Introduction
The Epilog Software Suite, comprising the Job Manager and Dashboard, is a powerful tool designed to enhance the user experience with Epilog laser systems. It allows users to manage jobs, access past settings, re-run projects, and utilize the material database.
System requirements include Windows 7, 8, 10, or 11.
Uninstalling Previous Job Manager Versions
Before installing the latest version, it is necessary to uninstall any previous installations of the Job Manager. This involves navigating to Control Panel > Programs and Features, selecting 'Epilog Job Manager', and following the prompts to 'Remove all components'.
Installing the Epilog Software Suite
To install the software, visit epiloglaser.com/drivers, select the Epilog Fusion Galvo, and download the Epilog Software Suite. The downloaded file is a .zip folder that requires extraction. Ensure the 'Ghostscript' folder remains with the installation files.
The installation process includes accepting license agreements (OpenCV BSDL, Libzip BSDL, Epilog EULA, OpenCV License, AGPL Ghostscript License) and selecting installation directories and start menu shortcuts.
Windows 8/10: Ethernet Installation
For Ethernet connections, users must configure TCP/IP settings. This involves setting a static IP address (e.g., 192.168.3.3) and Subnet Mask (255.255.255.0) in the computer's network adapter properties.
Windows 8/10: USB Installation
For USB installations, the IP address settings should be configured to 'Obtain an IP address automatically'.
Troubleshooting Job Manager Installation
If installation fails, anti-virus software may be blocking it. Temporarily disable virus and spyware protection features (e.g., Symantec Endpoint Protection) during installation and re-enable them afterward.
Important Job Manager Notes
- Install the newest version of the Software Suite before activating the laser to ensure proper machine association.
- A minimum of 1 GB of free RAM is recommended for managing large engraving and vector jobs.
