ICOM RS-MS1A Android Application Guide

About the RS-MS1A

The ICOM RS-MS1A is an Android application designed to enhance compatible ICOM transceivers. It enables extended D-STAR functions, allowing users to exchange images and messages, and display D-PRS station data on a map.

System Requirements

Requires an Android device (version 5.0 or later) with USB host or Bluetooth functionality. Tested with Android 5.x.x to 10.0.

Key Features

DR Function: Configure [FROM] and [TO] settings.
Share Pictures: Transmit and receive images.
Text Messaging: Send and view text messages.
Map Integration: View repeater/caller locations and set DR parameters.
Offline Map: Access maps without an internet connection.
RX History: Log and view received call data.
Call Sign Management: Manage Your (UR) call signs.
Data Import/Export: Handle repeater lists and call sign memories.

Compatible Transceivers

Supports ICOM models including ID-31A/E, ID-4100A/E, ID-51A/E series, ID-52A/E, IC-705, IC-9700, and IC-7100. Functionality may depend on transceiver firmware.

Operating Notes
