Note: The finish will patina when exposed to water and air; this is a natural characteristic of a copper finish and is not cause for return.
Assembly
Secure Pole (B) into Step-In Stake (A). Then, secure Bird Bath Basin (C) to Pole (B).
Installation
Metal bird baths can become very hot in direct sunlight; a shaded location is recommended. Additionally, warmer water is less appealing to birds and it is more likely to form algae and bacteria.
- Choose a location with soil that is firm enough to support the unit while in use. Do not install into loose soil; loose soil may result in the unit tipping over.
- Take care not to push on the basin during installation, as doing so may bend or break the unit.
- Ensuring the unit remains straight, hold the poles and push the step-in stake into the ground while simultaneously stepping on it until it is flush with the ground. If you encounter resistance during installation, do not force the prongs into the ground; check for obstructions such as stones or tree roots.
Use & Care
- Choose a flat, level location to install the unit.
- Avoid high-traffic areas such as locations where children and pets play.
- Water may accumulate around the connection points of the threaded components and cause them to rust. Periodically check connection points and clean them to prevent damage.
Cleaning
Mix 9 parts water to 1 part white distilled vinegar. Gently scrub the unit with a soft cloth or a soft-bristled brush. Thoroughly rinse with clean water and dry with a clean cloth.
Important Information
- Do not install into loose soil as the unit may lean or tip over.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials to clean the unit as they may damage the product and void the product warranty.
- Store indoors during freezing temperatures; exposure to freezing temperatures may damage the product and could potentially harm wildlife.
- Manufacturer is not liable for damages or defects caused by general use or exposure to weather elements.
Any modification to the product or failure to follow recommended care will void the product warranty.
