Leica Zeno Connect Setup Guide
Configure Realtime Corrections
Upon initial connection to the FLX100 plus, the status fields will populate with position information.
If the antenna does not connect after a few seconds, tap the 'Antenna' field.
Select the FLX100 plus device that you have connected via Bluetooth. After selection, the software will return to the main screen.
Note: The list of available antennas will populate over time with every Leica Zeno smart antenna you have connected. If only one antenna is connected, it will be the only one listed.
After connecting to the FLX100 plus, configure the device for accuracy by tapping 'Settings' on the main screen.
Connect to FLX100 plus Antenna
Tap on 'Realtime Corrections'.
Tap the [add icon] ➕ to create a new correction profile.
Enter a name for the profile. A description is optional. Tap the enter or checkmark button [checkmark] ✔️ to confirm. Close the keyboard by tapping the 'Next' button located at the bottom of the screen.
NTRIP Server Configuration
Tap on 'Internet', then tap the [next button] 'Next >' at the bottom of the screen.
Tap the [add icon] ➕ to create a new Server.
Enter a name for the data server, followed by the address, port, and user credentials. In most cases, ensure 'Use NTRIP with server' is turned ON. Tap [OK button] 'OK', then tap the [next button] 'Next >'.
Mountpoint Selection
Tap the [search icon] ? to select a mountpoint. Select your desired mountpoint from the list. Then tap the [next button] 'Next >' at the bottom of the screen.
Ensure the 'Data Format' is set to 'RTCM v3'. Leaving 'Network Type' and 'Reference Antenna' set to 'Automatic' is recommended. Tap [Finish button] 'Finish' to complete the process.
The app will now attempt to connect using the new profile. Upon successful connection, tap the [back button] twice to return to the main screen.
Home Screen Confirmation and Third-Party Applications
At the home screen, you will now see fields populated and accuracy being reported. Within less than a minute, you should observe horizontal accuracy down to a .07 ft / 2 cm level.
At this point, you may begin streaming positions to third-party applications such as:
- Esri Field Maps
- Esri Survey 123
- Geolantis360
- Pointman
- Geosync
- Field Genius
- Flowfinity
- Ecobot
- OnStation
- And others.
Advanced Usage: Apply a Geoid for Orthometric Elevations
At the home screen, tap on the 'Coordinate System' field.
To properly apply a geoid, select the coordinate system used by your GIS. In this example, we will select a State Plane option. Tap on 'Geographic Coordinate System'.
Tap the [options icon] ⋮ then select 'List'.
Projected Coordinate Systems
Tap on the 'Projected' folder.
Tap on the folder corresponding to your projected coordinate system.
Select your coordinate system. Once selected, you will be returned to the 'Coordinate System' screen.
Geoid Model Selection
Tap on the 'Geoid Model' field.
Tap the [options icon] ⚙️ to open the Geoid Model Region menu.
Scroll down to your country. In this case, USA, and tap on the 'USA' folder.
Region and State Selection
Tap on the region folder. For this example, 'Midwest'.
Tap on the State folder. The example shown is 'Indiana'.
Tap on the geoid file you need. The example shown is 'IN G18 GRS80'.
Geoid Loading and Confirmation
When setting the geoid file for use, keep in mind that Zeno Connect is still streaming latitude/longitude to the third-party application. Only the elevation is affected by these settings.
The geoid will now be loaded and selected. Tap the [back button] twice to return to the home screen.
Quick Access Widget: Always Available
When you swipe from the top of an Android device screen, you will see the Zeno Connect widget. This widget provides a lot of information instantly.
The widget displays key information such as:
- Accuracy: e.g., 2 cm (Vertical), 2 cm (Horizontal)
- Satellites Utilized: e.g., Σ:30
- Constellations: e.g., C: 8
- Antenna Status: e.g., FLX100/#652000006 (Connected)
- Coordinate System: e.g., WGS 1984
- Access to Zeno Connect Settings
- Real-time Corrections Status: e.g., (connected)
The Android Notification Drawer also provides access to detailed information including Fix Type, Latitude, Longitude, Height, GNSS Accuracy, Satellite's Utilized, and Zeno Connect Settings.
