DIP Switch DP-DL02D [EUM -C] 3 1.4 About EDX/ DM X-512 W iring The digital signal wiring is basically the same as RS-485 wiring. If you are not familiar wit h RS-485 wiring,please check EDX/ DM X-512 wiring guide on Lite-Puter's website: http://www.liteputer.com.tw/tech_guide.asp DP-DL02D [EUM -C] 4 1.5 System Diagram 1.5.1 EDX to DALI System DP-DL02D [EUM -C] 5 1.5.2 DMX-512 to DALI System DP-DL02D [EUM -C] 6 2 Operation 2-1 DM X-512 to DALI Broadcasting You can convert a channel level of DM X-512 t o DALI broadcast ing. To enable broadcast ing, please t urn DIP-8 t o ON. By enabling DM X-512 t o DALI broadcast ing feat ure, t he DM X channel number which convert t o DALI command is det ermined by DIP 1-7. The number configuration is based on BCD code. Each sw itch on DIP switch represent s as follow ing figure. For example, if you want t o convert t he level of DM X channel 1 t o DALI broadcasting: DP-DL02D [EUM -C] 7 For example, if you want t o convert t he level of DM X channel 5 t o DALI broadcasting: 1+ 4 = 5 For example, if you want t o convert t he level of DM X channel 10 t o DALI broadcasting: 2 + 8 = 10 Please note that DMX-to-DALI patch is invalid if DALI broadcasting feature is enabled. DP-DL02D [EUM -C] 8 3 EDX to DALI GUI (EDX-2-DALI) "EDX-2-DALI" is an application to configure DP-DL02D. Please download EDX-2-DALI app on Liteputer's website: https://www.liteputer.com.tw/download-app-en/ 3.1 Install EDX-2-DALI Install "EDX-2-DALI" application in Windows 3.2 Connect to EDX to Ethernet Interface Run t he applicat ion DP-DL02D [EUM -C] 9 Click " Search" t o search the device on t he network. If DP-DL02D is on t he net work, it will show in t he list . Click "Add" t o add it . If the IP address of DP-DL02D is not valid (for exam ple, your local IP are 192.168.0.xxx, but IP address of DP-DL02D is 192.168.3.xxx), you might click "config" butt on t o change t he IP. Ot herwise, you cannot connect t o DP-DL02D even t hough you are able t o see it in t he list. DP-DL02D [EUM -C] 10 Once DP-DL02D is in t he gatew ay list , click it t o connect t o DP-DL02D If DP-DL02D is connect ed, t he main menu shows: DP-DL02D [EUM -C] 11 3.3 DALI Address Setting Click " DALI Address Setting" in t he main menu to ent er In DALI Address Setting, you're able to search all DALI devices on DALI bus Search Mode New Installation: All short address of DALI devices will be cleared. Expansion: If the DALI device already have a short address before, the short address will keep the same. If some DALI devices are previously addressed and some DALI devices are not addressed yet, please select "Expansion" and then click "Search". The newly installed devices will be addressed and the previous devices addresses will keep the same. Select t he DALI port and the search m ode, and t hen click " START" t o start searching. The searching process w ill take longer time if t here are more DALI devices on t he DALI bus. Once searching process is done, you are able t o see all DALI devices in t he list below : You can click " ON/ OFF" t o t urn ON/ OFF t he DALI device. Or click " TEST" t o keep t urning on/ off of a DALI device. Click " CONFIG" t o change t he short address of t he DALI device. DP-DL02D [EUM -C] 12 3.4 DALI Command Click " DALI Command" in t he main menu t o ent er You're able t o send DALI dimming commands direct ly t o t he DALI bus DP-DL02D [EUM -C] 13 3.5 DALI Device Setting Click " DALI Device Sett ing" in t he main menu t o ent er It is possible t o configure t he paramet ers of a DALI device here. Click " READ" t o read t he parameters. Click " Save" icon t o save t o t he corresponding paramet er. DP-DL02D [EUM -C] 14 M ax Level: t he maxim um out put level M in Level: t he minimum out put level Power-On Level: t he out put level when power is supplied Syst em Failure Level: t he out put level when syst em fails Fade Time: t he t ime t o change from current out put level t o requested out put level. DP-DL02D [EUM -C] 16 3.7 DALI Scene Advanced Click " DALI Scene Advanced" in t he main menu t o ent er In t his page, you're able t o configure the scene of mult iple DALI devices at once. Please note t hat you must search DALI device (please check 3.3) at first. Ot herwise, you're unable t o see any dimming sliders in t his page by checking " Only Display Short Addresses Found". By unchecking " Only Display Short Address Found", you can configure DALI scenes for DALI short 0-63 wit hout searching at first. But it will take longer time to save scene to non-exist ing DALI devices. DP-DL02D [EUM -C] 17 Example: storing 100%, 75%, 50%, 25% to DALI short address 0-3 correspondingly: 1. Set t he slider of DALI 0-3 t o 100%, 75%, 50%, 15%: 2. Click " Writ e" t o save t he scenes: DP-DL02D [EUM -C] 18 3.8 DM X-to-DALI Patch Click " DM X-t o-DALI Patch" in t he main menu t o ent er It is able t o determine t he mapping bet ween DM X-512 and DALI short address. Please note that DMX-to-DALI patch is invalid if DALI broadcasting feature is enabled. By default , DM X-512 address 01 is mapping t o DALI short address 0, DM X-512 address 02 is m apping t o DALI short address 1, and so on. You can change t he mapping in t his page. DP-DL02D [EUM -C] 19 Example: M ake DALI short address 0,1,2 controlled by DM X-512 address1 Click " Writ e" t o save t he sett ing DP-DL02D [EUM -C] 20 3.9 EDX-to-DALI Patch Click " EDX-t o-DALI Patch" in t he main menu t o ent er It is able t o determine t he mapping bet ween EDX zone/ channels and DALI short address. Example: M ake DALI short address 0 patched to EDX zone 2/ channel 3 EDX's zone2/ channel3 command will control DALI device wit h short address 0 EDX's zone2 scene command will t rigger t he corresponding scene in DALI devices whose short address is 0. DP-DL02D [EUM -C] 21 Limited Warranty 1. Lite-Put er is only responsible for the product it self. 2. Lite-Put er warrant s t o repair any manufact uring defect s wit hin one year of distribut ion dat e. 3. Lite-Put er does not offer on-sit e service. Should a defect appear in Lit e-Put er' s product , please deliver t he product t o local dist ribut ors or Taiwan Headquarters. 4. This Limit ed Warrant y does not cover: a. Any fault caused by false usage or im prudence (collision, inadequat e installation or adjustment , insufficient ventilat ion, or improper repairs) b. Force majeure fact ors (flooding, eart hquake, volcanic erupt ion, or ot her fact ors beyond Lit e-Puter' s cont rol). c. Labor cost s incurred in diagnosis of defect s; installation, reinstallat ion, wiring, rewiring, repairing, adjustment , or reprogramming of a product ; or any ot her consequential expenses. d.
