Get Started

To begin using the SGW1010 Evaluation Kit, follow these steps:

  1. Download and install the Segger J-Link software.
  2. Download the Nordic nRF5 SDK v15 or newer.
  3. Extract the SDK to a convenient working location.

Connectors and Interfaces

The evaluation board includes several key connectors and interfaces:

  • USB1: Typically used for power and programming/debugging.
  • USB2: Often used for connecting peripherals or as a device interface.
  • LiPo Connector: For connecting a Lithium Polymer battery.
  • Power Input: Includes VIN (Voltage In), GND (Ground), EXT_VDD, EXT_VOUT pins for external power management.
  • Reset: A dedicated reset button and pin.
  • Power Switch: A slide switch labeled "POWER SW6" for turning the board on/off.
  • User Buttons: Four general-purpose buttons labeled SW1, SW2, SW3, SW4.
  • Status LEDs: Five LEDs labeled LED1 through LED5, indicating various states.
  • Debug In Header: For connecting external debug probes.
  • PROGRAM Header: For programming the module.

Caution

The SGW1010 Evaluation Board does not include LiPo cell protection or charging circuits. Only use LiPo cells/battery that feature both overcurrent and undervoltage protection.
