Saevo Dental Practice Unit Pre-Installation Manual

Property Facilities Specifications for Dental Practice Units

Property Facilities Specifications

Understanding the property facility specifications for dental practice units is crucial for their performance and durability. This manual outlines the necessary requirements before installing your equipment. Saevo reserves the right to make changes to products and this manual without prior notification. Installation must be performed by an authorized Saevo technician to maintain the warranty. Property facility design, sizing, and execution must be handled by qualified professionals in compliance with current regulations.

Dental Practice Unit Positioning

Optimal positioning of the dental practice unit enhances ergonomics, ambience, and productivity. Installations should adhere to International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and International Dental Federation (FDI) recommendations. The room can be visualized as a clock face with the patient's mouth at the center (12 o'clock position). Concentric circles define zones:

Compressed Air

Compressed air installations must be free of particles, liquids, and oil. Maintain pressure between 80-120 PSI. Install the air compressor close to the supply point to minimize losses and avoid sanitary facilities to prevent air pollution. An air filter with a pressure regulator is required for each unit, using 1/4" x 10mm elbow at the inlet and 1/4" x 6mm elbow at the outlet. Pipes should slope 5%-10% towards airflow with an automatic drain valve at the lowest point. Use 10mm Polyurethane tubes preferably.

Electricity

Use appropriately sized circuit breakers. Separate electrical circuits for the dental unit, compressor, vacuum pump, X-ray, and autoclave. Ensure all electrical power points are properly grounded.

Water

Use only clean, potable water. Employ PVC pipes for installations. Install a water tap for each dental practice unit and a water register for the vacuum pump.

Sewer

Drainage pipes require a 2%-5% slope towards the drain flow. Separate drainage for sinks, the dental chair, and the vacuum pump. Connect drain sections only in siphoned boxes, preferably with a blind lid or lattice with closure. Use 45° fittings to prevent blockages and ensure correct drain direction. Install ventilation branches in the drainage network to prevent negative pressure. Use rigid PVC pipes.

High Power Suction

High power suction sewer pipes should be rigid PVC, 25mm diameter, with 45° joints and inclined in the flow direction. Electrical command installations for high power suction should be parallel when used in multiple dental units.

Installation Points Diagram

The following diagram illustrates the recommended installation points for various services relative to the central axis of the dental chair. Distances are critical for proper setup.

Diagram Description:

A central axis of the dental chair is shown with concentric circles labeled A (0.5m), B (1.0m), and C (1.5m) indicating different functional zones. Several installation points are marked:

Detailed connection diagrams are provided for:

Note: Dimensions are in millimeters unless otherwise specified. The diagram also shows the recommended layout for the dental set positioning within the room.

Spare Connection Box

This section details the installation for a separate connection box, which is an optional kit. The standard installation uses an integrated connection box at the base of the dental chair. If using the separate kit, follow this pattern.

Diagram Description:

A layout showing the dental chair and the recommended distances for the spare connection box. Outputs are labeled:

The diagram also reiterates the installation points (A, B, C, D, E, F) relative to the central axis of the dental chair.

ATTENTION: For installations with a standard connection box separated from the base, it is necessary to acquire the kit for loose connection box (sold separately).
