This is a portable induction loop system that can be used in a variety of locations, both public and private. This tough but light unit is easily transported and integral batteries allow it to be freestanding. These batteries are both replaceable and rechargeable and long usage can be expected (up to 24 hours). The loop is contained within the unit hence there are no trailing wires. The LoopHEARTM102V2 will cover an area of approximately 1m2 /3.3ft2. There is an integral microphone that picks up speech and conversations. An external microphone may be added if required (supplied). This induction loop system is designed to assist hearing aid users by transmitting direct to their telecoil equipped hearing aid (which must be switched to the `T' position). Note: users of digital hearing aids must make sure their aids have been programmed for use with the `T' setting. The outer carton has been specially designed as a handy carrying case. It is recommended to retain this carrying case to enable safe transportation when transporting the LoopHEARTM102V2. It is important that you read the instructions below in order to use your GeemarcTM LoopHEARTM102V2 to its full potential. Keep this user guide in a safe place for future reference. RECOMMENDATION We recommend that to preserve the environment, you switch the button on/off to off after each use. The RED LED indicator will switch off. 2 INTRODUCTION Unpacking the LoopHEARTM When unpacking the LoopHEARTM102V2, you should find the following in the box: 1 LoopHEARTM 1 power adaptor/charging unit. There are several country specific power adaptor/charging units. The one supplied is dependant on country of purchase. Push the catch gently with the screwdriver - this will release the base plate. Lift the LoopHEARTM unit off the base plate. 6 INSTALLATION Opening of the catch mechanism Fig B Remove the batteries door (1,2). Remove the battery tap (3, 4). Replace the batteries door. WARNING: USE ONLY THE BATTERIES AND AC ADAPTOR SUPPLIED WITH THE UNIT OR BY GEEMARC. USING ANY OTHER BATTERY OR AC ADAPTOR MAY CAUSE SERIOUS MALFUNCTION AND RENDER THE GUARANTEE VOID. 7 INSTALLATION Replace the base plate by placing the hook found on the bottom left of the LoopHEARTM into the catch on the base plate. Press the LoopHEARTM down gently until you hear a click. Hook Catch Plug the power cable into the power socket found on the rear of the unit. Plug the adaptor into the mains supply and switch the supply on. Strain Relief Please use the strain relief mechanism as displayed. This provides extra protection for the cable at the connection point. It will extend the life of the power cable and reinforce the connection to the equipment. 8 INSTALLATION The LoopHEARTM Batteries will need to charge for 8 hours before it's first use. The WHITE LED indicatory below the handle will light up when the batteries are charging. The LED indicator will turn GREEN when the batteries are fully charged but when charging the first time, let the batteries charge for about 8 hours before use. Locating the LoopHEARTM In order to receive the optimal sound from the LoopHEARTM, the ideal location is facing the user. There are two options when locating the LoopHEARTM. Fully Portable The LoopHEARTM can be used as a fully portable unit with or without the base plate attached. It can be used in a variety of locations with no setup required and can be used immediately. Semi Fixed If you want to ensure the LoopHEARTM stays in one place, then it can be used as a semi fixed unit as follows: 1) Choose the location to fix the LoopHEARTM. Please bear in mind the range of coverage available (see below). Ensure you make full use of it. 2) Remove the base plate as described in Battery Charging above. 3) Screw the base plate to the table or desktop with the screws provided. 4) Replace the base plate as described in Battery Charging above. LH102 120° 400 mA p/m at 0.8 m 9 USING THE LoopHEARTM FIXING THE HAND HELD Listener HOLDER (option) The hand held listener holder can be attached to the LoopHEARTM on the left hand side or the right hand side, depending on where it would be convenient for use. In order to fix the attaches the receiver holder: 1. Insert the lug at the side of the holder gently into the slot in the cabinet. 2. Insert the screw provided with the holder into the hole of the holder and into the hole in the side of the cabinet, and tighten the screw fully using a screw driver. The handheld receiver can now be placed in the holder. Note: The handheld receiver has a built in magnetic sensor which will ensure that the receiver cuts out when it is replaced in the holder. 10 USING THE LoopHEARTM Turn the LoopHEARTM On Turn the power switch found at the rear of the unit to the 1 position. The power indicator RED LED next to the switch lights up. Turn the LoopHEARTM Off After use, turn off by setting the power switch at the back of the unit to the 0 position. INSTALLATION & OPERATION 1. Choose a suitable location, free from magnetic or electrical interference for installation and use of LH102. Install the LH102 ensuring that the cables are securely anchored. 2. Connect the desktop Microphone to the Mic jack. (or If needed connect an Aux device to the Aux input jack). Please note that if an Aux device is connected, the MIC will be switched off. 3. Switch on the external power and check that the Power ON LED illuminates. 4. Apply the input signal (for example speaking into the Mic) to Mic or playing some music on the Aux device. (For the Aux input the sensitivity can be adjusted with a small flat blade screwdriver via the control which need to be turned until the green LED start to light). 11 USING THE LoopHEARTM 5. The LH102 is already factory set to get optimal performances in magnetic field transmission but, depending upon your specific requirements, you can change the magnetic field level or its frequency response. Use a small flat blade screwdriver to adjust the controls for the Loop Current and Tone Adjustment. 6. Test the performance of the system using a loop receiver or field strength meter. Adjust the Tone and Loop Current controls to achieve the desired performance. The Tone adjustment enables compensation for loss of higher frequency signal during transmission. Turn the Loop Current control clockwise to get the desired magnetic field level (The Loop Current Indication LED will become brighter as the Loop current is increased). 7. Loop Antenna & Performance The unit has a built in loop antenna which is normally sufficient for most applications. However to increase the coverage area, one can use an external perimeter loop with the following characteristics: Loop resistance 0.3 to 1 ohm Loop Impedance 1.3 ohm at 1.6 KHz For local area loops, use wire 0.5 to 1.5 mm2 or 22 to 16 AWG The external loop can be connected to the unit at the connector at the back. Just press the latches of the spring clamps and insert the terminating wires of the external loop. If using the external loop, slide the selector switch next to the connector to the External loop position. 12 USING THE LoopHEARTM Using the Hand held HAC Receiver (option) A Hand held HAC receiver is supplied for hearing impaired users who do not use a hearing aid, do not have a `T' coil hearing aid or wish extra privacy afforded by the hand held listener. Simply, plug the hand held listener into the RJ11 connector with coding on the side at the rear of the unit. The receiver has a magnetic sensor which automatically switches on the receiver when it is removed from the holder and switches off when it is replaced. The volume can be adjusted by using the volume knob also found at the rear of the unit (turn knob clockwise to increase volume). Using the External Microphone (option) Plug the supplied desktop microphone into the MIC JACK at the back of unit. The external microphone will now override the builtin microphone. The magnetic field LED indicator will light up blue when you speak to the built-in microphone or external microphone. NOTE: When the external or Internal microphones are in use, the blue LED light flashes with an intensity depending on the strength of the transmitted magnetic signal through the loop. 13 USING THE LoopHEARTM Using the Audio Input The LoopHEARTM can transmit sound through the loop from an external audio source like a TV set , MP3-4 , computer. Connect your audio equipment to the 3.5mm socket (blue) on rear panel of your LoopHEARTM. You will then hear the magnetic signal when you are within 1 meter of the LoopHEARTM with your hearing aid in the "T" position. The sensitivity can be adjusted by turning the control at the rear with a small flat screw driver. LED Indicators The unit has various LED indicators located in the handle recess area, which light up as follows : 1. Blue LED flashes in sync with the Field Strength LED on the front. 2. If the AC adaptor is plugged in - White LED lights up if the batteries are charging. - White LED changes colour to Green when the batteries are fully charged. 3. If the AC adaptor is not plugged in and the unit is switched ON - All LEDs except the Blue one will be off if the batteries have adequate charge. - Red LED lights up when the Batteries voltage is low. When the Red LED lights up Plug in the Power Adaptor immediately to charge the batteries. 14 TROUBLESHOOTING The RED LED is flashing Charge the batteries The LoopHEARTM keeps on switching off Make sure that the batteries are fully charged You cannot hear clearly due to interference or you cannot hear at all Make sure the LoopHEARTM is switched on and facing you Move the LoopHEARTM closer to you LH102 produces minimum 400mA per meter at a distance of 80cm in compliance with specification EN60118-4. This produces an effective magnetic field of 2.5M or more depending on the sensitivity of the hearing aid or listening device. For example, when used with the Geemarc products LH10 or LH20 a distance of 3M can be achieved. The magnetic field strength can be adjusted with the Loop current potentiometer on LH102 rear panel (see page 12 item 5 in your user guide) which can in such case also adjust the distance of detection. BATTERY USAGE: To ensure that your LoopHEARTM is always ready for use please follow the recommendations below: Always switch off when not in use Always recharge the batteries after continuous use for more than 6 hours or when the red LED is ON Recharge the batteries every four months if the unit has been switched OFF for long periods of time As a rough guide the battery will allow the following usage depending on the volume levels and ambient noise: Standby when turned Off 4 MONTHS Standby when turned On but not in use 24 HOURS In continuous use from fully charged battery 7 to 10 HOURS 15 SAFETY INFORMATION General Do not open the unit. Contact the helpline for all repairs. Cleaning Clean the LoopHEARTM with a soft cloth. Never use polish or cleaning agents - they could damage the finish or the electronics inside. Environmental Do not expose to direct sunlight. Always ensure there is a free flow of air over the surfaces of the LoopHEARTM Do not place any part of your product in water and do not use it in damp or humid conditions e.g. bathrooms. Do not expose your product to fire or other hazardous conditions. 16 GUARANTEE From the moment your GeemarcTM LoopHEARTM102V2 is purchased, GeemarcTM guarantee it for the period of two years. During this time, all repairs or replacements (at our discretion) are free of charge. Should you experience a problem then contact our help line or visit our website at www.geemarc.com. The guarantee does not cover accidents, negligence or breakages to any parts. The product must not be tampered with or taken apart by anyone who is not an authorised GeemarcTM representative. Le LoopHEARTM102V2 est une boucle d'induction mobile utilisable dans tous lieux publics et professionnels Le LoopHEARTM102V2 est très facile à transporter d'autant plus qu'il est doté de batteries intégrées, remplaçables et rechargeables, avec une autonomie de 24 heures. La boucle d'induction est contenue dans le LoopHEARTM102V2 et couvre une superficie de 1m2 /3.3ft2. Ce système de boucle d'induction envoie un courant qui crée un champ magnétique. Ce champ est capté par la bobine en position T. Le microphone est intégré mais un second microphone externe peut être rajouté. Note: Pour que le LoopHEARTM fonctionne, vérifiez que les utilisateurs basculent leur prothèse auditive en position T. L'emballage du colis a été spécialement conçu pour transporter le LoopHEARTM102V2 en toute sécurité. Il est important de lire entièrement la notice d'utilisation du LoopHEARTM102V2 avant la première utilisation. RECOMMANDATION Pour préserver l'environnement, nous vous recommandons de mettre le commutateur marche / arrêt sur arrêt après chaque utilisation. Poussez le tournevis délicatement vers le bas cela libérera le couvercle. 24 INSTALLATION Fig B Ouverture du compartiment à batterie Ouvrez le bloc de batterie (1,2). Retirer la languette du compartiment (3,4). Replacez le capot du compartiment à batterie. ATTENTION: Veuillez utiliser seulement les batteries et l'adaptateur secteur fourni avec le produit ou par GEEMARC. En utilisant des autres batteries ou un autre adaptateur secteur, vous pouvez endommager votre produit. Le produit sera mis en hors garantie. 25 INSTALLATION Remettez le couvercle en plaçant le crochet de celui-ci à gauche du LoopHEARTM. Appuyez sur le couvercle pour fermer. Crochet Ergot Branchez l'adaptateur secteur à une prise murale. Branchez le cordon électrique de l'adaptateur secteur à l'arrière de la base. Adaptateur secteur Passage de fil 26 INSTALLATION Utilisez « le passage de fil » pour sécuriser la connexion. Avant la première utilisation, la batterie du LoopHEARTM a besoin d'être chargé pendant 8 heures. Le voyant blanc en dessous de la poignée s'allumera si les batteries sont chargées. Le voyant passera au VERT lorsqu'elles seront totalement chargées mais pour la première charge, mettre les batteries en charge durant 8 Heures avant utilisation. Utilisation du LoopHEARTM Pour recevoir un son optimal du LoopHEARTM, placez-le en face de l'utilisateur. Vous pouvez l'utiliser de deux façons : De façon mobile Vous pouvez transporter le LoopHEARTM lors de vos déplacements. Il peut être utilisé partout et immédiatement sans aucune configuration préalable. De façon Semi Fixe Vous pouvez installer le LoopHEARTM à un endroit spécifique. Pour le fixer, suivez les instructions décrites ci-dessous : 1) Choisissez l'emplacement pour fixer le LoopHEARTM 2) Retirez le couvercle de protection (voir description page 25) 3) Fixez le couvercle de protection sur une table ou un bureau en utilisant les trous situés sur le couvercle. 4) Replacez le LoopHEARTM sur le couvercle fixé (voir description page 25) LH102 120° 400 mA p/m à 0.8 m 27 FONCTIONNEMENT Fixation du support de l'écouteur (option) Le support de l'écouteur peut être placé soit sur le côté droit ou soit sur le côté gauche du LoopHEARTM. Pour fixer le support de l'écouteur, suivez la procédure ci-dessous : - Placez le support dans le guide du LoopHEARTM. Mettez la vis de fixation comme sur dessin 2. L'écouteur peut maintenant être placé dans son support. REMARQUE: L'écouteur est doté d'un capteur magnétique qui veillera à couper l'écouteur lorsque celui-ci sera replacer sur son socle. 28 FONCTIONNEMENT Allumer le LoopHEARTM Basculez l'interrupteur du LoopHEARTMsur la position « 1 » situé derrière l'appareil. Le voyant rouge juste à côté s'allumera en rouge. Eteindre le LoopHEARTM Après utilisation, basculez l'interrupteur sur " 0 " situé derrière l'appareil. INSTALLATION ET MISE EN FONCTIONNEMENT 1. Choisissez un endroit libre de toute interférence, de champs magnétique ou électrique pour l'installation et l'utilisation du LH102. Installez le et veillez à la fixation des cables. 2. Connectez le microphone de bureau à la prise Micro. (ou si nécéssaire une source auxiliaire sur l'entrée audio). Noter que si une source auxiliaire est connectée, l'entrée micro ne fonctionne plus. 3. Mettre l'interrupteur sur Marche et contrôler si le voyant s'éclaire en rouge. 4. Appliquer le signal d'entrée ( par exemple en parlant dans le micro ou en écoutant de la musique). Pour l'entrée auxiliaire, la sensibilité peut être ajustée avec un petit tournevis plat via le bouton jusqu'à ce le voyant vert s'allume. 29 FONCTIONNEMENT 5. Le LH102 est déjà réglé en usine pour obtenir les performances optimales pour la transmission de champ magnétiques, mais en fonction de vos besoins, vous pouvez changer le niveau du champ magnétique ou la réponse fréquentielle. Utilisez un petit tournevis plat pour régler la puissance dans la boucle et la réponse fréquentielle. 6. Vous pouvez tester la performance du système en utilisant un récepteur de boucle ou de mesure d'intensité de champ. Réglez la tonalité et la puissance de sortie pour atteindre le niveau souhaité. Le réglage de la tonalité permet de compenser la perte de haute fréquence lors de la transmission. Tournez le potentiométre de puissance de sortie vers la droite pour obtenir le niveau souhaité. Le voyant de puissance sera plus lumineux plus le courant augmentera. 7. Boucle & performance L'appareil posséde une boucle intégrée qui est normalement suffisant pour la plupart des applications. Cependant pour augmenter la zone de couverture, on peut utiliser une boucle externe avec les caractéristiques suivantes: Résistance de boucle 0.3 à 1 ohm Impédance de boucle 1.3 ohm à 1.6 KHz Pour les boucles locaux, utiliser du fil 0.5 à 1.5 mm2 ou 22 à 16 AWG La boucle externe peut être connecté à l'arrière de l'appareil. Appuyez sur les loquets et insérez les fils de votre boucle externe. Si vous utilisez la boucle externe, placez l'interrupteur sur la position EXT. 30 FONCTIONNEMENT Utilisation de l'écouteur (option) Un écouteur (Compatible prothèse auditive) est également fourni pour les personnes qui ne sont pas appareillées ou qui désirent un renforcement supplémentaire d'écoute. Connecter son connecteur RJ11 connecteur avec détrompeur sur le côté à l'arrière de l'appareil repéré en vert. L'écouteur possède un capteur magnétique qui le commute automatiquement en marche une fois décroché et l'arrête une fois reposé sur son socle. Le niveau de l'écoute est ajustable grâce au bouton de réglage du volume situé derrière l'appareil. (Tournez le bouton vers la droite pour l'augmenter). Utilisation du Microphone Externe (option) Branchez le microphone externe dans la prise jack microphone (3.5mm rose) située à l'arrière de l'appareil. Une fois branché, seul le microphone externe fonctionnera. Remarque : Lorsque le signal du microphone (interne ou externe) est amplifié par le LoopHEARTM, les LEDs bleus (situées à l'avant et l'arrière) clignoteront avec une intensité proportionelle au niveau de champ émis par la boucle magnétique. (ce qui permet d'adapter lors de la conversation , la distance avec le Microphone). 31 FONCTIONNEMENT Utilisation de l'entrée audio Le LoopHEARTM peut également transmettre, grâce à sa boucle magnétique, un signal delivré par une source audio externe ( télévision, lecteur MP3 ou MP4 , ordinateur..... ). Connecter votre équipement audio au connecteur 3.5mm bleu situé à l'arrière de votre LoopHEARTM. Vous entendrez le signal avec votre prothèse auditive en position T si vous êtes à moins d'un métre. La sensitivité peut être ajustée en tournant le bouton de control à l'aide d'un petit tournevis plat. Significations des voyants Le produit posséde des nombreux voyants en dessous de la poignée,qui s'allument comme suivant: 1. La LED bleue clignote en syncronisation avec l'intensité du champ magnétique en façade. 2. Losque l'adaptateur est connecté - La LED blanche s'allume si les batteries sont chargées. - La LED blanche change de couleur en vert si les batteries sont totalement chargées. 3. Lorsque l'adaptateur secteur n'est pas connecté et que l'appareil est sur Marche - Toutes les LEDs sauf la bleue seront éteintes si les batteries sont un niveau de charge satisfaisant. 32 PROBLEMES EVENTUELS - La LED rouge s'allume si le niveau des batteries sont faibles. Lorsque la LED rouge est allumée, veillez à connecter l'adaptateur secteur pour la recharger. Le voyant lumineux clignote rouge les batteries sont en charge. Le LoopHEARTM ne fonctionne pas Vérifiez que les batteries soient correctement chargées. Vous entendez des interférences ou vous n'entendez pas correctement : Vérifiez que le LoopHEARTM soit allumé et placé en face de vous. Placez le LoopHEARTM à côté de vous. La LH102 produit minimum 400mA par mètre à une distance de 80cm en accord avec la norme EN60118-4. Ceci permet un champ magnétique effectif, rayonnant sur 2.5m ou plus suivant la sensibilité de la prothèse auditive portée par la personne. Par exemple, quand elle est utilisée avec les produits Geemarc LH10 ou LH20, une distance de 3m peut être atteinte. La puissance du champ magnétique peut être ajustée à l'aide du potentiomètre de réglage du courant de boucle situé sur le panneau arrière de la LH102 (Voir page 30 item 5 de la notice d'utilisation), qui permet dans ce cas, d'ajuster la distance de détection. Utilisation des batteries : Pour que votre LoopHEARTM soit toujours prêt, suivez les consignes décrites ci-dessous: Arrêtez votre LoopHEARTM lorsque vous ne l'utilisez pas. Rechargez votre LoopHEARTM si vous l'utilisez plus de 6 heures ou si le voyant lumineux rouge s'allume. Rechargez les batteries si votre LoopHEARTM reste inutilisé plus de 4 mois. D'une manière générale suivant l'usage, les batteries pourront : Rester chargée jusqu'à 4 mois si le LoopHEARTM est éteint. 33 INFORMATIONS GENERALES Rester en mode veille durant 24 heures (sans utilisation). Etre utilisée en continu durant 7 à 10 heures (batterie complètement chargée au départ). Informations générales Ne pas ouvrir l'appareil. Dieses robuste aber leichte Gerät kann leicht transportiert werden und die integrierten Batterien ermöglichen den kabellosen Betrieb. Diese Batterien sind sowohl austauschbar als auch aufladbar, ein langer Betrieb (bis zu 24 Stunden) kann vorrausgesetzt werden. Die Induktionsschleife ist in das Gerät eingebaut, so gibt es keine herabhängeden Kabel. Der LoopHEARTM102V2 deckt in etwa einen Bereich von 1m2 ab. In ihm ist ein integriertes Mikrofon enthalten, das Sprache und Unterhaltungen aufnimmt. Ein externes Mikrofon (ebenfalls im Lieferumfang enthalten) kann bei Bedarf angeschlossen werden. Dieses Induktionsschleifen-System ist entwickelt worden, um Benutzer von Hörgeräten dabei zu unterstützen, direkt an ihr mit telecoil ausgestattetes Hörgerät zu übermitteln (letzteres muss dafür auf die `T' position umgestellt werden). Hinweis: Benutzer von digitalen Hörgeräten müssen sicherstellen, dass ihr Hörgerät für den Betrieb im `T'-Modus programmiert wurde. Drücken Sie den Riegel vorsichtig mit dem Schraubenzieher weg dadurch wird sich die Bodenplatte lösen. Heben Sie die LoopHEARTM Einheit von der Bodenplatte. 42 INSTALLATION Abb. DIE VERWENDUNG ANDERER BATTERIEN ODER NETZTEILE KANN ZU SCHWEREN FUNKTIONSSTÖRUNGEN UND ZUM VERLUST DES GARANTIEANSPRUCHS FÜHREN. 43 IINNSSTTAALLLLAATTIIOONN Bringen Sie die Bodenplatte wieder an, indem Sie den Haken unten links am LoopHEARTM am Verschluss an der Bodenplatte positionieren. Drücken Sie den LoopHEARTM sanft nach unten bis Sie ein Klicken hören. Harken Verschlus Stecken Sie das Spannungskabel in den Gleichstromanschluss auf der Rückseite. Stecken Sie danach den Adapter in das Haushaltsversorgungsnetz und schalten Sie den Netzanschluss ein. Zugentlastung Bitte nutzen Sie die Zugentlastung, wie in der Abbildung gezeigt. Diese Vorrichtung dient zum zusätzlichen Schutz des Kabels an der Verbindungsstelle, was zu einer längeren Lebensdauer des Kabels führt und den Anschluss am Gerät festigt. 44 INSTALLATION Die Batterien des LoopHEARTM müssen vor dem ersten Gebrauch 8 Stunden geladen werden. Die WEISSE LED-Anzeige unter dem Griff leuchtet auf, sobald die Batterien laden. Die LED-Anzeige springt auf GRÜN, wenn die Batterien vollständig geladen sind. Beim ersten Aufladen müssen die Batterien ungefähr 8 Stunden lang laden. Aufstellen des LoopHEARTM Für eine optimale Klangqualität mit des LoopHEARTM sollte das Gerät zum Gesicht des Benutzers zeigen. Zum Aufstellen des LoopHEARTM gibt es zwei Möglichkeiten. Komplett tragbar Der LoopHEARTM kann als komplett tragbare Einheit mit oder ohne Bodenplatte benutzt werden. Es kann an einer Vielzahl von Orten benutzt werden, ohne dass zusätzliche Einstellungen nötig sind. Außerdem kann es sofort eingesetzt werden. Halbfest Wenn Sie sicherstellen wollen, dass das LoopHEARTM an einer Stelle bleibt, so kann es wie folgt als halbfeste Einheit genutzt werden: 1) Wählen Sie den Ort aus, an dem das LoopHEARTM befestigt werden soll. Bitte beachten Sie den Hörbereich, den das Gerät abdeckt (siehe unten). Nutzen Sie den gesamten Bereich nach Möglichkeit aus. 2) Entfernen Sie die Bodenplatte, wie oben unter Batteriewechsel beschrieben. 3) Schrauben Sie die Bodenplatte auf dem Tisch oder einer anderen Unterfläche mit den mitgelieferten Schrauben fest. 4) Befestigen Sie das LoopHEARTM wieder an der Bodenplatte, wie oben unter Batteriewechsel beschrieben LH102 120° 400 mA p/m bei 0.8m 45 BBENENUUTZTUZUNNGGDDESESLoLopoHpHEAEARRTMTM BEFESTIGUNG des Handhalter-Ohrhörerhalter (option) Der Handhalter-Ohrhörerhalter kann nahe dem LoopHEAR auf der linken Seite oder der rechten Seite angebracht werden, je nach zweckmäßigkeit der Verwendung. Zur Fixierung des Handhalter-Ohrhörerhalters: 1. Entfernen Sie die T-Gummiabdeckung auf der jeweiligen Seite des Anschlusses, an der Sie die Halterung befestigten möchten. 2. Legen Sie die T-Form Lasche an der Seite des Handhalter- Ohrhörerhalters sanft in den T-Steckplatz im Gehäuse und drücken Sie es fest an. Der Handhalter-Ohrhörerhatler kann nun in der Halterung platziert werden. Hinweis: Der tragbare Empfänger ist mit einem Magnetsensor ausgestattet, der den Empfänger ausschaltet, sobald dieser in die Halterung eingehängt wird. Einschalten des LoopHEARTM Stellen Sie den EIN-/AUS-Schalter auf der Rückseite des Gerätes auf die Position "1". Die ROTE LED-Anzeige neben dem Schalter leuchtet auf. 46 BENUTZUNG DES LoopHEARTM Ausschalten des LoopHEARTM Schalten Sie das Gerät nach dem Gebrauch aus, indem Sie den EIN-/AUS-Schalter auf der Rückseite des Gerätes in die Position "0" bringen. INSTALLATION & VERWENDUNG 1. Wählen Sie für die Installation und Verwendung des LH102 einen geeigneten Ort, der frei von magnetischen und elektrischen Störfeldern ist. Stellen Sie den LH102 auf und achten Sie darauf, dass die Kabel sicher befestigt sind. 2. Schließen Sie das Tischmikrofon an der MIC-Buchse an (oder ggf. ein AUX-Gerät am AUX-Eingang). Wenn ein AUX-Gerät angeschlossen wird, schaltet sich der MIC-Eingang ab. 3. Schalten Sie die externe Stromversorgung ein und überprüfen Sie, ob die LED-Betriebsanzeige leuchtet. 4. Erzeugen Sie ein Eingangssignal (z. B. durch Sprechen in das Mikrofon oder durch Abspielen von Musik über das AUX-Gerät). Die Empfindlichkeit des AUX-Eingangs lässt sich mit einem kleinen Schlitzschraubendreher einstellen. Drehen Sie dazu am entsprechenden Regler, bis die grüne LED aufleuchtet. 5. Der LH102 ist werkseitig so eingestellt, dass damit eine optimale Magnetfeldübertragung erzielt werden kann. Sie können die magnetische Feldstärke oder den Frequenzbereich aber auch individuell an Ihre 47 BBEENNUUTTZZUUNNGGDDEESSLLoooppHHEEAARRTMTM Anforderungen anpassen. Stellen Sie die Regler für Schleifenstrom und Toneinstellung mithilfe eines kleinen Schlitzschraubendrehers ein. 6. Überprüfen Sie die Funktion des Systems mithilfe eines Schleifenempfängers oder Feldstärkemessgeräts. Passen Sie den Ton und den Schleifenstrom über die jeweiligen Regler an, um die gewünschte Leistung zu erzielen. Mithilfe der Toneinstellung lässt sich der Verlust höherfrequenter Signale während der Übertragung ausgleichen. Drehen Sie den Schleifenstromregler im Uhrzeigersinn, bis die gewünschte magnetische Feldstärke erreicht ist (die Helligkeit der Schleifenstrom-LED erhöht sich mit zunehmendem Schleifenstrom). 7. Schleifenantenne & Leistung Das Gerät verfügt über eine eingebaute Schleifenantenne, die für die meisten Anwendungen ausreicht. Zur Erweiterung des Empfangsbereichs kann jedoch auch eine externe Perimeterschleife mit folgenden Spezifikationen verwendet werden: Schleifenwiderstand: 0,3 bis 1 Ohm Schleifenimpedanz: 1,3 Ohm bei 1,6 KHz Verwenden Sie bei lokalen Schleifen Drähte von 0,5 bis 1,5 mm² oder 22 bis 16 AWG. Die externe Schleife kann über die Buchse auf der Rückseite an das Gerät angeschlossen werden. Drücken Sie auf die Federklemmen und führen Sie die Kabel der externen Schleife ein. Bei Verwendung einer externen Schleife schieben Sie den Wahlschalter neben dem Anschluss auf EXT. 48 BENUTZUNG DES LoopHEARTM Benutzung des Handhalter-Ohrhörer HAC (option) Für Benutzer, die kein Hörgerät verwenden oder keinen,T`-Schalter an ihrem Hörgerät haben, befindet sich ein Handhalter-Ohrhörer im Lieferumfang. (TSpule ist im Handhalter-Ohrhörer für eine Induktive Übertragung integriert). Schließen Sie den Handhalter-Ohrhörer am RJ11 mit dem Codierstift auf einer Seite -Anschluss auf der Geräterückseite ein. Der Empfänger ist mit einem Magnetsensor ausgestattet, der den Empfänger automatisch einschaltet, wenn er aus der Halterung genommen wird, und ihn beim Einhängen wieder abschaltet. Die Lautstärke kann mit dem Lautstärkeregler eingestellt werden, den Sie ebenfalls auf der Rückseite des Gerätes finden (drehen Sie den Regler im Uhrzeigersinn, um die Lautstärke zu erhöhen). Benutzung des externen Mikrofons (option) Stecken Sie das mitgelieferte Desktop-Mikrofon in die Mikrofonbuchse auf der Rückseite des Gerätes. Das externe Mikrofon wird nun das integrierte Mikrofon übertönen. Die magnetfeld-LED-Anzeige wird bei Verwendung des externen oder des eingebauten Mikrofons blau aufleuchten. Hinweis: Wenn das externe oder interne Mikrofon in Nutzung ist, blinken die blauen LED mit der Stärke des übertragenen Signals durch die Ringschleife. 49 BENUTZUNG DES LoopHEARTM Benutzung des Audioeingangs Übertragen Sie Musik oder andere Audioquellen wie Fernseher, MP3-4, HiFi, Computer, .... durch Ihre LoopHEAR. Verbinden Sie Ihre Audiogeräte (Audio Out) an den 3,5 mm-Klinke (blau) auf der Rückseite Ihres LoopHEAR. Um das magnetische Signal zu empfangen sollten Sie Ihr Hörgerät in T Position gebracht haben. Die Empfindlichkeit lässt sich durch Drehen am Regler auf der Geräterückseite mithilfe eines kleinen Schlitzschraubendrehers anpassen. LED-Anzeigen Das Gerät verfügt im Bereich des Griffs über verschiedene LEDAnzeigen, die in folgenden Fällen aufleuchten : 1. Die blaue LED blinkt synchron mit der Feldstärke-LED auf der Vorderseite. 2. Wenn das Netzteil angeschlossen ist, - leuchtet die weiße LED auf, während die Batterien laden. - springt die weiße LED auf grün um, sobald die Batterien vollständig geladen sind. 3. Wenn das Netzteil nicht angeschlossen und das Gerät EINgeschaltet ist, - sind bei ausreichender Ladung alle LEDs mit Ausnahme der blauen ausgeschaltet. - leuchtet die rote LED, wenn die Batteriespannung niedrig ist. Wenn die rote LED aufleuchtet, schließen Sie umgehend das Netzteil an, um die Batterien aufzuladen. 50 FEHLERSUCHE Die rote LED blinkt Laden Sie die Batterien. Das LoopHEARTM schaltet sich immer selbständig aus Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Batterien voll geladen ist. Der Ton ist auf Grund von Störeinflüssen nicht klar oder gar nicht zu hören Stellen Sie sicher, dass das LoopHEARTM eingeschaltet ist und in Ihre Richtung zeigt. Stellen Sie das LoopHEARTM näher an sich heran Das LH102 erzeugt, der Norm EN60118-4 entsprechend, 400mA pro Meter bei einem Abstand von 80 cm, dadurch ergibt sich ein Magnetfeld mit einem Radius von 2.5 Meter oder mehr, je nach Empfindlichkeit des Hörgerätes. z.B.: bei einem Betrieb mit den LH10 oder LH20 von Geemarc kann eine Reichweite von 3 Meter erreicht werden. Die Stärke des Magnetfeldes kann eingestellt werden, dank des Stromschalters, der sich auf der Rückseite des LH102 befindet (Siehe Seite 47, item 5 der Bedienungsanleitung), so wird auch die Erkennungsreichweite eingestellt. BATTERIEBETRIEB: Um sicherzustellen, dass Ihr LoopHEARTM stets einsatzbereit ist, beachten Sie bitte die folgenden Empfehlungen: Das Gerät immer ausschalten, wenn es nicht genutzt wird. Die Batterien nach mehr als sechs Stunden Betrieb bzw. bei leuchtender roter LED-Anzeige immer aufladen. Falls das Gerät über einen längeren Zeitraum nicht eingeschaltet wird, sollten die Batterien alle vier Monate aufgeladen werden Je nach eingestellter Lautstärke und abhängig von den Umgebungsgeräuschen ermöglichen die Batterien etwa die folgende Betriebsdauer: STANDBY BEI AUSGESCHALTETEM GERÄT 4 MONATE STANDBY BEI EINGESCHALTETEM UND NICHT GENUTZTEM GERÄT 24 STUNDEN DAUEREINSATZ 7 BIS 10 STUNDEN MIT VOLL AUFGELADENER BATTERIEN 51 SICHERHEITSHINWEISE Allgemeines Öffnen Sie das Gerät unter keinen Umständen.
