DocumentDocumentDISPLAY ICON DETAILS Rotating arrow icon. Indicates that the radio is PMR in Scan, Vote or MultiAx Mode. It will disappear when the radio is locked on a channel. Rotating arrow icon. Indicates that the radio is TRUNK registering with the Trunk Network. It will disappear when the radio is in-service. The solid speaker icon indicates that speaker audio is enabled, e.g. during a Call. Indicates a signal is present and the radio is muted. This could be another user group, for instance. Envelope Icon. Indicates there are one or more stored calls. The Chevron. Shown against a function to show that it is turned ON This symbol indicates whether the radio has been "CALLED" or if it is in the "ON-CALL" state. (PMR only). * This icon indicates Call Pending, i.e. there is an outgoing call waiting for the radio to be In-Service. (TRUNK only). WARNINGS Do NOT operate your mobile radio, without a hands-free kit, whilst driving a vehicle. Do NOT operate your radio in an explosive atmosphere unless the radio's level of IECEx approval is approved for use in that atmosphere. Obey the `Turn Off Two-way Radios' signs where these are posted, e.g. on a petrol station forecourt. Do NOT touch the antenna while the radio is transmitting. SRM9030 Plus BRIEF USER GUIDE TNM-U-E-0087 ISSUE 6.0 INTRODUCTION Congratulations, the SRM9000 series equipment is an advanced mobile transceiver and microphone using the latest DSP technology. It is designed for easy installation in today's vehicle where space is at a premium. TheSRM9000 can operate in a wide range of conventional and trunked radio systems. Your radio consists of a SRM9000 transceiver for local or remote installation, and a SRM9030plus Alphanumeric Control Head, which is arranged for mounting within view and reach of the driver. The Transceiver is software programmable with many customisable parameters to suit your individual requirements. Ask your Simoco Dealer for details of upgrades and a list of the Ancillaries available. For greater operational and functional detail, refer to the main User Guides TNM-U-E-0092 (PMR) or TNM-U-E-0093 (Trunk), which are available for download on the Simoco website http://www.simocowirelesssolutions.com via the Partner Portal. Switch On/Off COMMON RADIO FUNCTIONS Press the knob to switch the radio On or Off. Note: The radio can be programmed to switch off automatically after a set period of inactivity. Volume Rotate the knob to set the volume to the required level. Tx/Rx/Power LED Red LED illuminates when the radio is transmitting. Note: The microphone must be on-hook for Hands-free operation.
