Step 1: Attaching the Stand
This section details the process of assembling and attaching the television's stand.
1.1 Prepare Stand Components
Gather the necessary stand parts: the stand base (labeled SB), screws (M4L10 and M4L16), and ensure you have the correct size indicators (75, 65, 55) for your model. The diagrams show these components and their relative sizes.
Important: Screw tightening torque should be 1.2 N-m (approximately 12 kgf.cm).
1.2 Attach Stand Base to TV
Carefully place the television face down on a clean, soft surface to prevent scratches. Align the stand base (SB) with the mounting points on the bottom of the TV. Secure it using the specified screws (e.g., M4L10 or M4L16, depending on the model). The diagrams show [check] and [cross] symbols indicating correct and incorrect placements.
1.3 Secure the Stand Assembly
Use the provided screws (M4L10 and M4L16) and a suitable [tool] to firmly attach the stand components. The diagrams show tightening screws with a [tool], indicating a specific direction for assembly and using [screw-M4L10] and [screw-M4L16].
1.4 Final Stand Attachment
Ensure all parts of the stand are correctly positioned and all screws are tightened to secure the television. The diagrams illustrate the correct alignment and attachment points, using [check] symbols for correct steps.
Step 2: Connecting Cables and Power
This section covers connecting external devices and the power supply.
2.1 Connect Input Cables
Connect your external devices to the appropriate ports on the back of the TV. These typically include:
- HDMI IN ports for video and audio sources.
- DIGITAL OPTICAL (e.g., for audio systems).
- USB ports for media playback or accessories.
- LAN port for network connectivity.
2.2 Connect Power Cord
Connect the AC power cord to the AC IN port on the television and plug it into a wall outlet.
Step 3: Wall Mounting (Optional)
This step is for users who prefer to mount the TV on a wall.
3.1 Prepare for Wall Mounting
If using a wall mount, attach the compatible mounting bracket to the back of the TV. Use M6 screws with a length between 8 mm and 12 mm. The diagrams show [screw-M6] and specify the length range.
Observe the following maximum dimension constraints for screw insertion or bracket placement:
- Maximum depth: < 21 mm
- Maximum depth: < 12 mm
- Maximum depth: < 7 mm
- Maximum depth: < 1.5 mm / 1.5 mm
- Maximum depth: < 14 mm
- Maximum depth: < 7 mm
- Maximum depth: < 1.5 mm / 1.5 mm
Step 4: Initial Setup and Operation
Final steps before using the TV.
4.1 Using the Remote Control
Familiarize yourself with the remote control for navigating menus and operating the TV. The diagram shows the remote control and a [question-mark] icon, possibly indicating where to find help.
4.2 Powering On
Turn on the television. The Sony logo will appear on the screen, indicating the TV is starting up. The diagram shows the TV screen with the Sony logo.
