Justification for Confidentiality

IKEA of Sweden AB has invested significant effort in developing this product, which is a pioneering item in the industry. Publicly available design details would provide a competitive advantage to others, leading to financial hardship for IKEA. Permanent confidentiality is requested for materials containing trade secrets and proprietary information not customarily released to the public.

Short-term confidentiality (180 days from Grant of Equipment Authorization) is requested to prevent premature release of sensitive information before marketing or public release of the product. IKEA is responsible for notifying TUV Rheinland if product information becomes public, at which point documents will be released.
