Mounting

Choose a location that is easily accessible, well-ventilated, and protected from direct sunlight and excessive moisture. Use the supplied mounting bracket and hardware. Ensure the unit is securely fastened.

Power Connection

Connect the DC power cable to a stable 13.8 V DC power source. Ensure correct polarity (+/-). A fuse is incorporated in the power cable for protection.

Antenna Connection

Connect a suitable marine VHF antenna to the antenna connector on the rear panel. Ensure the antenna is properly tuned for the operating frequency band.

Operation

Powering On/Off

Press and hold the [POWER] button to turn the transceiver ON or OFF. The unit will perform a self-check.

Volume and Squelch Adjustment

Use the [VOLUME] knob to adjust the audio output level. Use the [SQL] (Squelch) knob to set the threshold for receiving signals, minimizing background noise.

Channel Selection

Use the [UP]/[DOWN] buttons or the rotary encoder to select the desired channel. The current channel number is displayed on the LCD.

Dualwatch Function

Press the [DUAL] button to activate Dualwatch mode. The transceiver alternately monitors the selected working channel and Channel 16. Press the [DUAL] button again to deactivate.

Scan Function

Press the [SCAN] button to initiate a scan of programmed memory channels or priority channels. Press again to stop scanning.

Troubleshooting

Problem	Possible Cause	Solution
No sound from speaker	Volume is set too low.	Increase the volume using the [VOLUME] knob.
Cannot transmit	PTT button not pressed. Microphone muted. Incorrect channel selected.	Press the PTT button firmly. Check microphone mute status. Ensure you are on a transmit-enabled channel.
Unit does not power on	No power supply. Incorrect polarity. Blown fuse.	Check DC power cable connections and voltage. Verify correct polarity (+/-). Check the fuse in the power cable.
Intermittent reception	Squelch level too high or too low. Antenna issue.	Adjust the squelch level. Check antenna connection and condition.
