Installation Instructions

1.1 Provided Components

  • Relay ON/OFF for heat pump (Receiver) - 1 unit
  • Wireless thermostat - 1 unit
  • Screws and anchors - 2 sets
  • Manual - 1 unit

1.2 Installation of the Heat Pump Relay (Receiver)

  1. Disconnect the system's main power supply. For your safety, before accessing the wiring, ensure the main power supply is turned OFF.
  2. Remove the wiring plate from the heat pump relay.
    • Using a screwdriver, press the groove to release and open the cover.
    • Tilt the cover upwards and remove it.
  3. Mount the wiring plate to the wall or into the flush-mounting box. (Screws and anchors are provided).
  4. Connect the heat pump relay wiring. Refer to the wiring diagram.

Wiring diagram shows connections to the system and power source. Wires connect to terminals N, L, A, B, C. Cable entry points are shown with diameter specifications (<7mm, >7mm). Power source connection is indicated with a fuse.

  5. Wiring for the YUTAKI unit.

    Shows specific wiring for ATW-RTU-04, indicating voltage (1~ 230V 50-60Hz) and terminal connections (N, L, A, B, C) with current ratings (A-B:5(3)A, A-C:5(3)A) and a <5A fuse.

  6. Fix the heat pump relay to the wiring plate. First, place the hinges, then lower the cover until it clicks into place.
  7. Reconnect the system's main power supply.

1.3 Installation of the Thermostat

  1. Place the thermostat:
    • Away from air drafts

To restore the ATW-RTU-04 data, press the BLIND button for 15 seconds.

2.2 Thermostat

2.2.1 Icon Descriptions

  • Set temperature: Displays the current set temperature.
  • Heating active: The heat pump is operating intermittently or continuously due to a heating demand.
  • Connection to heat pump relay: The thermostat is correctly connected to the heat pump relay.
  • Low battery: Batteries need to be changed immediately.
  • RF communication error: These icons flash to indicate that the signal from the heat pump relay is not received correctly. Check that the relay is powered and consult your installer if the problem persists.
  • Defective thermostat: The thermostat is defective and needs replacement.
  • No power to thermostat: If after initial installation the thermostat screen displays "OFF", check if the battery protector film was removed. If not, change the batteries.

2.2.2 Room Temperature Setting

Turn the selector dial clockwise to increase and counter-clockwise to decrease the temperature. Each "click" of the selector changes the temperature in 0.5°C intervals. After setting the desired temperature, the thermostat will attempt to maintain it as precisely as possible. The set temperature will flash for a few seconds before returning to the current room temperature.

2.2.3 Night Temperature Reduction

It is recommended to set the thermostat to a lower temperature during the night and periods of absence to save energy. A general reduction of 5°C is recommended, but this depends on the heating system and building insulation.

2.2.4 Installation Menu

This zone thermostat has an installation menu used to set maximum and minimum temperature limits. The thermostat allows setting a maximum temperature of 35°C and a minimum of 5°C.

2.2.5 Activation of Installation Menu

Turn the selector completely to the left until the minimum parameter is displayed. When the parameter flashes, press the right or left touch zones for 10 seconds. When the setting flashes, touch the left zone to display the minimum temperature limit. This can also be adjusted using the selector. The maximum temperature limit is displayed. The parameter can be adjusted using the selector ring. No confirmation is needed.

The thermostat cannot be used to stop and start the system unless the minimum temperature limit is set below 10°C (e.g., 5°C).

The installation menu closes automatically after 10 seconds of inactivity.

2.2.6 Reset to Default Settings

Turn the selector completely to the left until the minimum temperature is displayed. When the parameter flashes, press the right and left touch zones for 10 seconds. Now, the maximum temperature limit will flash; touch the left touch zone. When the minimum temperature limit flashes, touch the left touch zone again. The [bo] symbol will appear. Press the left touch zone for 10 seconds to reset parameters to default.

3 Linking the Wireless Thermostat and the Heat Pump Relay (Receiver)

Below the thermostat screen, there are two touch zones used to access menus and functions.

  1. First, put the heat pump relay (receiver) into linking mode: press the BIND button on the relay for 5 seconds until the red LED flashes every 0.5 seconds.
  2. Link the thermostat. Press the left touch zone for approximately 10 seconds.
  3. The screen will display for linking the heat pump relay.
  4. When the [bo] symbol flashes, turn the selector ring until the [bo] symbol appears.
  5. Touch the left touch zone to send the linking signal; the symbol will flash multiple times.
  6. If the linking is successful, a number indicates the signal strength (1 = minimum, 5 = maximum). If the linking fails, the [co] symbol is displayed. Please try again.
  7. Once linking is established, the relay's red LED will turn off.

The link can be cancelled from the linking screen by pressing the left touch zone for approximately 10 seconds.

4 Battery Replacement

  1. Pull to remove the selector ring.
  2. Remove the thermostat from its base.
  3. Replace the batteries as indicated.
  4. Attach the thermostat to the base.
  5. Place the selector ring.
