Introduction and Precautions

Thank you for selecting the SMART multi-channel weather station. The console features a built-in WiFi module and is compatible with the Tuya IoT platform via its smart system. Through the Smart Life App, you can view the temperature and humidity of the main console and wireless sensor(s), check history records, set high/low alarms, and trigger tasks from anywhere.

This system includes a wireless thermo-hygro sensor and can support up to 7 additional sensors (optional). Users can monitor and set multi-trigger tasks to control other Tuya-compatible devices based on specific conditions.

The colorful LCD display presents readings clearly and tidily, making this a true IoT system for you and your home.

Console

The console unit features several buttons and an LCD display.

  • 1. [ALARM/SNOOZE] key: For alarm functions.
  • 2. LCD display: Shows time, date, temperature, humidity, and sensor status.
  • 3. [CHANNEL / +] key: Switches between channels or increments values.
  • 4. [MODE / ALARM] key: Cycles through modes or sets alarms.
  • 5. [MAX / MIN / -] key: Displays maximum/minimum readings or decrements values.
  • 6. [HI/LO] slide switch: Adjusts backlight brightness.
  • 7. [ / CAL] key: Switches between Celsius/Fahrenheit or enters calibration mode.
  • 8. [TIME SET] key: Enters time setting mode.
  • 9. Table stand: For positioning the console on a surface.
  • 10. Battery door: Access to the backup battery compartment.
  • 11. Wall mounting hole: For mounting the console on a wall.

Wireless Thermo-Hygro Sensor

The wireless sensor unit includes:

  • 1. LED indicator: Shows status (e.g., transmission).
  • 2. Wall mounting holder: For attaching to a wall.
  • 3. Channel slide switch: Selects the sensor channel (1-7).
  • 4. [RESET] key: Resets the sensor.
  • 5. Battery compartment: Holds two AA batteries.

Installation and Setup

Install Wireless Thermo-Hygro Sensor

  1. Remove the battery door of the sensor.
  2. Use the channel slide switch to set the channel number for the sensor (e.g., Channel 1).
  3. Insert 2 x AA size batteries into the battery compartment according to the polarity markings, and close the battery door.
  4. The sensor enters synchronization mode and can be registered to the console within a few minutes. The transmission status LED will flash every minute.

NOTE:

  • If you need to re-assign a sensor channel, slide the channel switch to the new channel position and press the [RESET] key on the sensor for the new channel number to be effective.
  • Avoid placing sensors in direct sunlight, rain, or snow.
  • To avoid sensor/console pairing failure during new console setup, power up the sensor(s) first, then press the [SENSOR/WI-FI] key on the main unit.

Placing the Wireless Thermo-Hygro Sensor

Place a screw on the wall where you wish to hang the sensor. Hang the sensor onto the screw using the wall mounting holder. The sensor can also be placed on a table.

Setup the Console

Install the Backup Battery

The backup battery (CR2032 button cell) provides power to the console to retain clock time, date, max/min records, and calibration values.

  1. Remove the console battery door with a coin.
  2. Insert a new CR2032 button cell battery.
  3. Replace the battery door.

NOTE: The backup battery retains Time & Date, Max/Min records, and calibration value. The built-in memory retains router settings. Remove the backup battery if the device will not be used for a while, as it can still drain settings.

Power Up the Console

  1. Plug in the power adapter to power up the console.
  2. All segments of the LCD will be shown upon power-up.
  3. The console automatically enters AP mode and sensor synchronization mode. The display will show indicators for synchronization status, AP mode, and Wi-Fi connection.
  4. The wireless sensor will automatically pair with the console (approx. 1 minute). Upon successful synchronization, the display will change from '--.-°C --%' to actual readings.

NOTE: If no display appears, press the [RESET] key with a pointed object. If this fails, remove the backup battery, unplug the adapter, and repower the console.

Reset and Factory Hard Reset

  • To reset the console and start again, press the [RESET] key once or remove the backup battery and unplug the adapter.
  • To restore factory settings and remove all data, press and hold the [RESET] key for 6 seconds.

Changing Batteries and Manual Pairing of Sensor

Whenever sensor batteries are changed, re-synchronization is required:

  1. Replace sensor batteries with new ones.
  2. Press the [SENSOR / WI-FI] key on the console to enter sensor synchronization mode.
  3. The console will re-register the sensor (approx. 1 minute).

Additional Wireless Sensor(s) (Optional)

The console supports up to 7 wireless sensors.

  1. For a new sensor, slide the Channel switch to a new CH number.
  2. Press the [RESET] key on the new sensor.
  3. On the back of the console, press the [SENSOR / WI-FI] key to enter sensor synchronization mode.
  4. Wait for the new sensor(s) to pair up with the console (approx. 1 minute).
  5. Once connected, their temperature and humidity will be displayed.

NOTE: Sensor channel numbers must not be duplicated. Refer to the "INSTALL Wireless thermo-hygro SENSOR" section for details. The console can support different types of additional sensors (e.g., soil moisture); consult your retailer for more information.

Sensor(s) Resynchronization

Press the [SENSOR / WI-FI] key once to enter synchronization mode (channel number blinking). The console will re-register all previously paired sensors.

Remove Wireless Sensor

Manually delete a sensor from the console:

  1. Press the [CHANNEL] key until the desired sensor's display is shown.
  2. Press and hold the [REFRESH] key for 10 seconds until readings reset to "-- , -°C -- %".

Smart Life App Integration

Account Registration

The console works with the Smart Life App for Android and iOS smartphones.

  1. Scan the QR code to go to the Smart Life download page.
  2. Download the Smart Life app from Google Play or Apple App Store.
  3. Install the Smart Life App.
  4. Follow the instructions to create your account using a phone number or email.
  5. The Home Screen will appear upon successful account registration.

NOTE: No registration code is needed if using the email method. The app may change without notice. You may be prompted to allow location access for general weather information; the app will still function without it.

Connect Weather Station to Wi-Fi Network

  1. Press and hold the [SENSOR / WI-FI] key for 6 seconds to manually enter AP mode (indicated by blinking AP). When powered on for the first time, the console automatically enters and stays in AP mode.
  2. Open the Smart Life App and follow the in-app instructions to connect the weather station to your Wi-Fi network.
  3. The console will automatically exit AP mode and return to normal operation once connected to the Wi-Fi router.

NOTE: The smart weather station connects only to 2.4G Wi-Fi networks. Enable location information in your mobile when adding the console to the App. You can exit AP mode anytime by pressing and holding [SENSOR / WI-FI] for 6 seconds.

Device Screen Overview

The device screen displays IN and (CH) Channel readings, max/min records, and provides access to graphs, alert settings, alert history, and unit conversion.

  1. Temperature and humidity reading with max/min records for INDOOR.
  2. Temperature and humidity reading with max/min records for wireless sensor (CH1 - CH7).
  3. Back to home page icon.
  4. Device management for advanced features and firmware updates.
  5. View alert history.
  6. Setting for alert notification.
  7. Change temperature unit.

To View History Graph

You can view the history graph by tapping the INDOOR or CH region in the "device page". Select the period, and the graph will display. You can also download data by email.

To Set Alert Notification

You can set high/low temperature and humidity alarms:

  1. Tap "Setting" on the bottom of the "device Screen".
  2. Tap "Temperature Alarm" or "Humidity Alarm".
  3. Tap "INDOOR" or "CH1~7".
  4. Set the High/Low trigger values and slide the switch to activate the alert.

Automation with Other Devices Using Smart Life

The system can be integrated with other Smart Life compatible devices. By creating trigger conditions based on temperature and humidity, you can automate actions for devices like smart sockets and smart switch devices (e.g., heaters, fans, bulbs, humidifiers, dehumidifiers).

IoT Applications

Through the Smart Life App, you can create temperature and humidity trigger conditions to automatically control other Smart Life compatible devices. Follow the app's instructions to set conditions and tasks, such as "Launch Tap-to-Run", "When weather changes", "Schedule", or "When device status changes".

NOTE: Any tasks performed by third-party devices are at the user's own choice and risk. No guarantee is assumed regarding the correctness, accuracy, or reliability of IoT applications.

Firmware Update

The console can be updated via your Wi-Fi network. A notification will appear in the App when new firmware is available. Follow the in-app instructions.

During the update, the console shows the progress percentage. Upon completion, the console screen resets. Ignore any "App update fail" message if the console restarts normally.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

  • Keep the console powered during firmware updates.
  • Ensure a stable Wi-Fi connection.
  • Do not operate the console during the update process.
  • Settings and data may be lost.
  • During firmware update, data upload to the cloud server stops and resumes upon successful update. If connection fails, re-enter the SETUP page.
  • Firmware updates carry a risk; 100% success is not guaranteed. If an update fails, repeat the process.
  • If firmware update fails, press and hold the [C/F] and [REFRESH] keys simultaneously for 10 seconds to revert to the original version, then retry the update.

Other Settings & Functions of the Console

Manual Clock Setting

The console synchronizes with local time. For offline use, set time and date manually.

  1. In normal mode, press and hold [TIME SET] for 2 seconds to enter setting mode.
  2. The setting sequence is: 12/24 hour format → Hour → Minute → Year → M-D/D-M format → Month → Day → Time sync ON/OFF → Weekday Language.
  3. Press [+] or [-] keys to change values; hold for quick adjustment.
  4. Press [TIME SET] to save and exit, or it will auto-exit after 60 seconds.

NOTE: In normal mode, [TIME SET] switches between year and date display. Press and hold [TIME SET] for 2 seconds to return to normal mode during settings.

Setting Alarm Time

  1. In normal time mode, press and hold [MODE / ALARM] for 2 seconds until the alarm hour digit flashes.
  2. Press [+] or [-] to change the value; hold for quick adjustment.
  3. Press [MODE / ALARM] again to set the Minute digit.
  4. Press [+] or [-] to adjust the flashing digit.
  5. Press [MODE / ALARM] to save and exit.

NOTE: In alarm mode, the "" icon will display. The alarm activates automatically once set.

Activating Alarm Function

  1. In normal mode, press [MODE / ALARM] to show the alarm time for 5 seconds.
  2. Press [MODE / ALARM] again to activate the alarm function.

When the clock reaches the alarm time, an alarm sound will start. The alarm can be stopped by:

  • Auto-stop after 2 minutes of inactivity, reactivating the next day.
  • Pressing [ALARM / SNOOZE] to snooze for 5 minutes.
  • Pressing and holding [ALARM / SNOOZE] for 2 seconds to stop the alarm until the next day.
  • Pressing [MODE / ALARM] to stop the alarm until the next day.

NOTE: Snooze can be used continuously within 24 hours. During snooze, the alarm icon "" will flash.

Wireless Sensor Signal Receiving

The console displays signal strength for wireless sensors:

  • Good signal: Strong connection icon.
  • Weak signal: Partial connection icon.
  • No signal: No signal icon.

If the signal is lost and does not recover within 15 minutes, the signal icon disappears, and "Er" is displayed for temperature and humidity. If the signal does not recover within 48 hours, "Er" becomes permanent. Replace batteries and press [SENSOR / WI-FI] to re-pair the sensor.

View Other Channels (Optional Feature with Add-on Extra Sensors)

The console supports up to 7 wireless sensors. If you have multiple sensors, press [CHANNEL] to cycle through channels or press and hold [CHANNEL] for 2 seconds to toggle auto-cycle mode (displaying channels at 4-second intervals). The "?" icon appears during auto-cycle. Press [CHANNEL] to stop auto-cycle.

Temperature / Humidity Function

Temperature and humidity readings are displayed for the channel and indoor sections. Use the [°C / °F] key to select the temperature display unit. "LO" indicates readings below the measurement range, and "HI" indicates readings above.

Comfort Indication

The comfort indication is a pictorial representation based on indoor air temperature and humidity to determine comfort level.

  • Too cold
  • Comfortable
  • Too hot

NOTE: Comfort indication can vary with humidity. No indication is shown when temperature is below 0°C (32°F) or above 60°C (140°F).

Trend Indicator

The trend indicator shows temperature or humidity trends over the last 15 minutes.

  • Rising ?
  • Steady ➡️
  • Falling ?

Max / Min Data Record

The console records daily MAX/MIN readings and readings since the last reset.

  • Daily MAX reading
  • Daily MIN reading
  • MAX reading since last reset
  • MIN reading since last reset

To View Max / Min

  1. In normal mode, press [MAX / MIN] to view daily MAX records for the current channel and indoor.
  2. Press [MAX / MIN] again for daily MIN records.
  3. Press [MAX / MIN] again for cumulative MAX records.
  4. Press [MAX / MIN] again for cumulative MIN records.
  5. Press [MAX / MIN] again to return to normal mode.
  6. User can also check records for different sensors by pressing [CHANNEL].

To Reset the Max/Min Records

Press and hold [MAX / MIN] for 2 seconds to reset the current display MAX or MIN records.

NOTE: The LCD will display the "? MAX" or "? MIN" icon when showing records.

Calibration

To calibrate temperature and humidity:

  1. In normal mode, press and hold [ / CAL] for 2 seconds to enter calibration mode.
  2. Press [+] or [-] to select the channel (IN or any CH).
  3. Press [MODE / ALARM] to select Temperature or Humidity.
  4. While the value is blinking, press [+] or [-] to adjust the offset.
  5. When finished, press [MODE / ALARM] to proceed to the next calibration step (repeat steps 2-4).
  6. Press [ / CAL] to return to normal mode.

Back Light

Adjust the main unit's backlight brightness using the [HI / LO] sliding switch:

  • Slide to [HI] for brighter light.
  • Slide to [LO] for dimmer light.

Set LCD Display Contrast

In normal mode, press the [ / CAL] key to adjust LCD contrast for optimal viewing on a table stand or wall mount.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

When the "? [Low battery indicator]" is displayed in the CH section of the LCD, the sensor battery is low. Replace with new batteries.

Troubleshooting

ProblemsSolution
Indoor wireless sensor is intermittent or no connection1. Ensure the sensor is within transmission range.
2. Verify the displayed channel matches the sensor's channel selection.
3. If issues persist, reset the sensor and resynchronize with the console.
No WI-FI connection1. Check for the Wi-Fi symbol on the display; it should be continuously on.
2. Ensure connection to a 2.4G band, not a 5G band, of your Wi-Fi router.
Temperature or humidity not accurate1. Avoid placing the console or sensor near heat sources.
2. If the sensor remains inaccurate, adjust the value in calibration mode.
