Release Notes

This document details the release notes for ZyXEL NSA320S firmware version V4.75(AANV.0)C0.

Known Issues

• FTP Encoding incompatibility with FTP clients may result in odd file names that the Media Server cannot support.
• Download Service may not always be able to download 10 files at a time, depending on available system memory.
• Copying or moving files/folders with names containing the following characters is not supported: " / \ : | < > ; , ? *
• Media Server may not support the following formats: gif, tif, asf, m2p, dvr-ms, ogg.
• Broadcatching may not work with YouTube RSS Feeds.
• Share Name or Share Path cannot exceed 200 characters.
• iTunes may not play video published by iTunes Server.
• DyDNS provider 3322 may only accept IP addresses from China.
• HDDs greater than 2TB cannot migrate from JBOD to RAID-1.
• Twonky mediaserver related functions are NOT compatible with IPv6, including streaming and the web page access.
• Some strings may appear in English when the language setting is Russian or French.
• Decompressed files larger than 2GB cannot be decompressed successfully.
• It may take approximately one minute to open another HTTP port or enforce HTTPS.
• NAS -> USB Sync may not delete folders on external HDDs.
• Duplicate data may occur in similar folder names.
• Scheduled weekly plans may cause NSA bootloops.
• Mail logs may fail to send and display a "msmtp: the server does not support authentication msmtp" warning.
• NSA320S and NFS may be incompatible with VMWare ESXi 5.5.
• Translation issues may occur on the German web GUI for "Enable WAN Access".
• Connecting with a Flickr account may result in a new blank window.
• The WEB GUI may freeze approximately every 3 days, requiring a power cycle to regain access.
• CVE-2015-0240 security issue.
• FTP auto-upload of large files (around 10GB) may stop at approximately 5GB.
• Translation issues may occur on Maintenance > Power > Add Power Control Schedule.

Installation Notes

FW Upgrade from GUI

1. Login to GUI page: Administration > Maintenance -> Fw Upgrade.
2. Select <firmware version>.bin and click the upgrade button. System will show progress percentage after upload <firmware version>.bin to system memory.
3. System will auto reboot.
4. New Firmware should apply.

[Enhancement]

• Modify the quota unit to MB so that the quotatool could support to set limitation up to 4000000MB.
• Patch glibc to fix GHOST issue (CVE-2015-0235).
• Disable SSL v2/v3 for security issues.
• Playzone may cause terrible view.
• Playzone move copy to external HDD fails.

[Enhancement]

• Add GoogleDrive support (Requires GoogleDrive package).
• Add standard rsync server/client support (Requires BackupPlanner package).
• Add OwnCloud support (Requires OwnCloud package).
• Upgrade Twonky media server to 7.2.5 to support Apple TV with Twonky beam app.
• HDD LEDs now blink slowly when the corresponding HDD hibernates. Users can select if they want to turn this feature off. If turned off, HDD LEDs stay on when the HDD hibernates.
• Enhance the limitation that HDDs greater than 2TB cannot migrate from JBOD to RAID-1.
• Notify user when new package(s) are available.
• Stop checking cdsdaemon in app watchdog when no volume exists.
• Change CPU TOP 10 display from 1.XXXXX to 1.X %.
• Change the Free space of Volume Capacity display to % and MB, similar to used space.

[Bug Fixed]

• Fix the bug where Home menu pictures pull back to the same site.
• Fix the bug where removing the old filename symbolic link of Twonky Media Server avoids Twonky publishing old filenames that do not exist.
• Fixed the bug where some tif and tiff files could not be displayed on the V4.70 web playzone.
