Option 1: Press and hold the logo (Featured Exercises) at the top of the screen for 5-7 seconds until the Product Dashboard displays.

Option 2: Press the Gear icon ⚙️ in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and select Machine Settings.

The Product Dashboard shows usage statistics (miles and time), console software version, Wi-Fi network information, and memory usage. If you experience buffering when using internet apps, press 'Bandwidth Test' to view your current internet speed. 3Mbps is required for standard streaming and 5Mbps for high-definition streaming.

The Product Dashboard displays:

Machine Settings

Access Machine Settings by pressing the Gear icon ⚙️. From here, you can enter two different codes on the keypad:

Service Mode (3001): After entering code 3001, navigate through menus on the left side of the screen to access different settings.

Within Service Mode, you can find:

Setup Wizard (3002): After entering code 3002, you will proceed through the Setup Wizard.

Connected Consoles - Updating Software

You can update software using Option 1 or Option 2. Navigate to the 'Update' menu on the left side of the screen and press 'Check for Updates'.

If updates are available, an 'Update' button will appear. Press it to download and install the software.

Note: To ensure the console always checks for updates, enable the 'Automatically check for update' option.

A download icon ⬇️ will appear on the screen when an update is found.

The available updates may include:

Not-Connected Consoles - Updating Software

  1. Visit https://www.matrixfitness.com/us/eng/home/support/software-updates to check for available software. If a different version is installed, download it by clicking the version link. Click 'More Information' for details on fixes and new features.
  2. Follow the steps in Option 1 or Option 2 to access the Service Mode or Machine Settings screen. Select the 'Update' menu, insert a USB drive into the console's USB port, and then press 'Update from USB'.

A video demonstrating how to download and install software via USB is available on the Matrix website.

Connecting Compatible Bluetooth Devices

  1. Turn on your compatible Bluetooth device. Press the Gear icon ⚙️ in the upper right corner and select 'Device Pairing'.
  2. Choose to connect 'Speakers/Headphones' or 'Heart Rate Monitors'.

Important: Matrix uses short-range Bluetooth. If you move away from the console while paired, you will need to re-pair your device upon return.

FTMS will display the console serial number when pairing with devices like a TV. The machine name will appear on your TV for identification.

Hiding or Rearranging App Icons

To hide or rearrange apps on your console screen, follow Option 2 to enter Machine Settings. Select the 'Applications' menu. Touch and hold an app to move it, drag it to 'Inactive' to remove it, or drag it to a new position to rearrange.

Volume Control and Screen Brightness

Volume Control: If the volume is too high or low for an app, TV, or Bluetooth device, use Option 1 to enter Service Mode (3001). Navigate to the 'Hardware' menu and adjust the 'Master Volume' using the slider.

Screen Brightness: If the screen is too bright or dim, use Option 1 to enter Service Mode (3001). Navigate to the 'Hardware' menu and adjust the 'Backlight Brightness' using the slider.

Changing Workout Defaults

To change default workout times, including minimum and maximum speed on treadmills, follow Option 1 and select the 'Workout' menu.

Adjustable defaults include:

Error Message 0304

This message indicates the headphone insertion count has reached a threshold, potentially affecting the earphone board. To resolve:

  1. Enter Service Mode (Option 1).
  2. Select 'Hardware'.
  3. Press 'Reset' for 'Console Headphone Insertions' to reset the count.

This will allow continued use. Contact Customer Technical Support for the error message and to order a replacement earphone board. Refer to your Owner's Manual for warranty terms.

No Belt Movement or Resistance

This issue may be related to 'Demo Mode'. Ensure 'Demo Mode' is not checked in the 'General' menu within Service Mode (Option 1). After unchecking, press the Home icon ?, cycle power on the frame, and test again.

Lube Belt Message

It is recommended to lubricate treadmills with a silicone running surface every 150 miles. A notification will appear on the console when maintenance is due. Refer to the Treadmill Deck and Belt guide for lubrication instructions.

Keypad Test

If handgrip buttons are unresponsive, perform a Keypad Test:

  1. Enter Machine Settings (Option 2).
  2. Select 'Calibration', then 'Keypad Test'.
  3. Press the unresponsive button; its input should display on the screen.

Cleaning the Console

Use a micro-fiber cloth and an LCD screen cleaner for the touchscreen. Regular cleaning reduces touch-related issues. If a screen cleaner is unavailable, use a damp (with water) micro-fiber cloth.
