Whether you purchased a K&H kitty product fully equipped with its very own cat grass grow station or an individual refill kit, here are some tips to follow for growing healthy Oat grass. Your cats will love always having a fresh cup of cat grass to enjoy! WHAT'S INCLUDED: Each Grow Kit Comes with: 2 empty growing cups, 2 packets of seeds, and enough soil pellets for 2 cups. How To Decompress Soil Pellets 1 Evenly divide compressed soil pellets between the 2 provided cups. 2 Cover soil pellets with water and set aside to expand. Soil pellets will decompress in about one hour. Add additional water as needed and fluff soil with a fork or other utensil until pellet soil is completely decompressed and the cup is full. How to Successfully Plant Seeds (Either method of planting seeds is successful) 1 Remove 1/3 of soil in cup, sprinkle seeds evenly in cup, then replace the 1/3 soil. (Recommended) Or push seeds evenly ½" under the surface of the soil in the cup. 2 Place cup in a sunny inside area away from your pet until grass is 5" or taller. Germination takes 1 to 2 weeks. How to Successfully Grow and Maintain Cat Grass 1 Water Cat Grass daily to keep moist. Do NOT over-saturate soil with water. See PRO-TIP below. 2 Once your cup is ready for introduction, place one cup of Cat Grass into the cup holder in your K&H Product. PRO TIPS & OTHER INFORMATION · IMPORTANT! To avoid mold from potentially growing, do NOT overwater or saturate your cat grass soil. Keep soil moist, but NOT damp or soggy. Check soil with your finger before watering. · You may start growing your second cup of K&H Cat Grass one week after your first cup germinates. · Depending on their nutritional needs, your pet may or may not eat Cat Grass daily. · Our seeds are made from Oat and considered to be a good source of protein and soluble fiber.
