Installation Instructions
Applicability:
- INT version: Model 3 (2017-2020.10)
- AMD version: Model 3 (2021-2023.7), Model Y (2020-2025.2)
- Highland Model 3: Applicable (23.8+)
- Model Y Juniper: Applicable (25.3+)
The installation method is as follows ⬇️
INT/AMD Version Installation
- Remove the door edge strip and pry open the baffle. Image shows a hand using a plastic trim tool to pry open a door edge strip.
- Pry open the snap. Image shows a hand prying a snap connector.
- Remove the guard plate. Image shows a hand removing a plastic guard plate from the car interior.
- Plug in the corresponding OBD power cord properly. Note: The INT version has only one plug. Image shows a hand plugging a wire harness into an OBD port.
- Thread the wire. Pull the wrapped wire over. Image shows a hand guiding a wire harness through a car panel.
- Connect the connecting wires properly, organize the wires, and cover the baffle. Image shows hands connecting multiple wire harnesses and tidying them up.
- Find 3 centimeters away from the air outlet. Image shows a hand indicating a measurement point 3cm from a car's air outlet.
- Break open the baffle a little and insert the light strip. Image shows a hand inserting a light strip into a small gap in a car panel.
- Push it all the way along the air outlet, align the edges and press it in place. Image shows a hand pushing the light strip along the air outlet trim.
- Effect after installation. Image shows the installed light strip glowing along the air outlet.
Highland/Juniper Version Installation
- Find 3 centimeters away from the air outlet. Image shows a hand indicating a measurement point 3cm from a car's air outlet.
- Tear off the adhesive tape and break the baffle a little. Image shows a hand peeling adhesive tape and prying a panel slightly.
- Stick it all the way along the air outlet. Image shows a hand adhering the light strip along the car's air outlet.
- Align along the edges and press to fix. Image shows a hand pressing the light strip to secure it along the edge.
- When prying open one side of the baffle, there is no need to fully open it. Image shows a hand partially prying open a car panel.
- Remove the door edge strip and pry open the baffle. Image shows a hand removing a door edge strip and prying open the panel.
- Remove the door edge strip and pry open the baffle. Image shows a hand removing a door edge strip and prying open the panel.
- Thread the wire. Pull the wrapped wire over. Image shows a hand guiding a wire harness through a car panel.
- Connect the connecting wires properly, organize the wires, and cover the baffle. Image shows hands connecting multiple wire harnesses and tidying them up.
- Remove the latch and find the connection socket. Image shows a hand removing a latch to access a wire connection socket.
- Unplug the pin and connect our module back. Image shows a hand unplugging a connector and connecting a module.
- Power-on test. Image shows a hand holding a connector for a power-on test.
- Hide the lines well and reinstall them step by step. Image shows a hand tucking wires neatly into place.
- Effect after installation. Image shows the installed light strip glowing along the air outlet.
Troubleshooting Guide
Problem | Reason | Solution |
---|---|---|
The light strip is not working | The plug is not installed properly | Check the position of the plug according to the installation video. |
Some of the light strips are not lit | It was pulled and bent | The light strip is made of soft silicone with built-in LED beads. Do not pull or bend it forcefully to avoid damaging the light strip. |
