Viking M, L, XL Quick Reference Guide
Overview
This document provides a quick reference for operating the Viking M, L, and XL patient lifts. It is intended as a supplement to the full instruction guide.

Safety Instructions
- Read the instruction guides for the lift and lifting accessories before use.
- Plan the lifting operation carefully.
- Check to ensure that the sling's strap loops are correctly fastened to the sling bar hooks when the sling strap is extended, but before the patient is lifted from the underlying surface.
Maximum load:
- Viking M: 205 kg (450 lbs.)
- Viking L: 250 kg (550 lbs.)
- Viking XL: 300 kg (660 lbs.)
To retain maximum load capacity, it is essential to use accessories rated for the same maximum load or greater.

1 Hand Control
Controls for lift movement:
- Up [↑]
- Down [↓]
- Wider [↔️]
- Narrower [↕️]
A: Indicates low battery capacity [?]
2 Emergency Stop
Activate: Press the red button [?].
Reset: Turn the red button clockwise [?].

3 Electrical Emergency Lowering
Use a tool (not sharp) to press the button to lower the lift electrically.

Warning: The object used to press with must not be sharp, since this may cause damage to the control box!
4 Mechanical Emergency Lowering
Turn the nut clockwise [➡️] to manually lower the lift.

5 Locking the Wheels
Engage the wheel locks to secure the lift in place.

6 Safety Latches
Ensure safety latches are correctly engaged for both Viking M, L, and Viking XL models.

Charging the Batteries
Charge immediately! [⚡]

- Charge the lift regularly after use.
- The lift does not function during charging.
- The emergency stop should not be pressed in during charging.

Ergonomics
- Never lift manually - let the lift do the lifting.
- Take it easy. Work calmly and methodically.
- Don't strain your back! Work in a walking stance with your back straight.
- Use the bed's raising and lowering functions.
- Reduce the lever effect. Work close to the patient and the lift.
Cleaning
When necessary, clean the lift with a moist cloth, using common surface cleaners or disinfectants.
Simple Troubleshooting
Check to ensure that:
- The emergency stop is not pressed in.
- The battery is charged.
- The hand control is properly connected.
