Diagram Description: Two Wi-Fi antennas are shown. The instruction is to grip their base and tighten them. A note indicates they should be positioned at a 45-degree angle for optimal downward Wi-Fi coverage.

2. Power the AP with the PoE adapter or a PoE Switch

Option a - PoE Adapter

Connect the access point to the PoE port of the PoE adapter via your Ethernet cable. Power up the PoE Adapter.

Option b - PoE Switch

Connect the access point to a PoE port of your PoE Switch via your Ethernet cable. Power up the PoE Switch.

Diagram Description: Diagrams illustrate connecting the Access Point (AP) to either a PoE adapter or a PoE switch using an Ethernet cable. The PoE adapter has a 'PoE' port and a 'LAN' port. The PoE switch has multiple 'PoE' ports and 'LAN' ports. The AP is connected to the 'PoE' port on either device.

3. Software Configuration

Option a - Cudy Mesh

Requires a Cudy AC/Mesh unit/Mesh router with firmware newer than 15.28 as the gateway. Connect the PoE adapter or PoE switch to the LAN port of your Cudy Mesh Router. The AP will be adopted into the Mesh network and use the same Wi-Fi name and password.

Option b - Standard

Connect the PoE adapter or PoE switch to a router with Internet. Use your computer/phone to search and connect to Wi-Fi "Cudy-Outdoor" or "Cudy-Outdoor-5G" with the default password "password". Launch a browser on your device and access http://cudyap.net with the default password "admin". Follow the step-by-step instructions.

Diagram/Screenshot Description: The web interface login screen shows fields for Username (default 'admin') and Password (default 'password'), with a 'Log In' button. A subsequent 'Quick Setup' wizard is shown with steps for Mode, Timezone, WAN, Wireless, and Summary, offering options like 'Wireless Router', 'Wireless Access Point', 'Wireless Extender', and 'WISP'.

4. Check the system status via LED

5 GHz WPS: [Status indicator]

2.4 GHz Wi-Fi: [Status indicator]

2.4 GHz WPS: [Status indicator]

Diagram Description: The AP has several LEDs. The text lists the meanings: '5 GHz Wi-Fi', '5 GHz WPS', '2.4 GHz Wi-Fi', '2.4 GHz WPS'. Icons representing different states (e.g., solid, blinking) are shown next to each status.

5. Mount the AP

Mount the AP securely to a wall using the provided hardware (screws, clamp).

Diagram Description: Diagrams show the AP being attached to a wall. One shows the AP being placed against the wall, with screws going through mounting holes. Another shows the AP with a clamp attached, then mounted to the wall.
