the Remote Control
Inserting Batteries:
- Press the battery compartment release button on the back of the remote control to remove the compartment.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the '+' and '–' symbols match the symbols inside the compartment.
- Press the battery compartment back onto the remote control.
Repeat these steps to replace batteries later.

3. Powering on the Device
- Connect the power cord to the XGIMI AURA.
- Connect the power cord to a power socket.
- Press the power button on the device to turn it on.

4. Pairing the Remote Control
Ensure the remote control is within 10 cm (approx. 4 inches) of the device. Press the Back (←) and Home (?) buttons simultaneously until the indicator light flashes. A "Ding" sound confirms a successful connection.
If pairing fails, the remote control will exit pairing mode after 30 seconds. Repeat the steps to re-pair.

Using XGIMI AURA Features
5. Adjusting the Focus
Press the ⛭ Focus button to enable manual focus adjustment. Use the left/right navigation buttons or the Volume +/- buttons to adjust the focus. Press any other button to exit focus adjustment.

6. Setting Up Android TV
After the remote control is paired, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the Android TV setup.
- Quick Setup (Android): Android users can follow on-screen instructions to set up Android TV with their smartphones.
- Set up XGIMI AURA (iOS): For iOS users:
- Skip the quick setup process.
- Connect XGIMI AURA to your network.
- Log in with your Google account.
Your XGIMI AURA will be powered by Android TV after the setup process is complete.

7. Adjusting the Projection Picture
Adjust the picture angle by moving the projector left or right or by altering the tilt angle adjustment foot at the bottom to make the screen rectangular.
If the projection picture is not square enough, use the remote control to navigate to [Settings] > [Projector Settings] > [Keystone Correction] > [Manual Keystone Correction]. Then, choose the adjustment points to alter the projection picture.

Correction Methods:
- Four-point correction: Manually correct the projection picture by adjusting the 4 points. Press OK to switch adjustment points.
- Eight-point correction: A more refined method for fine-tuning the projection picture. Adjust points 1, 3, 5, 7 for corners and points 2, 4, 6, 8 for edges.

Using XGIMI AURA Features
1. Android TV Features
Once connected to a wireless network, you can access Android TV online services, enjoy movies, music, and pictures. Install additional apps from the Google Play Store and use Google Assistant for voice commands.
Press the Google Assistant button on your remote to search for content, get recommendations, control smart home devices, and more.
You can project photos, videos, and music from your smartphone or PC directly to your projector using Chromecast built-in™.
- Play a video clip with a smartphone or PC app that supports Chromecast built-in™, then select the cast icon ⏻ on the screen.
- Select the target device, "XGIMI AURA", to begin projecting your content.
Note: Ensure the projector and your smartphone or PC are connected to the same network.

2. Bluetooth
Connect a Bluetooth speaker:
- Open [System Settings] > [Remotes & Accessories] > [Add New Device].
- Search for and pair with a Bluetooth speaker.
To switch back to the projector speaker, press the ? Home button, then select [Sound Output] > [Internal Speaker].
Play music via Bluetooth: Use smartphone Bluetooth settings to search for "XGIMI AURA" to pair and play songs.

3. XGIMI Apps
XMusic Player
XMusic Player is a built-in music player for XGIMI AURA that can play local music or music via Bluetooth. You can select different playback wallpapers for an immersive experience.
To turn off the projection frame during music playback, press the ⏻ Power button and select "Display Off".
Bluetooth music: When your smartphone Bluetooth is connected to XGIMI AURA, the XMusic Player app opens automatically. You can also select ☰ on the homepage to go to the app list and open the app.
Local music: Access internal or external storage devices using the built-in File Manager app. Open a music file to play it.
Note: Some wallpapers may contain flashing lights and spectrums that may trigger epileptic seizures. If you experience dizziness, convulsions, or vision changes, switch the wallpaper to "Classic CD" and seek medical attention.
File Manager
Use the File Manager app to view files on device storage or external storage.
- On the home page, click ⊞ Apps to open the app list. Select File Manager, then select the storage device.
- Press and hold the "Settings" button to manage files. Press the "Menu" button for more actions.
Note: Due to Android TV security requirements, you can only read files from external storage devices; copying and pasting is not supported.
Settings
Press the ? Home button on the remote control to quickly adjust settings. For more detailed configuration, go to the [All Settings] page.
Main Settings Include:
Brightness and Color
Select a brightness mode: Standard, Bright, Eye-protection, or Performance. Adjust the brightness level. For custom adjustments, select "Custom mode" to configure RGB values and brightness levels.
- Standard: Used when watching films.
- Bright: Brighter than Standard mode.
- Eye-protection: Reduced blue light, preventing eye fatigue.
- Performance: Recommended for high brightness demands.
- Custom: Customize RGB value and 10-class brightness level.
Image Mode
Select different image modes for various scenarios to optimize viewing experience:
- Movie: Ideal for films or TV series with cinematic picture quality.
- Football: Ideal for watching football games.
- Office: Ideal for office use.
- Game: Ideal for playing video games due to low latency rates.
- Custom: Customize parameters like contrast, saturation, sharpness, noise reduction, and motion compensation.
Sound Effect
XGIMI AURA offers professional sound quality with DTS Studio Sound and Harman Kardon. Select different sound effects for scenarios like movie, music, and sport.
5. System Upgrade
Check for the latest version and upgrade the system by navigating to [Settings] > [Device Preferences] > [About] > [System Update].
Important Precautions
Correct use of the device:
- Do not face the lens into eyes, as the strong projector light may cause injury.
- Do not block the air inlet/outlet to prevent damage from heat dissipation failure.
- Do not wipe the lens directly with cleaning tools; use clean air blowing to remove dust.
- Do not wash the device with chemicals or liquids to prevent circuit board corrosion.
- Keep the device and accessories out of reach of children.
- Use the device in a dry and ventilated environment.
- Do not store in overheated or overcooled places (0°C-40°C recommended).
- Do not place the device in heating equipment (e.g., dryer, microwave oven).
- Do not extrude the device or place barriers on it or its back.
- Do not throw, strike, or vibrate the device sharply.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or assemble the device yourself. Contact XGIMI after-sales service for issues.
- Do not repair the product yourself. Consult XGIMI after-sales service or return for repair if the device or component is not working properly.
Regulatory Information
FCC Warning
This device complies with Part 15 of FCC Rules. Operation is subject to two conditions: (1) the device will not cause harmful interference, and (2) the device must accept any interference received. Modifications without explicit approval may prevent operation. The device has been tested to meet Class B digital device restrictions for residential installations.
If interference occurs, try these measures:
- Reposition the receiving antenna.
- Increase the distance between the device and the receiver.
- Connect the device to a different circuit.
- Consult distributors or technicians.
This device operates in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.
The manufacturer ensures frequency stability within the operating band.

CE Maintenance
- Use earphones carefully to avoid excessive sound pressure and potential hearing loss.
- The product shall only be connected to a USB 2.0 interface.
- Operating temperature range: 0°C-40°C.
- Power supply: AC 110 V-240 V, 50-60 Hz, 350W.
- Do not listen at high volume levels for long periods to prevent hearing damage.
- The device complies with RF specifications when used at least 20 cm from the body.
Declaration of Conformity
Chengdu XGIMI Technology Co., Ltd. declares this product complies with essential requirements and provisions of Directive 2014/53/EU. Operations in the 5.15-5.25 GHz band are restricted to indoor usage only.
The appliance coupler is used as a disconnect device and shall remain readily operable.
IC Warning
This device complies with Industry Canada licence-exempt RSS standard(s). Operation is subject to two conditions: (1) This device may not cause interference, and (2) This device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
Radiation Exposure Statement
For remote control, this device complies with FCC and IC radiation exposure limits for an uncontrolled environment. The transmitter shall not be co-located with any other antenna or transmitter.
For the laser projector, the device meets FCC and IC radiation exposure limits for uncontrolled environments. Maintain a distance of at least 20 cm between the device and the body during installation and operation. The 5150-5250 MHz frequency range is for indoor use only.
Disposal Instructions for Used Products
The product is designed and manufactured with high-quality, recyclable materials and components.
The symbol ♻️ on the product indicates it is protected under Directive 2012/19/EU.
WARNING
- Do not open to avoid the risk of electric shock.
- For internal checks, contact authorized customer service.
- Potentially hazardous optical radiation is emitted. Do not stare at the operating beam, as it may be harmful to the eyes.
As with any bright source, do not stare into the direct beam (RG2 IEC 62471-5:2015). Complies with 21 CFR 1040.10 and 1040.11 except for conformance with IEC 60825-1 Ed. 3.
Note: Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer. Beware that this product may emit harmful light radiation.
