Hunter Pro-C Controller Programming Instructions

Setting the Date and Time

1. Turn dial to SET CURRENT DATE / TIME.
2. YEAR: The year will be flashing. Press [increase] and [decrease] to change the year. Press [next] to advance to MONTH.
3. MONTH: The month will be flashing. Press [increase] and [decrease] to change the month. Press [next] to advance to DAY.
4. DAY: The date will be flashing. Press [increase] and [decrease] to change the date. The day of the week is automatically indicated by an arrow in the display. Press [next] to advance to TIME.
5. TIME: The time will be displayed. Press [select AM/PM] to select AM, PM or 24 hr. Press [select hour] to select hours. The hour will be flashing. Press [increase] and [decrease] to change the hour. Press [select minute] to select minutes. Minutes will be flashing. Press [increase] and [decrease] to change the minutes. The date, day, and time are now set.

Setting Program Start Time

NOTE: A single watering start time will start the program (A, B, C) and all stations assigned to the program will run sequentially.

1. Turn dial to the SET PROGRAM START TIMES position.
2. Select program A, B, or C by pressing the PRG button.
3. Press [increase] and [decrease] to change the start time.
4. Press [next] to select the next start time, or PRG for the next program.
5. To eliminate a Programmed Start Time: Press [increase] or [decrease] to set the start time to OFF (which is between 11:45 PM and midnight).

Setting Station Run Times

1. Turn the dial to the SET STATION RUN TIMES position.
2. Select program A, B, or C by pressing PRG.
3. The display will show the station number and the program letter selected (A, B, or C). The run time will be flashing.
4. Press [increase] and [decrease] to change the run time.
5. Press [next] to advance to the next station.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each station.

Setting Days to Water

Turn dial to the SET DAYS TO WATER position. The controller displays currently programmed active day schedule information. This dial position provides four different water day options: water on specific days of the week, interval watering, or water on odd days or even days. Each program can only operate using one type of water day option.

Selecting Specific days of the Week to Water

1. With the arrow cursor on a specific day (the cursor always starts with Monday), press [activate day] to activate a particular day of the week to water. Press [cancel day] to cancel watering for that day. After pressing a button, the cursor automatically advances to the next day. A [water drop symbol] indicates a water day. A [crossed out water drop symbol] indicates a no water day.
2. Repeat step 1 until desired days have been selected.

Automatic Operation

After programming, set dial to RUN to enable automatic operation of all scheduled waterings.

Rain Sensor Bypass Switch

If a sensor is preventing system operation (or no sensor is installed and the switch is in the ACTIVE position), SENSOR OFF will be displayed. Move the switch to BYPASS and the rain sensor will be bypassed.

Seasonal Adjustment

1. Turn dial to SEASONAL ADJUSTMENT position.
2. Press [increase] and [decrease] to set the seasonal adjustment from 5% to 300% in 5% increments. The station run times displayed will automatically be recalculated.

System Off

Turn dial to the SYSTEM OFF position. Shuts down all programmed waterings indefinitely until the dial is returned to the RUN position. Can be used to cancel waterings in progress.

Manually Operating a Single Station

1. Turn dial to the MANUAL-SINGLE STATION position.
2. Station run time will flash in the display. Press [select station] to move to the desired station. Press [increase] and [decrease] to change the amount of time for valve to water.
3. Turn the dial to the RUN position to run the station. (Station designated will water, then controller will return to automatic mode).

One Touch Manual Start and Station Advance

1. With the dial in RUN position, press and hold [start button] until Station 1 appears in the display.
2. Press [increase] or [decrease] to select amount of time.
3. Press [advance station] to advance stations. After a short pause the controller will begin watering.
4. To cancel, turn dial to OFF position until display reads OFF, then turn dial back to RUN to return to automatic mode.
