Designed with red and blue solid-state illum ination light sources and phosphor technology, the red, green and blue color elem ent s are m odulat ed by one Digit al Microm irror Device ( DMD) panel responding to incom ing data stream s of digitized red, green, and blue color inform ation. As these digit al st ream s flow from t he source, light from t he responding on pixels of t he DMD panel is reflected, converged, and then proj ect ed to t he screen t hrough proj ection lenses, where all pixel reflections are superim posed in sharp full- color im ages. Installation and setup Positioning the display When you select a position for the proj ector, consider the size and shape of your screen, the location of your power outlets, and the distance between the proj ector and the rest of your equipm ent . Follow t hese gener al guidelines: · Posit ion t he proj ect or on a flat surface at a right angle t o t he screen. The proj ect or ( wit h t he standard lens) m ust be at least 1.33 m ( 4.3 ft) from the projection screen. · Posit ion t he proj ect or t o t he required dist ance from t he screen. The dist ance from t he lens of the proj ector to the screen, the zoom setting, and the video form at determ ine the size of the proj ected im age. · Determ ine the lens throw ratio. Leave t he filt ers in t heir sealed packaging until ready for use. Do not re- use the fog filters as they clog up with oil and the proj ector overheats and shuts down. Installation and setup Setting up the projector lens Set up the proj ector lens to adj ust the im age size, focus, and position. Adjusting the zoom and focus Ensur e t hat t he im age r eflect ed fr om t he digit al m icr om ir r or dev ice ( DMD) is par allel and cent er ed with the lens and screen. 1. Display an im age or test pattern that can be used to analyze im age focus and geom etry. 2. Press ZOOM on keypad or rem ot e cont rol. You can also select Menu > Configuration > Lens Settings > Zoom. 3. Use t he up and down arrow keys t o zoom in or out of t he im age. 4. To exit t he m enu, press EXIT. 5. Press FOCUS on keypad or rem ot e cont rol. You can also select Menu > Configuration > Lens Settings > Focus. 6. Use t he up and down arrow keys t o adj ust t he focus of t he im age. 7. To exit t he m enu, press EXIT. 8. To refine your adj ust s, repeat st eps 2 t o 7. Adjusting lens position Shift the lens to the specific position. 1. Display an im age or test pattern that can be used to analyze im age location. 2. Press LENS SHIFT ( up but t on) on keypad or LENS H/LENS V on rem ot e cont rol. You can also select Menu > Configuration > Lens Settings > Lens Shift. 3. Use t he arrow keys t o adj ust t he lens posit ion. For best lens perform ance, keep t he shift values wit hin t he lens offset ranges. For m ore inform ation, refer to Calculating the lens offset on page 32. 4. To exit t he m enu, press EXIT. Resetting the lens to home position Set the lens offset back to the hom e position. 1. Press LENS on keypad or LENS H/LENS V on rem ot e cont rol. Configuring communications Define and control how single or m ultiple proj ectors are linked with each other and with controlling d ev ice. Setting network environment Determ ine the com m unication settings such as network setup, serial port inform ation, and so on. Adjusting LAN setting Set up network configuration for wire networking. 1. Select Menu > Configuration > Communications > LAN. 2. Set up the appropriate setting: · MAC Address--Display t he net work MAC address value. · Network Status--Connect or disconnect Net work st at us. · LAN Interface--Choose from RJ- 45 or HDBaseT. · DHCP--Enable or disable t he DHCP t o aut om at ically get I P address, subnet m ask, and so on. · IP Address--Assign t he net work I P address. · Subnet Mask--Assign t he net work subnet m ask. · Default Gateway--Assign t he net work default gat eway. · Primary DNS--Assign t he prim ary DNS. · Secondary DNS--Assign t he secondary DNS. 3. Configuring light settings Adjusting WLAN setting Set up network configuration for wireless networking. 1. Select Menu > Configuration > Communications > WLAN. 2. Set up the appropriate setting: · SSID--Display t he SSI D of t he wireless net work. · Enable--Enable or disable t he wireless funct ionalit y. · Start IP--Assign t he st art I P address of t he wireless net work. · End IP--Assign t he end I P address of t he wireless net work. · Subnet Mask--Assign t he subnet m ask of t he wireless. · Default Gateway--Assign t he gat eway of t he wireless. 3. To apply t he WLAN set t ings, select Apply. Adjusting network setting Set up network configuration setting, such as reset back to default. 1. Select Menu > Configuration > Communications > Network. 2. Set up the appropriate network setting: · Projector Name--Display t he nam e of t he proj ect or. User can change t he nam e of t he proj ector by web user interface. · Show Network Message--Enable or disable t o display of t he net work m essage. · Reset to Default--Reset t he net work configurat ion set t ing, including LAN set t ing and · WLAN set t ing, back t o default . 3. To apply t he net work configurat ion, press ENTER. Setting serial port baud rate Select the serial port and baud rate. 1. Select Menu > Configuration > Communications > Serial Port Baud rate. 2. Set up the appropriate baud rate. 3. To confirm t he select ion, press ENTER. Enabling serial port echo Enable or disable t o allow t he CLI com m and pass t hr ough. 1. Select Menu > Configuration > Communications > Serial Port Echo. 2. To swap, press ENTER. Configuring light settings Logging on to the web user interface Log on t o t he web user int erface by following t he st eps below. 1. Connect t he proj ect or t o AC and power it on. 2. When network is available, connect the proj ector and com puter to the sam e network. a. To check t he proj ect or address in a wired net work, select Menu > Configuration > Communications > LAN > IP Address. b. To check t he proj ect or address in a wireless net work, select Menu > Configuration > Communications > WLAN > Default Gateway. 3. I f net work is unavailable, connect t he proj ect or t o t he com put er wit h an RJ45 cable. a. Set t he Default Gat eway and Subnet Mask of t he com put er t o m at ch t he proj ect or. b. Set the I P address of the com puter to m atch the first three num bers of the proj ector. For exam ple, if t he proj ect or I P address is 192.168.000.100, set t he com put er I P address to 192.168.000.xxx, where xxx is not 100. 4. Open a web browser and t ype t he proj ect or address in t he browser address bar. 5. I n t he Usernam e field, t ype t he usernam e. The default usernam e is adm in. 6. I n t he Password field, t ype t he password. The default password is proj ect or serial num ber. 7. Click Login. Using the web interface To cont rol t he proj ect or t hrough t he web int erface, do t he following: 1. Start up the web browser on your com puter or m obile devices. 2. Ent er t he I P address set on t he proj ect or int o t he URL of t he web browser. 3. Ent er t he user nam e and password t o login. Aft er a successful login, you can cont rol t he proj ector over the web interface. Using the RS-232C interface To cont r ol t he pr oj ect or t hr ough t he RS- 232C int er face, do t he follow ing: 1. Connect your com put er and t he proj ect or direct ly using t he RS- 232 cable. 2. Set t he sam e baud rat e in bot h your com put er and proj ect or. Use com m ands t o cont rol t he proj ector.
