Cooking
Preparations
Ingredients can be marinated before cooking.
Starting a Cooking Program
- Place the air fryer on a stable, level surface with adequate air circulation.
- Place the frying plate into the basket and add ingredients. Use the grill for layering if needed. Layering without the grill may affect cooking.
- Push the basket fully into the air fryer. Use the control knob to select manual mode or a preset recipe (e.g., yogurt, chicken wings, fries). Set mode (e.g., crispy grill/defat), ingredient quantity (single/double layer), temperature, and time. Press the knob to start cooking. Scheduled cooking will begin automatically to meet the set completion time.
- Cooking Adjustments: Temperature and time can be adjusted during cooking (except for yogurt). In defat mode, only time is adjustable. Confirm adjustments by pressing the knob.
- Turning Ingredients: Ingredients usually don't need turning unless specified (e.g., fries over 500g, which will prompt for halfway turning).
- Completion: The air fryer will beep and display "Completed" or "Keeping warm..." if applicable. Carefully remove the hot basket using clamps.
CAUTION: Basket is very hot after cooking. Do not touch.
Other Operations
- Language Settings: Turn on the air fryer, go to settings, select language, and confirm.
- Manual Mode: Select manual mode, set temperature, then time, and press to start.
- Temperature/Time Adjustment: Temperature adjusts in 5°C increments (40°C-220°C). Time adjusts in 1-minute or 10-minute increments depending on the range (<60 min or >60 min). For recipe cooking, time adjustment range varies with temperature (1 hour for 80°C-220°C, 24 hours for <80°C).
- Scheduled Cooking: Select schedule, choose recipe, set cooking time and scheduled completion time. The scheduled time must be longer than cooking time but less than 24 hours. Not supported for yogurt, dried fruit, or defrost modes.
- Keeping Warm Function: Enabled by default (30 mins at 80°C). Suspended if the basket is removed; resumes if replaced within 3 minutes. Ends if not replaced within 3 minutes.
- Pause/Cancel Cooking: Press knob to pause. Press and hold knob for 1 sec to cancel, then confirm "Yes".
- Cloud Recipe Mode: Execute recipes via the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app. Cooking stops automatically after completion. Schedule function can be used with cloud recipes. Cannot be used if the air fryer is off, Wi-Fi is disconnected, or the basket is out.
