SR5012/U1B, N1B, N1SG and K1B
SUBJECT:
Modification of the Firmware U14 via OTA (On the Air) or USB stick.
SYMPTOM:
- DTS Virtual: X
- Dolby Harmony 1.3: Dolby Atoms corresponded to the function of Dolby Harmony 1.3. (Requirement from Dolby laboratories)
- DTS E1MR: DTS:X decoder is able to play the specific DTS:X signals instead of DTS-HD decoder. (Requirement from DTS Inc.)
- AirPlay audio no longer functions properly with AVR (QS-73 by JP Region, QS-110 by NA region, and QS-118 by EU region)
- TV Sound Grouping of FY17 AVR with HEOS Speaker not working with Bit stream or multi-channel PCM (QS-121 by EU region)
- With USB stick inserted, AVR will not go into Power saving mode. (QS 5-93-20161207-2 by EU region)
- Under Tune In it is possible to create individual streaming URL's. These URL's are shown in HEOS App as individual streams, but playback of these streams is not possible (QS 5-93-20170202-1 by EU region)
- SR5012 is switching to standby (Auto power off), even Signal is on Input. Customer uses analogue 7.1 Input with multichannel SACD Player connected. (QS 3-10-20170912-1 by EU region)
CAUSE:
- Added new feature.
- Modified Dolby Atoms.
- Modified DTS:X.
- Firmware bug
- Firmware bug

COUNTERMEASURE:
The firmware has been corrected so that no malfunction occurs.
METHOD OF UPDATE via OTA (On the Air):
D&M's new networking feature with OTA (On the Air) allows for advanced service to customers and the creation of new business opportunities through new specific A/V products. Updating the firmware is described in the Instruction Manual.
Time necessary for update: approximately 20 min.
METHOD OF UPDATE the firmware via USB stick:
The following program files will be supplied for updating the subject models in SDI. Please refer to the Service Manual for updating.
