Device Description
The O-UVC2 Pro Ozone Generator from the Baseaire series utilizes oxygen from the surrounding air as a molecular compound. The generator draws in ambient air and initiates a discharge procedure, breaking down diatomic oxygen molecules into free radicals. These atomic oxygen particles then recombine with other oxygen molecules to form ozone.
Ozone is a potent oxidant with high reaction potential, making it effective in decomposing destructive airborne substances. The free radicals within ozone molecules react with various substances in the air, even at low concentrations. This oxidative decomposition process helps eliminate odors and break down pollutants, including viruses, bacteria, molds, and allergenic microorganisms found on surfaces like floors, walls, and ceilings.
Once ozone has oxidized other atoms, the ozone molecules convert back into oxygen molecules. Due to their unstable bonds, unoxidized ozone molecules naturally decompose into oxygen over time, leaving no harmful residues. In indoor environments under normal conditions, ozone has a half-life of approximately 30 to 60 minutes, meaning its concentration is halved every hour.

Operation
State Description of Switch
- The default state is OFF. When powered ON, the indicator light remains illuminated, signifying that the ozone generator and fan are active.
- Rotate the knob's arrow to the desired position to set the operating time, ranging from 00:00 to 02:00. During operation, the indicator light will be on, and the ozone generator and fan will run. The knob's arrow will return to OFF to shut down the unit.
Ozone naturally decomposes into oxygen within approximately one hour. If a person remains in the area for extended periods, they may not perceive the strong ozone smell.
Overall Workflow for Odor Neutralization and Cleaning
- Place the O-UVC2 Pro Ozone Generator in the center of the room.
- Ensure the equipment and connecting cables are not damaged.
- Connect the power cable to the device and a power source, observing the technical parameters.
- Set the timer to the required run time.
- Turn on the device. The display panel will illuminate, and the cleaning cycle will commence immediately. The O-UVC2 Pro Ozone Generator will automatically shut down once the preset time has elapsed.
Warnings and Treatment Time
⚠️ The risk of ozone causing harm to the human body!
During use, if ozone is smelled outside the designated working area, the machine must be stopped immediately. Ventilate the room thoroughly.
The following table provides general reference values for determining the processing time based on the type of smell and room size:
Type of Smell | The treatment time is in min | |
---|---|---|
Room size < 30 m³ | 30 m³ < Room size < 60 m³ | |
Disinfectant | 20 | 40 |
Car Interior | 30 | 60 |
From Animals, Cooking and Waste | 30 | 60 |
Burning / Chemical | 60 | 85 |
The Musty Smell After Water Damage | 60 | 85 |
Secondary Effects of a Burning Smell and Organic Matter | 80-350 | 85-500 |
Amine / Amide (urea), Open-chain Hydrocarbon Compound (e.g. Butyric Acid) | 360 | 720 |
Amino Acids / Proteins Containing Nitrogen and Sulfur (vomit) | 360 | 720 |
Mistakes and Shortcomings
The equipment has undergone multiple checks for normal function during the production process. If a fault persists, consult the following list:
⚠️ Electric shock is life-threatening!
Before performing any operation on the device, unplug the power plug from the socket. Do not bypass any electrical safety devices!
Problem | Cause | Solution |
---|---|---|
Device does not work. | Power is not turned on. | Plug the plug into the socket. |
The connection parameters do not match the technical specifications. | Check the connection to the main line. Connection parameters: 110 V / 60Hz, 1.1A. | |
The fuse is blown | Replace the damaged fuse. Be careful! The fuse does not need to be repaired but must be replaced if blown. In most cases, a blown fuse indicates a serious technical failure. Please have authorized service personnel replace each fuse. | |
The power plug is damaged. | Disconnect the power supply of the device and check whether the power plug and connecting cable are damaged. | |
Loud noise | This device is placed in an uneven place. | Place the device on a flat, solid, dry surface. |
Damage to the fan and/or its bearings. | Let certified personnel inspect the equipment. | |
Even if the cleaning process has been completed, the odor pollution still persists with the same intensity. | Reactor damage. | Send the equipment to a certified professional workshop for repair. |
To ensure normal and trouble-free operation, the equipment must be cleaned and maintained regularly.
Maintenance
⚠️ Electric shock is life-threatening!
Before performing any operation on the device, unplug the power plug from the socket. Do not bypass any electrical safety devices!
⚠️ Inhalation of ozone can cause injury!
After the equipment stops running, wait for a while to ensure the ozone concentration is lower than the specified value before performing maintenance and cleaning.
Regular maintenance is essential for ensuring the normal and trouble-free operation of the equipment. The type and frequency of maintenance tasks depend on the operating environment and usage patterns. Dust and moisture accumulation can affect function and efficiency. In dusty environments or after fire damage (high humidity), inspection and maintenance should be performed immediately.
Basic Principles for Determining Equipment Operation and Maintenance Intervals:
- Often
- Per hour
- 1-2 times a week
- In an overly dirty environment
- In a humid room
Perform maintenance if one or more of the following signs appear, regardless of operating conditions:
- Increased noise level when the fan is running.
- Severely polluted soft magnetic stickers.
- Dirty electrodes (indicated by a hissing sound).
- Substances produced during ozone production gradually disappear.
House Cleaning
Clean the exterior case with a soft, damp, lint-free cloth. Ensure no moisture enters the enclosure and prevent electrical components from getting wet. Do not use harsh cleaning agents like sprays, solvents, alcohol-based cleaners, or abrasives.
Cleaning Components
Regular maintenance includes checking the condition of the equipment and its accessories, and thoroughly cleaning its components.
Cleaning the Fan
- Remove the screws on the dust cover.
- Remove the shell.
- Disassemble and clean the fan. Check its operation. For light contamination, use a vacuum cleaner or tap water. For serious contamination, clean with a soap solution. Ensure the fan is completely dry before reassembly.
Cleaning the Electrode
The electrode can be cleaned in its built-in state. Inspect for cracks before cleaning. Do not use damaged parts.
Use a dry (lint-free) or damp cloth to clean components. Ensure no fibers remain on the electrode after cleaning. Do not use the device before the electrodes are completely dry.
Installation Requirements
The following requirements must be met when installing the Baseaire O-UVC2 Pro Ozone Generator:
- Use the generator only according to the parameters provided in the "Technical Data" chapter.
- Ensure no obstructions at the air inlet and outlet.
- Place the device in the center of the room for optimal air circulation.
- Do not install near flammable substances or gases.
- Place the device on a dry and vibration-free surface.
- Protect the equipment from splash water.
Transportation and Storage
Incorrect storage or transportation can damage the device. Pay attention to the following information:
Transportation
Before transporting the equipment, observe these regulations:
- Turn off the device.
- Hold the power plug while unplugging the power cord from the outlet.
- If the device was recently in use, wait until the timer period has ended before moving it.
- Do not drag the device by its power cord during transportation to prevent movement and vibration that could damage the electrode.
After transporting the equipment:
- Install the equipment in an upright position.
Storage
When the device is not in use, observe these storage conditions:
- Store the Baseaire O-UVC2 Pro Ozone Generator in a dry place, protected from adverse weather and dust.
- Always disconnect the power supply when the equipment is not in use.
