06. Care and Maintenance
Nomad Alpha Bluetooth speaker is intended to be used both indoors and outdoors. The speaker has been tested to IP67 waterproofing and dustproofing standards. IP67 standard allows Nomad Alpha to be submerged in water up to 1 metre for 30 minutes without any damage. However, Nomad Alpha is not intended for constant underwater use. Close the side panel cap properly before use (see Locking side panel cap section). If Nomad Alpha is placed in water without the cap securely closed, water will enter Nomad Alpha and void the warranty.
Always make sure the side panel cap is clean, free of any debris and correctly fitted. The speaker will only meet IP67 ratings when the side panel cap is properly locked and sealed. Included USB cables are NOT waterproof.
If you notice a muffling of audio after submersion, gently shake Nomad Alpha to clear excess water. If your speaker is exposed to saltwater clean it thoroughly after use with fresh water. Do not apply excessive force to any surfaces of Nomad Alpha when it is wet or in a wet environment.
Check the rubber seal periodically for premature wear and clean Nomad Alpha with a soft moist cloth and ensure no objects such as dirt, hair, sand are on the rubber seal ring. Do not use any oily solvents or chemicals for cleaning.

07. Important Safety Information
1. Do not attempt to charge Nomad Alpha when it is wet, or you suspect water has seeped into Nomad Alpha. Thoroughly dry Nomad Alpha and make sure all connections are dry before attempting to open the side panel cap and connect to a USB cable or power source. Failure to do so may result in electrical shock, fire or electrical damage to Nomad Alpha and may void the warranty.
2. Do not use Nomad Alpha when you are charging the battery.
3. Do not use Nomad Alpha near any open fire, heat source or excessive heat.
4. Do not open to modify, repair or remove any original component of Nomad Alpha. A qualified technician must carry out repair work. Do not remove the built-in battery or the grill cover. Doing so could cause damage to Nomad Alpha and allow water to enter.
5. Sound levels should be appropriate to your environment and comply with all local regulations. Ensure that you can hear and are aware of any potential hazards around you when you are enjoying your Nomad Alpha.
6. For approximately 5% of people with epilepsy, exposure to flashing or flickering lights can trigger seizures (Source: Epilepsy action Australia). The strobe light function in this device may potentially trigger seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy. User discretion is advised.
