Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of a product with Intelbras quality and safety. The IVP 1000 Pet SF motion sensor features passive infrared ray detection technology with advanced signal analysis technology that prevents accidental triggering.
Care and Safety
This product is intended for INDOOR environments.
Do not use in environments with direct sunlight or sunlight reflections.
Avoid areas with sudden temperature changes (air conditioners, heaters, fans, refrigerators, ovens).
Do not place objects in front of the sensor that could block the scan area (curtains, screens).
Avoid touching the PIR surface; use a soft cloth for cleaning if necessary.
Wireless communication may be impaired in environments with high power radiation (e.g., near TV towers, radio stations, routers).
The Pet function is designed for crawling animals weighing up to 20 kg. Note that if an animal is on a bench, the Pet function may be canceled.
The sensor must be installed where a possible intruder can be easily detected, with movement across the sensor's detection beams.
The recommended installation height is between 2.0 and 2.40 meters. Deviating from this height may impair detection and Pet function immunity.
LGPD – General Personal Data Protection Law: Intelbras does not access, transfer, capture, or perform any other type of processing of personal data from this product.
Detection Range
Scan (top view): The sensor provides a 90° detection angle.
Visual representation shows a fan-shaped detection area originating from the sensor, extending outwards with increasing width up to approximately 12 meters.
Detection range (side view): The recommended installation height is between 1.2 and 2.40 meters.
Visual representation shows detection zones at different distances from the sensor, illustrating how the detection capability varies with height and distance for both people and pets (up to 20kg).

3. Product Overview
The product consists of the following components:
- 1. Cabinet
- 2. Fresnel lens
- 3. PROG button
- 4. Sensitivity selector switch
- 5. Red LED
- 6. Pyro sensor
- 7. Battery
- 8. Antenna
A diagram shows the external view of the sensor unit with labels 1 and 2, and the internal components labeled 3 through 8, including the PROG button, sensitivity switch, LED, pyro sensor, battery compartment, and antenna.
4. Installation
The sensor must be installed on a flat, fixed, flicker-free surface at a height between 2.0 and 2.4 meters. Installing the sensor parallel to the wall is recommended for the greatest detection range. Tilting the sensor or using an articulator may impair its detection range and Pet function.
Installation Procedure:
- Open the sensor front cover using a screwdriver or similar tool.
- Insert the battery, observing the polarity indicated on the product plate. The LED will blink for a few seconds (stabilization time). Once the LED turns off, the sensor is in normal operation.
- Note: Do not register the sensor in the central unit during the stabilization time; wait for it to start working.
- To register the sensor code in the alarm control panel, refer to the manual of the used alarm control panel. Trigger a trip or press the PROG button located on the sensor board.
Mounting:
Diagrams show screw locations for wall mounting, including seals for wall mounting and seals for installation in corners.
Close the case by snapping the top of the front cover first, then descending perpendicularly towards the bottom of the sensor.
Important: The IVP 1000 Pet SF is designed for indoor and closed areas and for animals up to 20 kg. Do not use it for protection of outdoor or open areas, or with animals weighing more than 20 kg.
5. Sensitivity Setting
The sensor features a selector switch for sensitivity adjustment, allowing selection between three detection levels:
- 1P: Maximum sensitivity for motion detection.
- 2P: Medium sensitivity (factory default).
- 3P: Minimum sensitivity for greater robustness against false triggers.
A diagram shows the internal components of the sensor with a switch labeled "CH1 1P2P3P" and "PROG", indicating the sensitivity settings 1P, 2P, 3P.
6. Operation
Upon energizing, the sensor runs in test mode for 15 minutes, allowing for positioning adjustments. During this period, the LED lights up and a trigger is generated upon any motion detection.
After the test mode, the sensor enters economic operating mode. When movement is detected, the LED turns on, a trigger is generated, and the sensor enters hibernation for a period of 30 seconds to 2 minutes, depending on the environment's movement level. During this sleep period, the LED is not activated, and no new triggers are generated, as a notification has already been sent to the control panel.
After the sleep time, the sensor resumes monitoring the environment for new movements. This adaptive capability helps save battery by generating periodic, non-continuous signals in high-movement areas.
A timeline illustrates the operation: Initial state (LED blinking, no detection) -> Test mode (15 min, LED on, trigger on motion) -> First movement detection (LED on, trigger, sleep period) -> Sleep period (LED off, no triggers, 30 sec - 2 min) -> Hibernation time ends, sensor returns to detect and generate triggers, starting the cycle again.
7. Test
Once installed and energized, walk through the area to be protected, simulating a possible intrusion. Observe if the sensor detects your movements by lighting the LED. Adjust sensitivity or reposition the sensor installation if necessary.
A diagram shows a person walking within the detection beams of the sensor, illustrating the test procedure.
8. Low Battery Sensor
The IVP 1000 Pet SF sensor monitors the battery level. If the voltage drops to or below 2.5V, it sends a low battery notification to the control panel during triggering. Additionally, the sensor's LED will flash after each activation, indicating low battery.
Use only quality batteries of the correct size (CR123A 3V). The expected battery life is 1 to 2 years, which can be influenced by activation frequency, environmental conditions, and settings. One battery is required per sensor.
9. Battery Replacement
To replace the product's battery:
- Remove the dead battery.
- Press the PROG button or wait a few seconds for the circuit to completely discharge.
- Connect the new battery.
