Please read carefully before using
Before using your new Synapptic speaker for the first time, please remove the thin plastic film that covers each rubber foot. We also recommend the speaker is fully charged before first use.
BUTTONS AND CONTROLS With the speaker grill facing you, from left to right, the buttons on the top of the speakers have the following functions:
Skip backwards to previous track Skipping past the previous track will play the last track. Skip forwards to next track Skipping past the last track will play the first track. Play / Pause / Mode Press quickly for play/pause. Press and hold for 3 seconds to change mode. A voice will announce the current mode (USB, FM or Bluetooth). USB mode requires a memory stick to be plugged in. FM mode requires the antenna cable to be plugged into the Aux socket. Bluetooth mode requires a phone or other Bluetooth enabled device as an audio source. The speaker will show as "Speaker 5.0" on your Bluetooth device. Increase volume Press quickly for a small volume increase. Press and hold for continuous volume increase. A small beep will sound when max volume is reached. Decrease volume Press quickly for a small volume decrease. Press and hold for continuous volume decrease. A small beep will sound when min volume is reached. Book- To bookmark your position on a memory stick or SD card, pause marking playback, then remove the memory stick and optionally switch off. Alternatively, press pause, leaving the speaker powered on and charging. Inserting a different memory stick will reset the bookmark.
With the back of the speaker facing you, from left to right, the following sockets and controls are available: USB Socket (with a square yellow outline) for playing MP3s from a memory stick. MicroSD card socket for playing MP3s from a MicroSD card. Aux input socket for wired music input or for the FM radio antenna. USB-C charging socket (with an oval yellow outline) for charging the speaker. On/Off switch (coloured yellow) for turning the speaker on and off.

PLAYING A MEMORY STICK To play a memory stick, insert it into the USB Socket on the back of the speaker. The speaker will switch to USB mode and start playing automatically. Files on the memory stick must be in MP3 format. Files are played in the order they were copied to the memory stick.
CHARGING THE BATTERY The charging wire has a large rectangular USB plug on one end and a smaller USB-C plug the other end. Insert the large end of the wire into the supplied USB mains charger and the smaller end into the speaker. A small red light at the top of the speaker grill will turn on when the speaker is charging and will turn off when fully charged. Charging takes approximately 3 hours.
WHAT'S IN THE BOX The box includes the playback speaker, USB-C charging cable, aux/antenna cable and instructions.
DEVICE CARE & WARNINGS · Do not clean the speaker with water or any other liquid, as this can damage the
electronics and create a safety hazard. Use only a dry cloth · Do not expose the speaker to high force, temperatures or humidity, as this can
damage the internal battery and create a safety hazard. Keep out of direct sunlight. Do not leave in a hot car. Do not place on a radiator or other hot surface · Keep the speaker, packaging and all accessories out of reach of children and pets, as small parts may cause a chocking or other hazard · Do not disassemble the speaker or attempt to repair it yourself, as this can damage the battery and create a safety hazard · Only use the supplied charging cable and accessories, as non-approved accessories may damage the device or cause a safety hazard · If the speaker is not going to be used for an extended period of time, it is recommended to store it with approximately 50% charge, to maximise battery life · When disposing of the speaker, follow local regulations for recycling or disposing of lithium-ion batteries · Always read and follow the instruction manual for the speaker to ensure safe and proper use, including information about the internal battery
