1. Basic Safety Warnings
Caution! This appliance generates hot water and steam during operation. Avoid contact with hot water or steam splashes. The cup tray can become very hot during operation.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
Intended Use: This machine is designed and manufactured for preparing coffee, milk-based, and hot water drinks. Only use potable water in the tank. Do not use accessories for purposes not described in the instructions. Any other use is considered improper and therefore dangerous. The manufacturer is not liable for damage caused by improper use.
Hot surfaces: Parts of the appliance become hot during and after operation. Ensure adequate ventilation around the machine.
Thoroughly clean all parts, especially those in contact with milk.
Do not allow children to clean or maintain the appliance unsupervised.
Do not immerse the machine in water during cleaning.
Important: To prevent damage, do not use alkaline detergents. Use a soft cloth and, if necessary, a neutral detergent.
This appliance is intended for domestic use only and is not suitable for use in places such as: shops, staff kitchens, offices, or other work environments; farmhouses, hotels, motels, or other residential environments; bed and breakfast type environments.
If the power plug or power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.
For appliances with detachable power cords: avoid splashing water on the power cord connector or socket at the back of the appliance.
Important: If the glass surface of the appliance is cracked, do not use it.
Never place the coffee machine in a cupboard or kitchen furniture during use.
Keep all packaging materials (plastic bags, polystyrene foam) away from children. Suffocation Hazard. The appliance may contain small parts. Some parts may need to be removed during cleaning and maintenance. Handle with care and keep small parts out of reach of children.
2. General Information
2.1. Instructions for Use
Read this instruction manual carefully before using the appliance. Failure to follow the instructions may result in fire or damage to the appliance. The manufacturer is not liable for damage caused by incorrect use.
Note: This safety warning applies to all De'Longhi coffee machines.
Keep this manual with the appliance for future reference. If the appliance is transferred to another person, ensure this manual is passed on with it.
3. Before Use
3.1. Checking the Machine
After unpacking, check that the appliance is intact and free from damage. Ensure all accessories are present. If the appliance is visibly damaged, do not use it and contact a De'Longhi authorized service centre.
3.2. Installing the Machine
When installing the machine, pay attention to the following safety warnings:
- The appliance emits hot air. Ensure at least 3 cm of space around the sides and back of the machine, and at least 15 cm of space above the coffee machine.
- Do not place the machine near water taps or sinks.
- If water freezes in the machine, it can be damaged. Do not place the machine in a room where the temperature may fall below freezing.
- Do not route the power cord over sharp edges or allow it to come into contact with hot surfaces (e.g., hotplates), as this could damage the cord.
3.3. Connecting the Machine
Check that the mains voltage matches the voltage indicated on the rating plate of the appliance. Connect the machine to an earthed socket that is correctly installed and has a minimum rating of 10A. If the socket and appliance plug are incompatible, the socket must be replaced by a qualified technician.
3.4. Setting up the Machine
When using the coffee machine for the first time, the water circuit is empty, causing it to be noisy. This noise will decrease as the water fills the circuit.
3.5. Water Usage Recommendations
- We recommend using potable water.
- Do not use carbonated water.
3.6. Cleaning and Maintenance of Food-Contact Parts
When using the appliance for the first time or after a period of inactivity (over 3 days), rinse all removable parts that come into contact with water, coffee, or milk. Refer to the instructions to see which parts are dishwasher-safe.
If the appliance has not been used for more than 3 days, change the water in the tank and rinse the circuits before preparing drinks. It is recommended to empty the tank if the appliance has been unused for more than 3 days.
When the indicator lights on the control panel prompt you, perform automatic cleaning or maintenance operations as instructed.
3.7. Making Cappuccino and Milk-Based Drinks
- The machine can be used with milk or plant-based milk.
- Do not use raw milk.
- Use pasteurized or UHT milk and store it according to the manufacturer's instructions.
The cleaning methods described in this manual do not guarantee complete removal of allergens.
Before preparing any type of drink, ensure that the machine has not been used with a type of milk or plant-based milk to which you may be allergic or intolerant.
Unused milk or plant-based milk in the carafe can be stored in the refrigerator for a maximum of 2 days, following the storage instructions provided by the beverage manufacturer. If the milk carafe is not returned to the refrigerator, empty the contents and clean as instructed.
4. Introduction
Before use, take a few minutes to read this 'User Manual' to avoid various hazards and damage to the machine. The indicator lights help you use the machine's functions correctly:
- Off: Off
- Solid Light: Function is available
- Flashing Light: Function is in use
- Fast Flashing Light: User action required
The same symbols are used in the quick guide.

4.2. Troubleshooting and Maintenance
In case of malfunction, first try to resolve the problem by consulting Section '20. Indicator Light Description' and Section '21. Troubleshooting'.

6. First Use of the Machine
Note:
- When using the machine for the first time, all parts that come into contact with water, coffee, or milk should be rinsed with hot water.
The coffee machine undergoes testing before leaving the factory, so it is normal to find some coffee powder residue in the grinder and machine. This indicates the care and attention invested in the product.
When using the coffee machine for the first time, the water circuit is empty, causing it to be noisy. This noise will decrease as the water fills the circuit.
When starting the machine for the first time, ensure the hot water spout (D5) is installed.
- Connect the coffee machine to the power supply (Fig. 1).
- The indicator light (C2) on the control panel will light up (Fig. 2). Remove the water tank (A9) (Fig. 3), fill it with drinking water up to the MAX level (Fig. 4), and then replace it in the coffee machine.
- The machine's setting menu lights (B2) will flash rapidly.
- Place a container under the coffee outlet (A16) and the hot water spout (D5) (Fig. 5).
- Press the button (Fig. 6). The internal water circuit will start to fill. The coffee machine will dispense hot water from the hot water spout and then from the coffee outlet. The machine is ready for use when the water flow stops.
Note:
- When using the machine for the first time, it is recommended to make 4-5 cappuccinos to achieve satisfactory results.
- It is recommended to install the water softener filter immediately, even if the warning light (C1) is not illuminated. Replace or remove the filter two months after the date indicated (see date indicator) or after three weeks of non-use.
- Set the water hardness as soon as possible (see Section '8. Testing Water Hardness').
7. Water Softener Filter
To ensure the machine's performance and longevity, it is recommended to use De'Longhi water softener filters and replace them regularly.
Follow these instructions for correct use:
- Remove the water softener filter from its packaging and set the date dial to two months after the current month (Fig. 7).
- Activate the water softener filter by running drinking water through the central hole of the filter until water flows from the side opening for over a minute (Fig. 8).
- Remove the water tank (A9) from the machine, fill it with drinking water, and insert the water softener filter. Submerge it completely for about ten seconds, pressing gently and tilting to release any air bubbles (Fig. 9).
- Insert the water softener filter into its designated position in the water tank and press down firmly (Fig. 10).
- Replace the water tank lid (A8), then place the water tank back into the machine.
- Install the hot water spout (D5).
- Place a container of at least 0.5 litres under the hot water spout (Fig. 5).
- Refer to Section '15. Settings Menu' to install the water softener filter.
- The water softener filter indicator light (C1) will flash on the control panel, and the milk carafe cleaning menu light (B4) will flash rapidly.
- Press the milk carafe cleaning menu button to set up the water softener filter (Fig. 11).
8. Testing Water Hardness
Setting the water hardness will allow the machine to optimize the descaling frequency. The descaling indicator light (C5) will illuminate when necessary, based on the local water hardness.
Follow these steps:
- If your model is equipped with a water hardness test strip (D1), remove it from the packaging.
- Immerse the test strip completely in water for approximately 1 second (Fig. 12).
- Remove the test strip from the water and shake it gently (Fig. 13). After about one minute, red squares will appear, indicating the water hardness level (1, 2, 3, or 4). Each square represents a level.

11. The machine will start dispensing hot water and then stop automatically.
12. When the hot water stops, the water softener filter indicator will turn off, indicating the filter is activated and the machine is ready for use.
Note:
- If the indicator light (B4) flashes rapidly, press the button. This will prime the internal circuit, release air bubbles, and continue the installation.
- After installation, the drink indicator lights will flash, indicating the machine is heating up and preparing for normal use.
7.1. Replacing Water Softener Filter
Replace the water softener filter (D4) when the indicator light (C1) illuminates.
- Remove the water tank (A9) and the old water softener filter.
- Reinstall the new water softener filter as described previously.
- Set up the machine according to the instructions in Section '7. Water Softener Filter', repeating steps 9-12.
Note: Replace the filter according to the date indicator on the filter, or every three weeks if the machine has not been used, even if the control panel does not indicate replacement.
7.2. Removing Water Softener Filter
If you do not wish to use the water softener filter, you must remove it and set the machine accordingly.
- Remove the water tank (A9) and the installed water softener filter.
- Set up the machine according to the instructions in Section '15. Settings Menu' for removing the water softener filter.
9. Turning On the Machine
Caution! Hot water may dispense from the coffee outlet (A16) during rinsing. Be careful to avoid splashing hot water. To avoid frequent emptying of the drip tray (A14), place a container under the coffee outlet to collect rinse water.
- Press the On/Off button (B1). The indicator light will illuminate, and the drink indicator lights on the control panel will flash, indicating the machine is preheating.
10. Turning Off the Machine
Each time the coffee machine is turned off after use, it performs an automatic rinse cycle.
Caution! Hot water may dispense from the coffee outlet (A16) during rinsing. Be careful to avoid splashing hot water. To avoid frequent emptying of the drip tray (A14), place a container under the coffee outlet to collect rinse water.
- To turn off the machine, press the button (B1). The indicator lights on the control panel will flash, the machine will perform a rinse cycle, and then enter standby mode.
10.1. Long-Term Shutdown:
If the machine will not be used for an extended period (e.g., during a holiday), follow these steps:
- Press the On/Off button (B1) to turn off the machine. Empty and clean the coffee grounds container (A10) and the water tank (A9).
- Unplug the power cord (A7) from the socket.
Note: When turning the machine back on, fill the water tank and run 3 rinse cycles as described in Section '11.6 Rinsing' before preparing any drinks.
11. Making Coffee Drinks
11.1. Making Coffee with Coffee Beans
Important! Do not use raw, caramelized, or sugared coffee beans, as they may stick to the grinder and make it unusable.
- Fill the coffee bean hopper (A3) (Fig. 14).
- Place a cup under the coffee outlet (A16) (Fig. 15).
- Position the cup as close as possible to the coffee outlet for a more refined coffee taste (Fig. 15).
- Select the desired coffee:

- Start brewing. The corresponding indicator light on the control panel (B) will flash.
11.2. Making 2 Cups of Coffee Simultaneously with Coffee Beans
- Place cups under the coffee outlet (A16).
- Position the cups as close as possible to the coffee outlet for a more refined coffee taste.
- Press the Double Cup button (B2). The corresponding indicator light will illuminate.
- Press the Drink Menu button (B8). The indicator lights on the control panel (B) corresponding to the selected drink will flash.
11.3. Making Coffee with Pre-ground Coffee
Important! Do not add pre-ground coffee when the machine is off, as this may cause coffee powder to scatter inside the machine and damage it.
- Do not add more than 1 scoop (D2) of pre-ground coffee, as this may dirty the internal parts of the machine or clog the pre-ground coffee compartment (A4).
Note: When using pre-ground coffee, only one cup can be brewed at a time.
- Press the button (B5) repeatedly until the corresponding indicator light (B7) illuminates.
- Add one scoop of pre-ground coffee (Fig. 16). Ensure the inlet chute is not blocked.
- Place cup(s) under the coffee outlet (A16) (Fig. 15).
- Select the desired drink (B8).
- Start brewing. The corresponding indicator light on the control panel (B) will flash.
11.4. General Guidelines for Making Coffee Drinks
- During operation, indicator lights may appear on the control panel (B). Refer to Section '20. Indicator Light Description' for their meaning.
- For hotter coffee, refer to Section '11.7 Tips for Making Hotter Coffee'.
- If the coffee tastes too weak, not fine enough, brews too slowly (one drop at a time), or is too cold after making several cups, refer to Section '21. Troubleshooting'.
- For customizing drinks to your personal taste, refer to Section '11.5 Adjusting Coffee Strength' and '11.9 Customizing Cup Volume'.
Note: In energy-saving mode, the first cup of coffee may require a few seconds longer as the machine needs to reheat.
11.5. Adjusting Coffee Strength
- Press the button (B5) repeatedly until the indicator light corresponding to the desired strength lights up (B6):

- Press the button corresponding to the desired coffee strength.
Note:
- When the next cup of coffee is ready, the machine will display the last selected strength setting.
- In case of a power failure, the coffee machine will reset to the factory default setting: Normal.
11.6. Rinsing
This function dispenses hot water from the coffee outlet to clean and preheat the internal circuits.
- Place a container of at least 100 ml under the coffee outlet (A16) (Fig. 5).
- To start rinsing, press and hold the button for approximately 5 seconds. To stop rinsing midway, press the same button again; rinsing will stop automatically.
Note:
- If the coffee machine has not been used for 3-4 days, it is recommended to run 2-3 rinse cycles after restarting it before preparing drinks.
- It is normal for water to be present in the coffee grounds container (A10) after a rinse cycle.
11.7. Tips for Making Hotter Coffee
To make hotter coffee, follow these steps:
- Perform a rinse cycle (see Section '11.6 Rinsing').
- Use the hot water function to preheat your cup.
- Increase the coffee temperature (see Section '15. Settings Menu').
11.8. Adjusting the Coffee Grinder
The coffee grinder is factory set and does not require adjustment for initial use.
Note:
The adjustment knob can only be adjusted while the coffee grinder is operating. If adjustment is required, turn the knob (A2) while the grinder is running, following the steps below:
- If coffee flow is too slow or does not flow at all: Turn towards '7'.
- If coffee flow is too fast: Turn towards '1'.
- Note: The effect of the adjustment will only be apparent after making at least two cups of coffee.
11.9. Customizing Cup Volume
- Press and hold the desired drink button for a few seconds. When the indicator light flashes rapidly, the setting mode is activated, and the drink begins to dispense.
- When the desired volume is reached, press the drink button again. The drink will stop dispensing, and the cup volume setting will be memorized.
Note: If you wish to cancel the current setting during the setting process, press another drink button.
12. Making Milk-Based Coffee Drinks
Note:
- Before using the milk carafe, check that all components have been cleaned and assembled as described in '17. Cleaning Milk Carafe'.
To ensure milk does not froth excessively or produce large bubbles, clean the milk carafe lid (E2) and milk carafe connector (E3) as described in '12.6 Cleaning Milk Carafe After Use' and '17. Cleaning Milk Carafe'.
12.1. Type of Milk to Use
The quality of the milk foam depends on the following factors:
- The temperature of the milk or plant-based milk used (for best results, use milk or plant-based milk at approximately 5°C).
- The type of milk or plant-based milk.
- The brand used.
- Its composition and nutritional value.

Note: When using plant-based milk, for optimal results, choose products specifically designed for barista use to optimize foam quality.
12.2. Amount of Milk Required
The markings on the milk carafe (E7) help you add the ideal amount of milk (Fig. 17). Each mark corresponds to approximately 20 ml of milk. The 'MIN' mark indicates the minimum amount of milk required for a drink (refer to Section '12.7 Customizing Cup Volume').
Note:
- The recipe may vary slightly depending on the type and temperature of the milk used.
- If there is insufficient milk in the carafe, the milk outlet tube may dispense dry steam.
12.3. Filling and Installing the Milk Carafe
- Press the milk carafe connector release button (E4) and open the milk carafe lid (E2) (Fig. 18).
- Pour the required amount of milk into the milk carafe (E7) (see Fig. 17 and 19).
- Ensure the milk suction tube (E8) is correctly attached to the socket on the underside of the milk carafe lid (see Fig. 20).
- Replace the milk carafe lid.
- Connect the milk carafe connector to the milk carafe/hot water spout connector. Push it in fully (Fig. 21). The coffee machine will emit a beep (if the beep function is enabled).
12.4. Selecting Coffee Strength or Using Pre-ground Coffee
Before selecting milk-based drinks, you can adjust the coffee strength according to Section '11.5 Adjusting Coffee Strength', or use pre-ground coffee and add one scoop as indicated in Section '11.3 Making Coffee with Pre-ground Coffee'.
12.5. Making Milk-Based Drinks
- Place a cup of suitable size under the coffee outlet (A16) and the milk frothing tube (E6) (Fig. 22).
- Ensure the frothing/cleaning knob (E1) is set to the frothing position (☕).
- Select the milk-based drink from the control panel.
Note: If energy-saving mode is enabled (see Section '15. Settings Menu'), there may be a few seconds delay before dispensing the drink.
12.6. Cleaning the Milk Carafe After Use
After each milk-based drink, the milk carafe cleaning menu indicator light (B4) will flash (Fig. 23).
- Leave the milk carafe on the coffee machine (no need to empty).
- Place a cup or container under the milk frothing tube (Fig. 24).
- Press the button for hot water and steam. The rinse cycle will start and stop automatically.
When making multiple drinks in succession:
- After making the last drink, clean the milk carafe immediately. If the milk level in the carafe decreases or is insufficient for further drinks, disassemble and clean all parts as described in '17. Cleaning Milk Carafe'.
- If there is still enough milk in the carafe for further drinks: After performing the rinse step using the button, remove the milk carafe and place it directly in the refrigerator. It is recommended to store it in the refrigerator for no more than 2 days. After use, all parts should be cleaned as described in '17. Cleaning Milk Carafe'.
Important: If the milk carafe is left outside the refrigerator for more than 30 minutes, disassemble and clean all parts as described in '17. Cleaning Milk Carafe'.
After making milk-based drinks, please note the following:
- In some cases, the machine may require a heating period before cleaning can commence.
- Wait for the operation to complete: The cleaning function is automatic; do not interrupt the cleaning process.
12.7. Customizing Cup Volume
- Select the button for the desired milk-based drink and press and hold it for a few seconds. The drink indicator light will flash rapidly, indicating that the setting mode has been activated and the drink is starting to dispense.
- When the desired volume is reached, press the drink button again. The milk dispensing will stop, and the coffee will begin to dispense.
- When the desired coffee volume is reached, press the drink button again. The coffee dispensing will stop, and the cup volume setting will be memorized.
Note!
- If you wish to cancel the current setting during the setting process, press another drink button.
13. Making Hot Water
Caution! Do not leave the machine unattended while dispensing hot water.
- Insert the hot water spout (Fig. 25).
- Place a container under the hot water spout (Fig. 26) (as close as possible to avoid splashing).
- Press the hot water button (Fig. 26).
- Hot water will dispense and stop automatically. To stop dispensing early, press the button again.
Note: In energy-saving mode, there may be a few seconds delay before hot water is dispensed, as the machine needs to heat up.
13.1. Customizing Hot Water Volume
- Select the hot water button (⑤) and press and hold it for a few seconds. The indicator light will flash rapidly, indicating that the setting mode has been activated and hot water is starting to dispense.
- When the hot water reaches the desired level, press the hot water button again. Hot water dispensing will stop, and the custom volume setting will be memorized.

14. Energy Saving Settings
- To reduce energy consumption, you can remove the milk carafe after preparing one or more drinks.
- Set the automatic shut-off to 15 minutes (see Section '15. Settings Menu').
- Activate energy-saving mode (see Section '15. Settings Menu').
- Perform a descaling cycle when prompted by the machine.
15. Settings Menu
Press the corresponding buttons on the control panel to select the desired function:
- Coffee Temperature: Select desired temperature (1-5).
- Energy Saving Mode: Activate or deactivate energy saving mode.
- Settings:
- Water Softener Filter: Activate or deactivate the filter.
- Automatic Shut-off: Set timer for automatic shut-off (15 min, 30 min, 1 hour, 3 hours).
- Beep Sound: Enable or disable beep sound.
- Water Hardness: Set water hardness level (1-4).
(*) Number of drinks varies by model.
15.1. Resetting to Default Values
Ensure the machine is in standby mode (switched off, but connected to the power supply).
Press and hold the buttons for drinks 1 and 2 (B1 & B2) for 5 seconds. All settings and cup volumes will be reset to their default values.
The machine will emit a long beep, and all indicator lights will flash, confirming that the factory settings have been restored.
16. Cleaning the Machine
Important!
- Do not use chemical solvents, abrasive detergents, or alcohol to clean the machine. De'Longhi automatic coffee machines do not require any chemical substances for cleaning.
- Do not use metal objects to remove limescale or coffee residue, as this may scratch metal or plastic surfaces.

17. Cleaning the Milk Carafe
Important Note:
To ensure the Lattecrema automatic milk frothing system performs optimally in the long term, clean the milk carafe thoroughly and regularly.
Follow these steps to clean the milk carafe:
- Press the milk carafe connector release button (E4) and open the lid (E2) (Fig. 18).
- Rotate the milk frothing tube (E6) to a vertical position, pull it out gently (Fig. 27); remove the milk suction tube (E8) (Fig. 27).
- Rotate the milk carafe connector (E3) counter-clockwise and pull it out gently (Fig. 28).
- Rotate the frothing/cleaning knob (E1) counter-clockwise and pull it out gently (Fig. 29).
- Recommended for dishwasher or hand wash:
- Dishwasher Wash: Rinse all parts and the milk carafe with hot water (at least 40°C), then place them in the top basket of the dishwasher for cleaning.
- Hand Wash: Rinse all parts and the milk carafe with hot water (at least 40°C) to remove milk residue. Rinse all parts thoroughly with hot water. Then, immerse all parts in hot water (at least 40°C) for at least 30 minutes, adding a mild/neutral detergent. Finally, rinse all parts thoroughly with hot water.
- Rinse the milk carafe connector (E3) thoroughly (Fig. 32).
- Ensure the holes of the milk frothing adjustment knob are free of milk residue (Fig. 33). If necessary, clean with a toothpick.
- Dry all parts.
- Reassemble all parts of the milk carafe.
18. Cleaning the Brew Group
Clean the brew group (A6) regularly, recommended monthly.
Important! Do not remove the brew group (A6) while the machine is on.
- Press the On/Off button (B1) to turn off the machine.
- Wait for the machine to stop operating, then remove the water tank (A9).
- Open the brew group door on the right side of the machine (Fig. 34).
- Press and hold the two colored buttons simultaneously (Fig. 35), then pull the brew group outwards.
- Rinse the brew group under running water for 5 minutes, then rinse with clean water.
Important!
Rinse with water only.
Do not use detergents or a dishwasher to clean it.
Important: Do not use detergents to clean the brew group, as this may damage it.
Important: If a water softener filter is installed, remove it before adding descaling solution. Reinstall it during the third step of the descaling process.
When the descaling indicator light (C5) on the control panel illuminates, perform descaling. The light will flash during the descaling process.
Note:
- Do not interrupt the descaling process once it has started; it must be completed. Ensure you have enough descaling solution.
Descaling Steps:
Step 1: Start Descaling
- Ensure the hot water spout (D5) is installed.
- Press the button (B3) for at least 5 seconds until the corresponding indicator light flashes rapidly. The indicator light (C5) flashes to confirm the descaling program is running. The 'Mild' coffee strength indicator light illuminates, indicating the first step of the descaling cycle is in progress.
- Empty and clean the drip tray (A14) and coffee grounds container (A10), then replace them. Empty the water tank; if a water softener filter is installed, remove it.
Step 2: First Rinse
- Pour 100 ml of descaling solution into the water tank up to the 'A' mark (Fig. 38), then add 1 litre of water up to the 'B' mark (Fig. 39). Place the water tank back into the coffee machine.
- Place an empty container of 2 litres capacity under the coffee outlet (A16) and hot water spout (D5) (Fig. 40).
- Press the button to start the descaling cycle. The indicator light will flash to confirm the first step is in progress.
- Approximately 15 minutes later, the machine will automatically pause and dispense hot water alternately between the hot water spout and the coffee outlet. When the first phase of descaling is complete, the low water indicator light (C2) will illuminate.
Step 3: Second Rinse
- Empty the container used to collect the descaling solution. Remove and empty the water tank, rinse it with fresh drinking water, then refill it to the MAX level (Fig. 41). If a water softener filter is installed, reinstall it. Place the water tank back into the machine and place the container under the coffee outlet and hot water spout.
- Press the flashing button to start rinsing. The 'Normal' coffee strength indicator light will flash, indicating the second step of the descaling cycle is in progress. Hot water will dispense from the hot water spout.
Step 4: Completing Descaling
- When the pre-ground coffee function indicator light illuminates, the descaling cycle has finished correctly.
- Coffee grounds container indicator light (C4) illuminates: Remove and empty the container used to collect rinse water. Remove and empty the drip tray and coffee grounds container, then replace all parts in the machine.
- Water tank indicator light (C2) illuminates: Remove the water tank, fill it with fresh drinking water, and replace it in the machine. The machine is ready for use.
Note:
- It is normal for water to be present in the coffee grounds container after descaling.
- (*) If the water tank was not filled to the MAX level during descaling, the machine may require a third rinse to ensure complete removal of descaling solution from the internal circuits. In this case, repeat from Step 11 of Section 3.
19. Descaling
Before descaling, read the product instructions and safety warnings on the descaling solution packaging.
Only De'Longhi descaling solution can be used with this machine. Damage to the machine caused by using unsuitable descaling solutions or incorrect descaling procedures is not covered by the warranty.
Descaling solution can damage delicate surfaces of the machine. If descaling solution accidentally splashes out, wipe it off immediately.
