1.4 Weather Station Appearance

The weather station features a main display unit and a wireless outdoor sensor. The main unit has a front display with various readouts and buttons on the back. The outdoor sensor is a compact unit designed for external placement.

2. Initial Operation and Notes

2.1 Initial Operation

To begin, open the battery compartments of both the weather station and the wireless remote sensor. Insert 2 x AA batteries into each, observing the correct polarity (+ and -). Close the battery compartments.

Upon connecting power, all icons on the LCD display will illuminate for 3 seconds, accompanied by a beep. The station will then begin detecting indoor temperature and humidity. It will also attempt to connect to the outdoor sensor, a process that takes about 3 minutes, indicated by a flashing RF icon.

Once connected to the outdoor sensor, the clock will automatically search for a DCF signal to set the time and date. A radio mast icon will flash during this search, which may take up to 7 minutes.

2.2 Notes for Customer before Use

During DCF signal search mode, only the [Snooze/Light] and [Set] buttons are functional. Backlight will not remain active. Pressing the [Set] button can cancel the DCF signal search, activating all buttons and backlight.

If the weather station fails to receive transmission from the outdoor sensor (indicated by "--"), press and hold the [Set] button for 3 seconds to initiate manual reception. The RF icon will flash, and the station will attempt to re-receive data. Alternatively, open the sensor's battery compartment and press the TX button to re-establish the connection.

3. Time, Time Zone and Calendar Setting

3.1 Manual Time Setting

Press [Mode] to confirm and exit the setting procedure.

Note: If no button is pressed for 20 seconds, the clock will automatically switch from setting mode to normal display mode.

Ensure the time zone is set correctly for your location; otherwise, the time may be inaccurate after receiving the signal.

3.2 Automatic Time Setting

The weather station automatically searches for the DCF signal for up to 7 minutes after a restart or battery change. You can also manually initiate the DCF signal search by pressing and holding the [Mode] button for 2 seconds.

The radio mast icon [Radio Tower Symbol] will flash during the search. Once the signal is acquired, the time and date will be set automatically. If no signal is found within 7 minutes, the icon will disappear, and the search will resume automatically in 1 hour.

At 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00 AM, the station synchronizes with the DCF signal to correct any time deviations. If synchronization fails (radio mast icon disappears), it will retry at the next hour, up to five times.

For Your Information (FYI):

4. Daily Alarm and Snooze Function Setting

When the alarm rings, press any button except [Snooze/Light] to stop the alarm signal. The alarm does not need to be reactivated; it automatically resets to the previously set alarm time.

4.3 Snooze Function

Touch the [Snooze/Light] field or press the [Snooze/Light] button to activate the snooze mode. The alarm will sound again after approximately 5 minutes.

5. Weather Forecast and Barometric Pressure

5.1 Weather Forecast

The weather station calculates an approximate 8-hour weather forecast based on barometric pressure trends. This forecast is a general indication and should be supplemented by local weather services for greater accuracy. Discrepancies between the station's forecast and local services should be resolved by following the local service's advice.

The weather station displays the following icons for the next 8-hour forecast (not current weather):

Forecast Icons: [Sun Icon] Sunny, [Partly Cloudy Icon] Slightly cloudy, [Cloudy Icon] Cloudy, [Rain Icon] Rainy, [Heavy Rain Icon] Heavy rainy, [Snow Icon] Snowy.

5.2 Barometric Pressure Display

The current barometric pressure is displayed automatically once readings are received. Press and hold the [Pressure/Trend] button for 2 seconds to enter settings. The pressure units will flash. Use the [▲] and [▼] buttons to select between "hPa/mb" or "inHg".

If the pressure reading is below the minimum range, "LLLL" will be displayed. If it's above the maximum range, "HHHH" will be displayed.

5.3 Barometric Trend Display

The station indicates the barometric pressure trend with the following symbols next to the weather forecast icon:

6. Lunar Phases and Tide Indicator

The weather station displays 12 different moon phases and 3 tide phases according to the set calendar.

Moon Phases: New moon, Waxing crescent, First quarter, Waxing gibbous, Full moon, Waning gibbous, Third quarter, Waning crescent.

The temperature can be displayed in °C or °F. Briefly press the [Mode] button to switch between modes.

7.2 Current Temperature and Temperature Trend Display

After inserting batteries, the station measures the current temperature. The trend display shows a neutral temperature course.

The trend is determined as follows:

7.3 Outdoor Temperature & Frost Alert Settings

Press and hold the [Alert] button for 2 seconds until the temperature alert icon flashes. The upper limit icon will flash. Use [▲] and [▼] to set the maximum temperature, then press [Alert] to confirm. The lower limit icon will flash. Use [▲] and [▼] to set the minimum temperature, then press [Alert] to confirm and exit.

FYI: Before setup, select the remote channel. Different channels can have different temperature alarm ranges.

7.4 Activating and Deactivating Temperature & Frost Alert

Press the [Alert] button to activate or deactivate the remote temperature alert. When active, the temperature alarm icon appears in the remote sensor bar.

If the remote channel temperature exceeds the set range, the alarm will activate. The station will sound a continuous alarm for one minute, five times. The temperature alarm icon will flash. If the alarm is triggered by the currently displayed temperature, the temperature value and the upper or lower limit icon will also flash.

When the remote sensor temperature is between +30°F and +37°F (or -1°C to +3°C), the frost alarm will activate, and the [Frost Icon] will flash.

FYI:

7.5 Comfort Display

The trend is determined as follows:

7.7 Maximum/Minimum Temperature and Humidity

To view indoor/outdoor maximum and minimum temperature and humidity data, press the [MEM] button:

To reset the maximum and minimum data, press and hold the [MEM] button for approximately 2 seconds. This resets all recorded data to the currently displayed values.

FYI: If the temperature reading is below the range, "LL.L" is displayed. If it's above the range, "HH.H" is displayed.

7.8 Remote Sensor Transmission

The weather station automatically starts receiving temperature and humidity data from the outdoor thermo sensor after batteries are inserted. The outdoor sensor also transmits this data automatically.

The weather station supports up to 3 wireless sensor channels. Ensure that multiple wireless sensors do not use the same channel simultaneously (channels 1, 2, and 3 are available).

Press the [Channel/Mode] key to switch between different remote temperature and humidity channels. When the [Auto Scan Icon] is displayed, the channel will switch automatically every 5 seconds.

If the weather station fails to receive transmission from the outdoor sensor (indicated by "--" on the LCD), press and hold the [Channel/Mode] button for 3 seconds to initiate manual reception. The RF icon [RF Symbol] will flash, and the station will receive data from the outdoor sensor.

FYI: When setting up wireless sensors on different channels, ensure the weather station's "REMOTE SENSOR" display is set to the same channel. If no signal is transmitted on a selected channel, "--" will appear. Only one remote sensor is included; ensure the weather station is set to the same channel as the remote sensor.

8. Backlight

If powered by batteries, touch the [Snooze/Light] field to activate the backlight for 15 seconds.

If powered by the adapter, the battery is disconnected, and the backlight remains on. Press the [Brightness/Mode] button to adjust brightness through 5 levels (4 brightness settings and off). You can also touch the [Snooze/Light] field to briefly activate the backlight for 15 seconds.

9. USB Charger

When using the USB charger to power an electronic device, ensure the weather station is powered by the main adapter, not batteries only.

10. Low Battery

If the [Battery Low Icon] appears, the batteries in the outdoor sensor need to be replaced as soon as possible.
