Wearing
- Wear the watch strap comfortably, not too tight or too loose, allowing enough space for skin to breathe. This ensures comfort and proper sensor function.
- When measuring blood oxygen, wear the watch correctly. Avoid wearing it on the wrist joint, keep your arm flat, maintain a comfortable and appropriately tight fit between the watch and wrist skin, and keep your arm still throughout the measurement. External factors (e.g., arm sag, arm sway, arm hair, tattoos) can affect accuracy or cause measurement failure.
- Tighten the watch strap during workouts and loosen it afterwards for comfort.

Physical Indicators for Workouts
Device provides physical indicators for workouts, viewable in workout records or Workout status app: current training load, total recovery time, VO2 Max, and training effect. Detailed explanations are in the Workout Status app.
TE (Training Effect)
Measures workout effect on aerobic capacity. TE value (0.0-5.0) increases with workout progress. Higher TE indicates greater intensity and body load, but better TE. Consider body load when TE reaches 5.0.
Aerobic TE Value | Effect on Improving Aerobic Capacity |
---|---|
0.0-0.9 | No effect on improving aerobic capacity. |
1.0-1.9 | Helps improve endurance; ideal for post-workout recovery training. |
2.0-2.9 | Helps maintain aerobic capacity. |
3.0-3.9 | Significantly helps improve aerobic capacity. |
4.0-4.9 | Remarkably improves heart-lung ability and aerobic capacity. |
5 | Post-workout recovery required for non-athlete users. |
Anaerobic TE Value | Effect on Improving Anaerobic Capacity |
---|---|
0.0-0.9 | No effect on improving anaerobic capacity. |
1.0-1.9 | Slight effect on improving anaerobic capacity. |
2.0-2.9 | Helps maintain anaerobic capacity. |
3.0-3.9 | Significantly helps improve anaerobic capacity. |
4.0-4.9 | Significant effect on improving anaerobic capacity. |
5 | Post-workout recovery required for non-athlete users. |
TE value is evaluated based on profile, heart rate, and speed. Low TE doesn't mean a problem, but workout was too easy to significantly improve aerobic capacity.
How to Obtain TE Data:
After a heart rate-monitored workout ends, watch displays TE value and suggestions. Review past TE values in workout records.
Workout Status
Includes training load, full recovery time, and VO2 Max. Metrics calculated based on personal info and workout data. Accuracy improves with device use and data accumulation.
Maximum Oxygen Uptake (VO2 Max)
Indicates oxygen consumed during maximum-intensity workouts; key for aerobic capacity and endurance athletes. A prerequisite for high-level aerobic capacity. VO2 Max is personal, with different standards by gender and age. Device evaluates athletic capacity based on profile, heart rate, and speed. VO2 Max changes with athletic capacity. Everyone has a VO2 Max value, varying by individual body conditions.
VO2 Max values map to seven athletic ability levels: Novice, Elementary, Ordinary, Medium, Good, Excellent, and Superior.
How to Obtain VO2 Max Data:
- Correctly enter your profile in the app.
- Run outdoors for at least 10 minutes while wearing the device, ensuring heart rate reaches 75% of maximum.
How to View VO2 Max Data:
View current VO2 Max in watch's workout status app. View history and trends in the Zepp app.
Training Load
Calculated based on Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption (EPOC). Higher value indicates longer workout time and greater intensity. Total training load over past 7 days represents body burden from recent workouts. Three ranges: low, moderate, high.
Low training load won't improve athletic ability much. High/too high load can cause fatigue/injury. Recommended to keep training load within moderate range for continuous improvement.
Moderate range depends on recent and long-term workout data, improving accuracy with use.
How to Obtain Training Load Data:
After workout mode enabled, obtain current workout's training load once minimum level reached. View past 7 days' training load in device's workout status app. View trends in Zepp app.
Total Recovery Time
Recommended time for complete body recovery. After each workout, recovery suggestions based on latest workout heart rate help better recover and arrange workouts to avoid injury.
Full Recovery Period | Workout Suggestions |
---|---|
0-18 hours | Fully or nearly fully recovered; can do slightly higher-intensity training. |
19-35 hours | Train as usual; prepare to strengthen regimen. |
36-53 hours | Reduce intensity; gain workout benefits from last training; do recovery workouts to relieve fatigue. |
54-96 hours | Proper rest allows benefits from last high-intensity training. |
