1 PUMP MODEL
Diagram shows a Pump 1 button, a Light button, Up and Down buttons, and corresponding Indicator lights. Up/Down controls are separate.
2 PUMP MODEL
Diagram shows Pump 1, Pump 2, Light, and a combined Up/Down button, along with their respective Indicator lights. Up/Down controls are combined.
SPA FUNCTIONS
OFF MODE
Pressing the Pump 1 key for 5 seconds enables Off mode, stopping all outputs (filter cycle, heat request, smart winter mode) for 30 minutes for spa maintenance. During Off mode, the display toggles between "OFF", the clock, and water temperature. The spa light flashes before the 30 minutes end to warn of system resumption. Press Pump 1 or Pump 2 to restart the system early. Upon resumption, "On" is displayed for 3 seconds.
PUMP 1
Press Pump 1 key to turn Pump 1 on at low speed. A second press activates high speed (for dual-speed pumps). A third press turns the pump off. A built-in timer automatically turns the pump off after 20 minutes unless manually deactivated. The "Pump 1" indicator lights up when Pump 1 is active. For dual-speed pumps, the indicator flashes when Pump 1 is on at low speed.
PUMP 2 KEY
Not available on all models. Press Pump 2 key to turn Pump 2 on at low speed. A second press activates high speed (for dual-speed pumps). A third press turns the pump off. A built-in timer automatically turns the pump off after 20 minutes unless manually deactivated. The "Pump 2" indicator lights up when Pump 2 is active. For dual-speed pumps, the indicator flashes when Pump 2 is on at low speed.
LIGHT KEY
Press the Light key to turn the light on. A second press turns it off. A built-in timer automatically turns the light off after 2 hours unless manually deactivated. The "Light" indicator lights up when the light is on.
UP/DOWN KEYS
Use the Up or Down keys to set the desired water temperature. The selected temperature is displayed for 2 seconds for confirmation. On 2-pump spas, a combined Up/Down key is used: hold to increase, release to stop, hold again to decrease. The "Set Point" icon indicates the display shows the desired temperature, not the current water temperature.
PROGRAMMING STEPS
PROGRAM MENU
Access the program menu by holding the Light key for 5 seconds. Parameters adjustable include: clock, filter/purge cycles, economy mode, and temperature units. Use Up/Down keys to adjust parameters and the Light key to advance to the next parameter. Changes are saved only after confirming the last parameter. Exiting without action for 10 seconds discards changes.
SETTING THE CLOCK
Enter the program menu (hold Light key for 5 seconds). The current clock setting is displayed with the hour flashing. The system may be set to 24-hour or 12-hour time. Use Up/Down keys to adjust the hour, then press Light key to move to minutes. Use Up/Down keys to adjust minutes, then press Light key to move to filter/purge start time (FS).
PROGRAMMING THE FILTER/ PURGE CYCLES
Depending on configuration, the spa performs filter or purge cycles. Filter cycle parameters: start time (FS), duration (Fd), frequency (FF). Purge cycle parameters: start time (FS), frequency (FF). A filter cycle starts all pumps/blower at high speed for 1 minute (purge step), then the filter pump runs at low speed for the remaining duration (clean step). A purge cycle (for spas with 24-hour circulation pumps) starts all pumps/blower at high speed for 1 minute.
SETTING FILTER OR PURGE CYCLE START TIME
The display shows FSxx, where "xx" is the starting hour. Use Up/Down keys to adjust the hour. Press Light key to advance to filter duration (Fd).
SETTING FILTER CYCLE DURATION
(Not available on purge systems) The display shows Fdxx, where "xx" is the duration in hours. Use Up/Down keys to adjust. Press Light key to advance to filter/purge frequency (FF). 0 = no filtration, 24 = continuous filtration. Setting to "0" is not recommended.
SETTING FILTER OR PURGE CYCLE FREQUENCY
The display shows FFxx, where "xx" is the number of cycles per day. Use Up/Down keys to adjust. Press Light key to advance to economy mode (EP). The "Filter cycle" indicator lights up when the filter is on and flashes when suspended.
SETTING ECONOMY MODE
This mode lowers the spa temperature set point by 20°F (11°C) for a specific period. The display shows EPx, where "x" is the economy state (0 = disabled, 1 = enabled). Use arrow keys to enable/disable. Press Light key to advance to economy start time (ES). When Economy mode is ON, the display toggles between "Eco", time, and temperature.
SETTING ECONOMY START TIME
The display shows ESxx, where "xx" is the hour the economy mode becomes active. Use Up/Down keys to adjust. Press Light key to advance to economy duration (Ed).
SETTING ECONOMY DURATION
The display shows Edxx, where "xx" is the duration in hours for economy mode. Use Up/Down keys to adjust. Press Light key to advance to temperature unit. 24 = continuous economy. Note: Economy mode settings may depend on system configuration and software revisions.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
SETTING TEMPERATURE UNIT
Water temperature can be displayed in Fahrenheit (°F) or Celsius (°C). The display shows F or C. Use Up/Down keys to change the setting. Press Light key to save all parameters.
SMART WINTER MODE
Protects the system from cold by running pumps periodically to prevent freezing. The "SWM" indicator lights up when freezing is detected and flashes when purge is active.
COOLDOWN
After heating the spa water to the desired Set Point, the heater turns off, but Pump 1 (low speed) or the circulation pump (CP) remains on for a set time to cool the heating element, extending its life.
WATER TEMPERATURE REGULATION
Every 15-90 minutes, a pump runs to ensure accurate temperature readings and prevent dry heating. After checking pump activation and temperature, the system automatically turns the heater on to reach and maintain the Set Point. An indicator flashes when taking a temperature reading.
TROUBLESHOOTING SECTION
If an error occurs, the display shows error messages toggled with the clock and water temperature.
IN.XE ERROR CODES
Hr
An internal hardware error has been detected in the in.xe. Contact dealer or service supplier.
HL
The system has shut the heater down because the temperature at the heater reached 119°F (48°C). Do not enter the water. Remove the spa cover, allow water to cool, then shut off power and power the spa up again to reset.
AOH
Temperature inside the spa skirt is too high, causing internal temperature in the in.xe to increase above normal limits. Open skirt and wait until error clears.
FLO
The system does not detect water flow while the primary pump is running. Check and open water valves. Check water level. Clean filter. If the problem persists, call your dealer or service supplier.
Prr
A problem is detected with the temperature probe. Call your dealer or service supplier.
OH
The water temperature in the spa has reached 108°F (42°C). Do not enter the water. Remove the spa cover, allow water to cool to a lower temperature. Call your dealer or service supplier if the problem persists.
