Limited Lifetime Warranty

At Winchester® Safes, they stand by their products with a warranty as robust as their legacy. Your safe is protected against fire-related damage, burglary, defects in materials, and workmanship. Safes must be registered to activate the warranty.

Fire & Burglary Lifetime Guarantee

If your safe is ruined by fire or burglary, Winchester will replace it free of charge (conditions apply). Claims must be filed within six months of the loss.

Fire Protection

Winchester® Safes set the standard in the industry for fire-rated gun safes, offering protection ranging from 45 minutes to 2.5 hours. In addition to advanced security features, Winchester safes are designed with materials and construction methods that provide excellent fire protection.

Fireboard

All Winchester Safes use fireboard for fire resistance. The bodies and doors have varying layer amounts to increase fire and heat resistance.

Composite Doors

All Winchester Safes use a composite door design. The steel of the door is wrapped around the fireboard, creating complete fireboard coverage on the door of the safe. This also creates a thicker composite door by allowing more layers of fireboard, increasing the fire rating between safe series.

Palusol® Heat Expandable Door Seal

Palusol® expands 7 times its size when subjected to heat. This creates a gap barrier between the door and the door frame to minimize heat transfer into the safe.

External Door Hinges

In addition to allowing 180° door swing, external hinges also have a very important function. Unlike safes with internal hinges, an external hinge does not have to have a cut-out in the fireboard of the body of the safe. External hinges allow complete, uninterrupted coverage of the fireboard inside the walls of the safe.

Burglary Protection

The majority of Winchester® Safes have gone through and passed the rigorous testing for burglary protection by Underwriters Laboratories® (UL®). Winchester was the first safe manufacturer to be listed by UL® under the Residential Security Container 9L60 (RSC) category. The Bandit® and Ammo Series are not UL® Listed for Burglary (RSC). All Winchester® Safes are also California DOJ approved.

In addition to these features listed above, Winchester® Safes have many features that increase the security of their gun safes.

Locks

4-Way Locking Bolt System

Solid steel locking bolts on all four sides of the door with three sides active, creates complete pry coverage on all four sides of the door frame.

2-Way Locking Bolt System

Solid steel locking bolts on two sides of the door with one side active, hinge side and open side.

Drill Resistant Hard Plate

Heat treated .25" steel plate that fits over the lock inside the door and provides exceptional protection against drilling.

Auxiliary Relocker

Spring loaded pin that activates on an attack of the lock and makes bolt work completely inoperable.

Recessed Doors

All doors (except Home and Office) are slightly recessed and add increased resistance to pry attacks.

Reinforced Steel Return Door Jamb

A wrap around steel door jamb that adds increased security towards prying.
