Installation

Lifting and Moving the Monitor

Follow these guidelines to prevent the monitor from being scratched or damaged during transportation:

Installing on a Table

Adjusting the Angle

  1. Place the monitor on its stand base in an upright position.
  2. Adjust the angle of the screen. The screen angle can be adjusted forward or backward from -5° to 15° for a comfortable viewing experience (for models 27SR73U/32SR73U/32SR76U/32U721SA/27U731SA/32U731SA). For model 37U730SA, the angle can be adjusted from -5° to 20°.

Caution: To avoid finger injury, do not hold the lower part of the monitor's frame when adjusting the screen. Be careful not to touch or press the screen area while adjusting the angle. (Diagrams show correct and incorrect ways to adjust the screen angle for different models.)

Swivel Stand (37U730SA)

Using the Kensington Lock

For installation and usage information, refer to the Kensington lock owner's manual or visit www.kensington.com. Connect the monitor to a table using the Kensington security system cable. (Diagram shows connection of the Kensington lock cable.)

Note: The Kensington security system is optional and can be obtained from most electronics stores.

Installing on the Wall

Installing the Wall Mount Plate

To install the monitor to a wall, attach an optional wall mounting bracket to the back of the monitor. Ensure the bracket is securely fixed to both the monitor and the wall.

Wall Mount (mm) Standard screw Number of screws
100 x 100 M4 x L10 4

(Diagram shows an optional wall mount plate, LSW149.)

Note: Use VESA standard specified screws. The wall mount kit includes an installation guide and necessary parts. The wall mounting bracket is optional. Screw length may vary; using screws longer than standard may damage the product. Refer to the wall mounting bracket's user manual for more information. Be careful not to apply excessive force when mounting the plate to avoid screen damage. Remove the stand before wall mounting by reversing the stand attachment process. Unplug the power cord before installation to avoid electric shock. Installing on a ceiling or slanted wall may cause the monitor to fall, leading to injury; use an authorized LG wall mount and contact a qualified dealer or personnel. Ensure secure attachment to the wall per installation instructions. Excessive force when tightening screws can damage the monitor and is not covered by warranty. Use VESA-standard compliant brackets and screws; damage from misuse of inappropriate components is not covered by warranty. When measured from the back of the monitor, the installed screw length must be 8 mm or less. (Diagram illustrates screw length measurement: A: Wall Mount Plate, B: Back of Monitor, C: Standard screw, D: Max. 8 mm.)

Connections

Connect various external devices to your monitor by changing the input mode. Refer to the user manual of each device for more information.

Connecting to a Port

Some cables are not provided. This monitor supports the Plug and Play feature, which allows a PC to recognize attached devices without user configuration upon power-up.

HDMI Connection

Note: If the connected device supports HDMI Deep Color, the picture may be clearer. If not, change the monitor's [HDMI Deep Color] setting to off via [ ] > [General] > [External Devices] > [HDMI Settings] > [HDMI Deep Color].

USB-C (UPSTREAM) Connection

Transmits digital video and audio signals from your PC to the monitor. USB-C does not support fast charging, nor gender converters for it. PD (Power Delivery) and DP Alternate Mode (DP over USB-C) are supported via the USB-C UPSTREAM port. Features may vary based on connected device specifications and environment. The USB-C port is for PC power, not monitor power; connect an adapter for monitor power.

USB (USB-IN) Device Connection

The USB-IN Port can be used for PC or Monitor connection depending on the condition.

Note: Install all Windows Updates before connecting the product. Peripheral devices are sold separately. Keyboards, mice, or USB devices can be connected to the USB port. The USB-IN port (downstream) supports USB 2.0 devices.

Cautions when using a USB device: Devices with automatic recognition programs or custom drivers may not be recognized. Some USB devices may not be supported or may not function properly. It is recommended to use a USB hub or hard disk drive with its own power supply. Some USB Hubs may not work; if a USB device connected via a hub is not detected, connect it directly to the monitor's USB port. Connecting a USB-C docking station or USB-C hub to a smart monitor may not work.
