Placement and Power on
Placement
Place the litter box on a hard, flat ground ensuring all four feet contact the surface. Reserve sufficient space: height of at least 70cm and depth of at least 80cm. To move the unit, disconnect power first and use the clasp under the host; do not lift or move the barrel.
The placement diagram illustrates required clearances: a height of 70cm, a depth of 80cm, and a 30cm infrared working range from the front. It also depicts the opening space for the waste bin.
Do not place the litter box in environments with high temperature, high humidity, or direct sunlight. Avoid soft or uneven ground. Do not place any foot on a cat litter mat. Do not drag or heavily place the litter box. If the infrared sensor is frequently triggered by reflective surfaces or shelters, consider turning it off or relocating the unit. If a cat litter mat is used, its thickness should not exceed 3cm.
Power On & Self Test
Use the original adapter for power. Ensure stable voltage and good power supply.
The litter box performs a self-test within 6 minutes upon powering on. After the self-test, Auto mode is enabled by default, indicated by the Auto lamp. The unit is then ready for normal operation.
Do not move the litter box when powered on. Lifting for over 5 seconds triggers gravity protection lock, requiring manual leveling or a 30-minute reset. The unit can be used without the infrared sensor, relying on gravity sensors. If the Fault lamp is on during self-test, check barrel installation after powering off.
Begin to Use
Add Litter
Add litter from the entrance up to the MAX line marked on the gray soft part of the barrel. Avoid exceeding the MAX line to prevent spillage. Maintain litter level at the MIN line for effective filtering and reduced adhesion.
After adding litter (approx. 0.6kg), press and hold Remove odor for 2 seconds to smooth the litter before proceeding.
Due to variations in litter fluidity, sand surface calibration can be adjusted via the TUYA APP. In the app's settings, select 'Sand surface calibration'. The default is 3 (adjustable from 0 to 6). If the litter surface is low on the right, increase the value; if low on the left, decrease it. After adjusting by one point, press Remove odor for 2 seconds to level the litter and check for horizontality.
For the first use, mix with old litter to help cats adapt. Recommended litter amounts: Tofu/mixed litter up to 3kg, mineral litter up to 4.5kg. If litter is not smoothed after adding, gravity protection lock engages, requiring manual leveling or a 30-minute reset.
Connecting APP
1. Download and install the 'tuya' APP. 2. Ensure your phone is connected to 2.4G WIFI, with Bluetooth and Location services enabled. 3. Open the 'Tuya' APP and tap 'Add device'. 4. Press and hold Auto for 2 seconds; the WIFI lamp will flash, indicating connection. 5. Complete the process within the APP.
If connection fails: check for 5G network connection (switch to 2.4GHz), ensure Bluetooth is on, verify WIFI lamp flashing, check router status, confirm correct WIFI network and password, move the unit to an area with better signal, or check for IP address conflicts due to too many connected devices.
Main Function
Auto Clean
Click Auto to enable Auto clean mode (indicated by the Auto lamp). The litter box cleans automatically after a cat uses it. Click again to disable. Default waiting time for cleaning is 3 minutes, with a 15-minute interval between cleans. These times can be adjusted via the APP (waiting time 0-60 min, interval 0-120 min). For kittens under 1kg or pregnant cats, use manual Clean instead of Auto clean.
Auto clean is triggered if a cat over 1kg stays for over 10 seconds. After power-on and self-test, Auto mode is on by default with restored default waiting/interval times. Cleaning cannot be interrupted via the panel or APP.
Timing Clean
Set scheduled cleaning times via the APP, specifying start time and cycle. Manual Clean is recommended for kittens under 1kg or pregnant cats.
Clean
Click Clean to initiate an immediate cleaning cycle. Ensure the cat is not inside. The litter box calibrates weight before cleaning; if a cat is present, gravity protection will prevent operation.
Cleaning cannot be interrupted. Panel and APP controls are locked during cleaning.
Remove Odor
Click Remove odor to activate a 30-minute odor removal cycle (indicated by a flashing lamp). Click again to stop. Timing odor removal can be set via the APP. Default: odor removal follows each cleaning cycle. It can be stopped by leveling or cleaning. The unit uses an Ion Purification module, producing safe levels of Ozone (O₃).
Do Not Disturb
Set 'Do not disturb' mode via the APP to turn off the display and control panel lamps and disable Auto clean during specified periods. The mode will finish any ongoing cleaning before activating. Scheduled cleaning/odor removal will execute first, then re-enter 'Do not disturb'. Touching panel keys will end the current 'Do not disturb' period. The child lock can prevent accidental deactivation.
Child Lock
Press Auto and Remove odor simultaneously for 2 seconds to enable the child lock, disabling panel keys. The unit continues programmed operations. Press again to disable. The child lock can also be controlled via the APP and does not affect APP operations.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Full Prompt
The Full lamp illuminates when the waste bin is nearly full. If the lamp lights up but there is still space, recalibrate the 'Full' setting in the APP. Adjustment ranges vary by litter type: Tofu/mixed litter (0-7), Bentonite litter (5-10), Mineral litter (8-15). Lower values trigger the prompt earlier; higher values trigger it later. Exceeding ranges may cause incorrect prompts.
The capacity calibration diagram shows a slider for adjustment from 0 to 15, with labels indicating 'Earlier Full prompt' and 'Later Full prompt'. It also lists the adjustment ranges for different litter types.
The 'Full prompt' is a reference; the litter box continues to function normally.
Replace Garbage Bags
1. Press Clean for 2 seconds to move the waste bin to the bag-changing angle. It stays for 60 seconds before returning automatically. 2. Align the drawstring hole of the new bag with the tie-up pile and clamp the bag opening under the locating clip. 3. Wrap the bag mouth around the waste bin door frame, pull the drawstring tight, and tuck it into the tie-up pile. 4. Tidy the bag at the back to avoid interference. Close the waste bin and ensure the buckle is fastened.
Ensure the waste bin door opens/closes normally. Replace bags every 3 days in summer and 7 days in winter, or as needed.
Replace Litter
1. Replace the garbage bag before emptying litter. 2. Press Replace litter for 2 seconds. The litter box collects all litter into the garbage bag. 3. Open the waste bin and remove the bag. The process can be cancelled by pressing Replace litter again.
Recommended to replace litter when below MIN line. If litter remains, repeat the process. 'Replace litter' cannot be performed during 'Remove odor' mode.
Cleaning and Installation
Empty the barrel and waste bin. Disconnect power, unbuckle and lift the barrel. The barrel can be washed with water. The host base contains electrical components and must only be wiped with a damp cloth.
After cleaning, dry components. Install the barrel by aligning the rotating shaft with the fixed slot, close the buckle, and secure the waste bin. Power on, wait for self-test completion (Auto lamp on). Replace garbage bags and add litter.
Clean regularly. Replace the yellow rubber plug if removed for cleaning. Do not remove the filter or soft gray part from the barrel.
