Step 1: Before Installation

If your flares already have the edge trim and pocket hardware installed, skip to Front Flare Installation Step 4.
STEP 2: EDGE TRIM INSTALLATION
- Peel two to three inches of red vinyl backing away from the Edge Trim (GP1-0025) tape. Apply the adhesive side of the edge trim to the inner side of the flare, affixing it to the top edge of the flare (the portion that contacts the vehicle).
- Press the edge trim into place along the top edge of the flare in one-foot increments, pulling the red vinyl backing free as you work your way around the top edge.
- FRONT FLARES ONLY: The edge trim must be cut to prevent bunching and stretching at the forward end of the part where the flare follows the headlight. Refer to the diagrams showing cuts for outward and inward curves.
Pocket Hardware Installation
- Place a Washer (WA1-0012) onto each Bolt (SW1-0067).
- Insert each Bolt/Washer combination through a pocket hole in the flare, with the bolt head and washer on the outside.
- Place a Nut (NU1-0019) over the end of each bolt and tighten. Use a 1/2" wrench for the nut and the supplied Torx Bit (SW1-0052) for the bolt. Repeat for the remaining pockets.
Front Flare Installation Procedures (Passenger's Side)
- Locate the factory-installed mud flap on the passenger side front wheel well.
- Remove (2) factory-installed screws and (1) factory-installed fastener, then remove the mud flap from the vehicle.
- Remove and keep (8) factory-installed screws. These screws will be reused to install the front flare.
- Hold the flare to the vehicle and begin reinstalling the remaining (9) factory screws using an 8 mm socket. Do not tighten fully yet.
- Press firmly on the flare and then tighten all screws.
Rear Flare Installation Procedures (Passenger's Side)
- Locate the (2) factory-installed mud flaps on the passenger side rear wheel well.
- Remove and keep (1) factory-installed screw, then remove the mud flap. This screw will be used to install the rear fender flare.
- Remove (4) factory-installed screws using an 8 mm socket wrench. Keep these screws for the rear flare installation. 'X' marks indicate existing factory holes that are empty.
- Remove and keep (2) factory-installed screws from the mud flap, then remove the mud flap. These screws will be used to install the rear fender flare.
Note: Trucks equipped with fender liners should proceed to Step 19. Trucks with fender liners will have (3) factory screws at the top of the fender. Trucks without this type of fender liner should continue to Step 14.
- Install a supplied Tab (MT1-0014) over an existing factory hole.
- Install a supplied Clip (CL1-0022) over the Tab (MT1-0014).
- Hold the flare in place and start a Screw (SW1-0056) using a Phillips screwdriver in (3) locations as shown. Do not tighten fully. Continue to Step 21.
- Hold the flare in place and reinstall the (3) factory screws removed in Step 19. Do not tighten fully.
- Using an awl or similar pointed tool, create a hole through the Tab (MT1-0014) using the Clip (CL1-0022) hole as a guide. Repeat Steps 15-17 for the remaining (2) empty hole locations.
- Remove and keep (7) factory-installed screws.
- Continue holding the flare in place while you begin reinstalling the (7) factory screws using an 8 mm socket wrench. Do not tighten fully.
- Press firmly on the flare and then tighten all screws.
Edge Trim Tool Procedures
- Using the supplied Edge Trim Tool (ET1-0002), seat the edge trim against the vehicle by hooking the curved end under the edge trim at one end of the flare. Slide the tool around the outer edge of the flare to the other end.
- Using the flat end of the supplied Edge Trim Tool (ET1-0002), seat the edge trim against the flare by inserting the straight end between the edge trim and the flare at one end. Slide the tool around the entire edge to the other end.
